It's funny you should say that, because a few months back someone brought to my attention they had hacked DAI so that it would work on the Oculus. <snip> The experience is quite amazing apparently, but there are hurtles to overcome still - UI for one. Also the processing power required to run the game at a min. 90 fps so you don't wind up with a migraine or vomiting all over the place after playing for an hour... I think we're still a generation or two away on the console side before they'll have enough processing power for AAA RPGs with high-end graphics in VR. I suppose if you're settings are low enough you might be able to have an acceptable experience in PS VR... maybe. But I'm pretty doubtful MEA will make it over to PS VR. We'll get there eventually, and I definitely want to give it a try when they do! It looks cool on Oculus and shows there's potential. The way I picture the VR experience is like what Sony showed with Resident Evil at E3. Resident Evil looks scary in VR, because it really feels like you're in the environment. Roaming the dark creepy halls with just a flashlight, the ambient sounds and the anxious feeling something's going to jump out at you. Yeah, I doubt ME:A will get the VR treatment, because the game is almost done and set for release next spring. Maybe in a future game after Andromeda or the new IP BioWare's been working on? Yeah, IMO it's just a matter of "when" and not "if"... PS Neo and XB Scorpio will be out next year which might be more tempting for higher end games to take a stab at VR. On the PC side, once they work out the kinks for SLI working with VR, then you could just keep throwing hardware at your VR rendering burdens to make them go away.

Man, I am not looking forward to the day when AAA games have all moved to VR . It will be a sad time for those like me who can't watch 3D movies or play first-person games. I selfishly hope that Dragon Age keeps being made in a format that I can actually experience. (Not that I want to hold the rest of the world back from enjoying games in that way! I'm just going to cry a lot if this really takes off and I have to spend the rest of my life with only old favourites and mobile games.)

Subject: Let The Cutscenes Never End & More Cutscene Kink
Background: I am new to DA and Inquisition is my game. On first (and only) playthru. Currently lvl17.
I can't get enough smex. Okay, hear me out. I just came from playing Witcher3. Where I felt like I was batting the women off with a broomstick every five minutes. I loved Inquisition's cuts with Dorian. But I could have used moooorrrrre.
Here's my proposal. After the main game release with it's full venue of cutscenes - not to replace the main game cutscenes or side cuts: 1) Cutscene DLCs you could buy separately filled with more scenes with all the characters (suggested price $5.00). 2) Individual downloads of cutscenes that would be ongoingly produced after game release where you could choose individual files to download pertinent to a character or subject (suggested price $1.00 a scene).

I don't know if VR will ever replace monitors entirely, but at the very least I imagine they will co-exist for many, many years to come. But I know you're not alone in having issues with 3D and FPS games and I do hope they continue to produce games in a format you (and others) can play in.

Based on dai i would like the option to purchase or have the option on the wheel to have a torch
I was trying to find a mosaic piece in a cave near the farm in hinterlands and i was using the veilfire torch to help when a torch should have been an option. Mages in da universe have a light option ( last flight) and yet also not in dai

Armors not being so damn serious and TOO practical. This is a fantasy series, if I want to be a sexy rogue who wears just some unpractical, extravagant latexy lingerie with his nips exposed, ass visible and dick bulging, they should let me imo. A good variety of different armors, and especially the ability to change the look of your armor (and not being restricted to light-medium-heavy categories) is important. DA:I was incredibly boring in terms of armors and it was WAAAAY too practical for me. I want some incredibly flashy, sexy, ridiculous and unpractical armor for the next game, though of course not forgetting the practical, '' regular '' armor.

Besides a better story than DAI and a protagonist that isn't a mary sue with a McGuffin hand?
1) Longer romances 2) Better hair 3) More linear maps 4) Less fetch quests 5) Bigger differences between races 6) Multiple origins for each race 7) No boob armor 8) Darker atmosphere

- Improved side quests with actual cut scenes and good story. This is probably on everyone's list but doesn't hurt to repeat it for emphasis. - Bring back healing magic and other health-related gameplay from the earlier games. Don't limit health potions and don't make me go back to camp to restock. Healing magic is part of the lore so it should be there. - Go back to level-scaling for enemies and eliminate artificial constraints like the power mechanism. - Different body types would be nice. Probably won't happen I know.

Make the darkspawn eyes black. I know this doesn't seem like a big thing. Who even zooms in on the monsters besides, y'know, me? But I think the darkspawn would be improved by this minor aesthetic change. Forgive the bad Photoshop, but here's what I mean:

Besides that, I think Bioware needs to trim down the number of "Last Request" type of sidequests. You know, where the PC comes across a dead body or a note saying "Please bring this letter to my family/Light a candle at this shrine/Scatter my husband's ashes over this cliff." Off the top of my head, I can think of six or seven in DAI. I would also eliminate the mounts — it's resources better spent elsewhere — but I know that even with all the booing and hissing people have done over the mounts, they would go back to complaining about their absence.

1) Longer in terms of total amounts of conversations or do you specifically mean the length of the 'culmination' scenes? 5) Bigger visual differences or statistical differences? 8) Darker in the lighting sense or in the theme sense? 1) The amount of conversations as a whole. I'd also love to have more scenes after the climactic boning, because sex as a final reward is weird, and I hate how you never really have a real conversation or moment afterwards. 2) More statistical differences would actually be pretty neat, but I meant how people perceive and treat you. DAI obviously implemented races towards the tail end of production, so they all felt fairly homogeneous in comparison to the racism or favoritism you could face in DAO. I recall a particularly egregious scene in Inquisition where my dalish elf had to have very basic elven lore explained to him, and I just hope they try and avoid that in the future. 3) Both. Also in the atmospheric sense. Everything in DAO and even DA2 was fairly ugly, which worked well with the darker fantasy world they were trying to portray. In comparison, DAI was mostly beautiful, bright, and breathtaking in a way that I think was unintentional, since it inadvertently changed the tone of the entire series from dark to high fantasy. They could have used the beauty of things like the fade and rifts to juxtapose the abhorrent violence and demons they spawned, but that wasn't really the case. They were clearly aping ASOIAF when they began production on DAO, and they were even more clearly aping Skyrim when they began production on DAI, so I just hope they look at the success of GOT and ape that once again for DA4.

I want most conversations to go back to a cinematic style. I hated that all conversations except the most important ones were zoomed out.
Bring back naming your own save files.
Make banter occur more frequently, or adjust the system because it's almost impossible to experience it all in one playthrough.

I don't know if someone already said this, but I will: NO INVENTORY RESTRICTION. What's the matter with all these AAA RPG/MMO and their fixation with limited inventory space? Fricking Chrono Trigger figured it out 20 years ago. It's annoying as hell Oh an Menus. Like, DAI' were sufficient but it could be so much better. And also joining the badwagon on fetch quest. All RPG has them, but they must be interesting and affect the characters/areas.

Fricking Chrono Trigger figured it out 20 years ago. It's annoying as hell Inventory could be a whole topic on it's own. I think with all games with restricted inventory is that it's supposed to force you to make choices of what to keep and what to leave behind (need vs greed), but in DAI's case (and in others) all it really does is get running back and forth to vendors and your storage chest. You're not having to save space for food/water/ammunition, no attrition/need for survival resources, consumables are treated differently, gold and crafting supplies are treated differently. And it's just generous enough that you're not often forced to leave stuff behind. Also, it's a very simple slot-based system so a full suit of armor takes as much space as a ring. So yeah, the limitations, especially since you're encouraged to pick up everything, are just mildly annoying. DA doesn't need inventory restrictions (unless there are technical reasons why there should be). I'll usually cheat myself a few hundred slots so I can spare myself the inconvenience. Otherwise, I'm fine with the simple system they have. I might ask that in the future though that things that are potentially useful (eg. requisition-style items) be kept separate from junk, so you know what you can safely sell. Also I liked that you could break down gear in DAMP for crafting materials and it'd be nice to see that on the SP side of the game. But maybe in a less random manner (mix of predictable and random materials?). And anything that takes up space you should be able to put into a storage chest.

I would also like the storage chest to be in a place that doesn't need a whole area load before I can get to it. And be able to view stats of items in the chest against companions, not just my character.

I'd like them to do towns better. Larger certainly, but also more dynamic with people moving around, not always in the same place, a real sense of life to it. Drakensang: River of Time managed it 7 years ago with many fewer resources than EA can chuck at a game. More opponents and allies per combat. The best combat in the whole series was Redcliffe village (at least on PC), where there were lots of undead plus plenty of villagers, even some knights if you did it right. A swirling confused melee. It was glorious and I want more. I'm not so fussed about day/night as the periods are always so short you end up doing a short quest half at night, which nearly always ruins any verisimilitude. God no. Linear maps are awful. However open maps can be better designed. A more mobile cast could mean that the world becomes different for everyone. Yes you can have the odd choke-point (preferably with some interesting bypass), but hopefully the defenders of said choke-point will then defend it properly, not abandoning their cover to jump down next to the guy with the big axe.
