I think you have to go to the Playstation store and download it there, I remember for certain being unable to do it from the game. If it still doesn't work I recommend contacting EA support or possibly Playstation support. If you're still having problems I can make an effort and try to look up how I solved it (because, if it's of any consolation, I did solve it).

(Unrelated to the original problem but still an issue with me playing dragon age ) I started a quest called Night Terrors or something and I entered the fade and everything went and messed up so I reloaded an earlier save and basically did some other quests instead and left that alone... ... help with that quest would be appreciated is there a good way to do it???

Aveline don't like it to go into the fade and don't like it if you help Feynriel in the fade Merrill is buggy, she give you disapproval when you want help Feynriel Varric like it when you help Feynriel, but gives no disapproval when the end is unpleasant.
Ultimately, you have to fight against two of your companions in the fade. In your case, you have to fight against Merrill and Aveline. In that moment it has not an affect on your relationship of both. This is clarified after the fade. To make it easier for you, remove all equipment from you companions. Especially Varric and Merril are very strong enemies in the fade.
edit:
@topic author:
on your console go into the PS Store and Enter your DA2 codes when it is done go into your contents or downloads (I don't know exactly how Sony named it in English) and choose the DLC and click on Download the PS3 will tell you, when all is done start the game, load your savegame and go home. Now there should be a new letter and a new place one the map

So if I do the mission will no disapproval happen in the whole thing??? Because I think I got +20 disapproval from Merrill at one point...
Im ok with spoilers for this one mission if that helps I just want to get through it without people disapproving because their friendships are all pretty high by now.
@playstation thing - it isnt a code its a free dlc. I downloaded and installed it but it isnt showing in the game at all. Will go to EA help today.

The wiki will tell you exactly what disapproval you will get based on your decisions (I can't remember). If you plan to destroy the demon, take people with you who will like that, unless you are trying to rival them. Additionally, each demon will tempt certain companions, and those companions (up to 2) will always accept the demon's offer, no matter what you say. They all apologize afterwards.

I generally dont trust demons so yup ill be killing it Ill check the wiki thank you With the playstation issue um I contacted EA help and I spoke to someone called Dharmendra and they emailed me some troubleshooting steps... System Update isnt a problem because its up to date... my internet connection is fine so yup not an issue either... I have no idea what a media server connection is and the storage isnt a problem my playstation is basically empty... so I might have to delete my game utility files thats the next step That wont delete my saves will it??? Just make me download the updates and stuff again???

If I remember correctly, if you start a fight without hearing the offer first, Merril disapproves. If you have her, you should first hear what the demon has to say, then say no. Then she'll stay neutral (neither friendship nor rivalry points).

Sorry for stressing out about this one mission but I dont want rivalry haha especially since im romancing Merrill Well... since you reject Torpor's offer, the first person that should come with you is Anders - lots of friendship points there. You can take Merril, however, the best way to go about it is, hear the offer, then when Anders/Justice tells you *not* to take the offer, agree and attack. As I said before, Merril's points won't change, but you'll get +10 friendship points from Anders. Also, in case of Merril, you should be sarcastic/neutral when she gets tempted, otherwise, you'll get a lot of Rivalry points. Another one you can take in the Fade is actually Isabela. Be sarcastic in the Fade when she gets tempted (+5 Friendship), and then be forgiving after the quest. Major friendship boost there (trust me, you'll need those in Isabela's case later on) Another one with which you can get friendship points because you deal with Torpor is Fenris. Not much (+5), unless you attack without hearing Torpor's offer. (+10). Nothing changes no matter what you say when he's tempted, I think. Personally, I think the best team (to gain friendship points), is Anders, Fenris and Isabela. Give it a try and see how it goes.

If you take Anders and agree with the demon, Anders/Justice, will have some dialogue and it could lead to.... I won't spoil it for you, but I do enjoy the end result Before you talk with the demon, there are two barrel puzzles. Here's the solutions. There is also a floating book on the right when first gaining control of Hawke. All 3 will give attribute points.

Sorry for stressing out about this one mission but I dont want rivalry haha especially since im romancing Merrill Rivalry is NOT the same thing as hate or disapproval in DAI. You can get rivalry and still romance Merrill, as long as you get enough rivalry (I don't know what percent is required...I would think at least 50% either way by the end of act 2). Rivalry just means the companion disagrees with Hawke, not that they dislike each other.

I did it I took Anders Isabela and Fenris The first time I started panicking because I had to kill my companions and it clearly said that a death in the fade would make them tranquil so I was afraid I was gonna make Merrill tranquil or something glad that wasnt the case although im not exactly sure why its different Either way its all done now more friendship points than anything Also yup thank you sorry it was me just mixing up language between disapproval and rivalry... either way im trying to be friends with everyone

Another reason to talk to Torpor, even if you are going to kill him, is because he tells you how to save Feynriel if you ask the right question.
I usually take Anders, since he won't be tempted, Isabela for friendship points gain, and rotate the third one. Usually it's Varric or Merrill, but this last time I took Aveline and she didn't turn on me either. Maybe because she was at 100% friendship already? That unfortunately doesn't stop Varric. I took Fenris once and he really didn't like it, so now I don't take him anymore.
