I knew it! If you did the quest before the win celebration then the rebel extremist (if alive) will poison Thaletas (if alive) and ruin everyone's evening. Thaletas is the biggest target throughout the whole quest line. It's very easy to get him to challenge you to a duel to the death. However he has a chance to romance both Kass and Kyra one after the other (apparently Kyra is not a jealous type) so it's "heavy risk...but the priiiiize..." (ME2 reference). huh. Why would he poison Thaletas, that is such a weird decision. But when Socrates brought the prisoner up he was kinda like, "do it by sunrise" but I knew this game didn't work like that. If anything, I semi forgot about it, semi decided to test the "time" requirement. Kyra was a major turn off. I didn't flirt with her, I sided with her strategic plan. She'd had one scuffle with her boy toy on screen, gotten jealous I'd even met him before I'd met her... and decided to dump all her "maybe he's not for me, there is something between us" out of nowhere. I was not feeling that. And I watched Thaletos romance on youtube and after so many dialogue lines even getting him to cheat on Kyra in the first place, he seemed to make a REAL decision and choose you. Only for him to talk to Kyra off screen and decide that was an "in the moment passion" or something that Kyra needs to forgive and ignore. o-o Glad I missed it. That was a hot mess. Thelatas wasn't poisoned despite my releasing the rebel before the rebellion was concluded in one PT so I'm guessing perhaps the way you respond to him is the trigger? An additional thought on having the quest item before being given the quest. Frankly I'm happy they didn't lock the items until the quest has been taken. Despite the ability to port all over, I don't relish running from point A to B and back to A. Especially when you just came from B. I was happy to find I've the item and handed it over though I wished the dialogue is written differently.

Aaagh that clears something up for me, I did the Sokrates release the rebel quest way after completing the whole Kyra/Thaletas/Poldarkes situation.

If you choose not to give a speech then no poisoning. As for the rebel motives - he is an extremist that wants freedom for the islands above all and sees Sparta as the next slave master after Athens. So he acts to break the alliance with Sparta as well.

I randomly took the Minotaurs Tour with the little boy way way after resolving the fake Minotaur situation. Found the boy hilarious, didn't even mind that the game didn't let me kill him after his betrayal.
The Flowers for the Dead was touching. I knew he'd be dead before I returned

Bit weird for Swordfish, a cultist, to not know what Deimos looked like.
I almost wanted to spare him then remembered all the murdering. Ya know, all the corpses I'd had to swim through to get to him

The minotaur is the third thing I've gone after. Which is why it's funny how gah damn shocked Kassandra is sounding. Like she hasn't already found Atlantis, riddled with a Sphynx, and slayed Medusa

If it is the god among men quest its actually an important one to finish. [brp] I realized that when he mentioned the disk. Which I find very amusing because initially I listened to the quest and declined it because I didn't want to make enemies of Aphrodite people. But then the decline made it sound like they would kill him and I reconsidered.

Kass auto answered that she'd never been to Pephke her time there was so bad she wiped it from memory. I was a little spoiled on the Diona decision but I also feel like it was pretty obvious even without the Fates Clue
