You're not really comparing a couple of hundred non-randomised extra negative opinions out of millions sold copies as something statistically significantly verified? Because that is what is. 1400 (not verified owners or separate persons) on metacritic are negative to FO76 on PC and 1100 negative for FO4. The confirmation and inclusion bias here is huge. I am just saying the conversation around the game seems more negative, not making any coloration between the negativity and the amount of people it represents. There sure is vocal group out there making damn sure this game stays current. But they were bitching quite a lot about FO4 as well. Most likely the same people. I made the mistake to listen to that BS for a while regarding FO4. But, yeah, then I decided to get the game see for myself, and for me Fallout 4 is easily the best game of 2015. That is the last time I bothered with user reviews. Absolute rubbish. The so called professionals...yeah...I gave up on them way ahead of that.

Loved Fallout 4, played it back to back to back to back ... my brother still thinks I am crazy. I just respond with "I like shit things!" (even though I don't think Fallout 4 is shit).
I had to rage delete Fallout 76 though, but not for reasons most people hate it for ... the performance on PS4 actually gave me a headache when playing. I hope they get it to maintain around 25 - 30 fps so I can at least get through the main story part of the game.

It is running smoother now. I'm on PC so I don't know how things are on PS4 but the more dupers that get banned the better the performance. There is still the problem with people hoarding too much on mules. Mules are of course ok but thousands upon thousands of everything. At times I think they should go harder into the survival thing like survival mode encumbrance in FO4.

On PS4 there were constant dips into the 10 FPS range. I have heard plenty of pc players say it is alright now but haven't really gathered any info from ps4 players.
I would even settle for a ton of sliders to decrease graphical fidelity, turn off shadows, turn of grass, remove unimportant rubble etc to try and get the performance acceptable.

Haven't played 76 yet, but from what I've seen, it's reminding me a bit of SWTOR as in, I can do what I want without being forced into joining random players, and it seems pretty much like a single player Fallout. I honestly do not care about human NPC's either. I get that with my other games. For me, I'm going to play it for the enjoyment of exploring, listening to good music and learning about the story. Drama be damned. I'm a Fallout girl no matter what game.

Still some bugs here and there but their squashing them every week. Sadly the stability issues are probably mostly the cause of some narcissists among the players.

I was following the lore on OXhorn's YouTube and it's really interesting stuff! I'm excited for more things to be added once they get all the bugs sorted out. I have an unlimited connection with a pretty strong gaming PC and a 4K monitor. I'm hoping I won't have too many issues. RDR2 was a masterpiece on this monitor on my Xbox One X.

"It has come to light that Fallout 76 has one of these rooms, with everything in it. Every item in the game, and actually the game's only NPC. But even better, it contained items which had not been released. Now this had been discovered quite some time ago, but the information was kept secret. People were not willing to share their methods and indeed this even lead to some enterprising individuals selling things on Ebay for real money, just like we did back in the Diablo 2 days."Stuff like this just makes my day, xD. So funny

Any tips for how/where to complete the Enclave portion of the main quest where you need 10 "points" to advance? I got one point by defeating an enemy with a star next to his name, but otherwise I've just been sort of wandering around hoping to run into another one and/or an "Enclave event," without much luck.

You can farm legendaries in Whitespring and Uranium fever for instance but the Enclave events are in the Cranberry bog and the Mire. Just keep an eye open for any event in the bog and FT there asap if it says "enclave event". It is "Bots on parade", "Dropped Connection" and "A real blast". Killing scorhbeast should give commendations as well so the BoS thing where you activate the Surface to air missile at Ft Defiance should be a gold mine.

Bethesda has a month to reply to legal recourse before its taken to court.
And yet some people still will defend this game, its funny.

It's probably gonna end up in arbitration. Potentially I suppose, I am not going to pretend to be a legal expert or anything on that in relation to criminal and electronic fraud or what have you. That said I will point out that its proceeding forward, plenty of people thought it would be a joke, that the law firm that took the case was doing it strictly for PR and it would never actually go anywhere, but no they served Bethesda.

No accounting for taste I suppose. I mean who am I to talk? I bought Dead Rising 4 thinking it couldn't be worse than 3. ._. In principle I suppose it's the same with everyone who buys Bethesda's latest iteration of the same game with the same engine, with less features they've been using for twenty years.

Here is a hour long video essay about Fallout 76. I like the majority of content this author puts out and thought others might appricate it. Its definitely on the more negative side at least at the beginning.

FO76 has a problem with item duplication and a hidden room for dev test that contains all the items. Now that would be bad in itself but apparently there is second market on amazon and the like for powerful items so cheaters exploited the crap out of it to earn real dolla on duplicated items. But these large inventories of 100K items of super juice power gear actually destabilise the game from what I hear. Lag, crashes that kind. So I can see why they would query inventories.

While I agree that ultra power weapons and armor could have been a problem, the problem I see looking at Bethesda's response is they are only banning him from having a lot of ammo which I will admit in other Fallout games I can accumulate a lot of it myself.

I guess they ran the query, it found large quantity and auto-classified as cheater. Probably not reviewed or misinterpreted.

I guess they ran the query, it found large quantity and auto-classified as cheater. Probably not reviewed or misinterpreted. Probably true and I bet they are unable to look at the character's inventory either to see if they really have that much ammo. The problem I am seeing is that they got a flag from an automated system banned the account and when contacted by the player it has become a "the system says this" without being able to review or verify. To me this would be the same as when EA banned a person from Origin therefore losing their library after ME3 when they were just trying to ban them from the forums. The thing is EA unlocked their account the moment it came to light, Bethesda seems to be a "we will look into it, trust us" mode.
