It would be very difficult for me not to know. And if they did manage it, ai would just be annoyed. Bleh on that idea and bleh on the veil falling until at least the final act of the game. If I have to wait the whole game for it, I'll be pissed. If I wanted to play Inquisition all over again, I would already be doing that. If the veil isn't coming down, then the plot should be about something else entirely. Well, hang on - even if we play as Inquisitor, who said that we're going to play Inquisition all over again? We already know that things have changed quite significantly and the relationship they built between Inky and Solas - and further continuation of the story - opens new storytelling possibilities a game couldn't have if we began at square one or close to it.

If I have to wait the whole game for it, I'll be pissed. If I wanted to play Inquisition all over again, I would already be doing that. If the veil isn't coming down, then the plot should be about something else entirely. My understanding of the veil.coming down via a certain elf is literally death for everyone. It would be so underwhelming for it to instead be a few more monsters than the rift tears gave us in DAI. I mean, how could they portray the sheer chaos and mass death this is supposed to mean in a way that is still functional to play in? I also want to appreciate Tevinter and other areas we've never seen (anderfels) BEFORE they are destroyed by the veil drop and the chaos or the war or whatever big bad is dropping Solas's phrasing was pretty broad and vague, and I don't think he actually knows what will happen when the veil comes down. My understanding was that the majority of the ancient elven world consisted of magical constructs, and thus was destroyed when the force keeping it all together (magic) was sealed away. I don't believe that veil down = immediate extinction event, but if it DOES, then I'm doomed to keep playing in a world that I don't really have any interest in, so bye bye remaining shreds of interest in the series.

Time or dimensional travel is not inherently a sci-fi concept. From games look at Chrono Trigger... coincidentally it's a favorite game of one of the current DA leads. Think you're playing Devil's advocate here. They went through the trouble of explaining how much of a one time thing the time travel was in DAI TBH, the information from Trespasser that Solas has created the Veil and that it was never a permanent thin has basically put many things on their head. We don't really know now what really is possible and what it isn't. Also, nobody said that the SAME kind of time travel is possible - or something effectively very similar won't happen. After all, we know that in the Fade everything is real - so that means that any scenario/potential future can probably be made real and thus effectively alter the timeline. And we know that Solas mentioned once that he has plans of tearing the Veil and reconfiguring stuff...

Eh, time travel always gives me a headache. Logic is bound to go out of the window, or you have to deal with several realities, or both.

What I refer to is the fact that the focus of the previous game was sealing a veil breach, which we ended up doing TWICE in the course of a single game. How is preventing another attack on the veil any different from what we already did? I don't feel as though things have significantly changed at large. I feel as though all we do is protect/reinforce the existing status quo. I want the dynamic to change. I hate playing in a Diet GoT world where all the fantasy elements are long dead, and all we get are hints that they MIGHT come back. I want them back now. Otherwise, why even set the games in this time period? What's so great about it? Why the Fifth Blight and not the First Blight, when there were awesome griffins and shit?

I would be stoked if The Dread Wolf Rises turns out to be the actual title. That would imply (to me ) that the game would start with Solas already achieving his objectives or very close to it, both meaning Thedas would be in chaos.
I am okay with either way.

Well now we know the next DA game is "officially" a thing (I kinda figured since they've hinted at it various times before this).
I'm hoping the lines solas said was in reference to the Inquisitor finding him, I know DA doesn't reuse main protagonists but I want the Inquisitor to be the exception just this once as it's that personal to me 😊
With anthem near launch I imagine they're about to go all in on DA4 very soon, so a 2021-2022 launch seems very possible to me. Such a long wait 😞 but I really haven't had a dragon age game disappoint me yet 👍

That's like asking what's the difference between DAO and DAI - in both the main baddie is an ancient Blighted monstrosity, aren't they? We didn't even see the game or know much about it and you are already feeling that things didn't change at large...? Also, they've set the game in Dragon Age because it's DRAGON AGE. The age of change and of Dragons coming back and everything else with them it seems. It's not like they haven't been setting it up and not being relaly subtle about the fact that things are about to take a very dramatic turn.

The awards were (imo) rather disappointing overall, the exception being God of War winning GOTY and, of course, DRAGON AGE.

I just woke up (it's 6.40 am here) and wow! I'm supposed to go to Uni now?! Solas sounds really tired in the teaser and quite familiar with the person he's speaking to (a'la trespasser), so I'm thinking either the Inquisitor has found him or the new protag new him in some capacity before opposing his plan. Or this is just a "cute" way of referencing trespasser, and I'm reaching way far. Now I need to get ready for a day of studying (and really thinking about every frame of that video)

My first impression of the figure of the right was that it was a depiction of the dread wolf given the snout and multiple eyes, but seeing as we don't see the entirety of the creature I can't be sure it is wolf shaped, whatever it is it seems like it has black inky blotches coming off of it - blighted? It is flanking a red lyrium idle and red lyrium is blighted.
My first thought when looking at the figure on the left was "Is that Ghilan'nain?", seeing as it seemed to have white hair (as we know she does) and stands in opposition to the possible dread wolf as presumably all evanuris do. But looking more closely whilst the figure definately has something on its head (the face and ear are a completely different colour to the thing on its head) it could just as easily be a helmet, also it's hands are also a different colour to the face so who knows. But it's wearing a fur similar to the one Solas wears in Trespasser.
Interestingly there's a shadowy tendril moving between the left figures horned staff and one of the blackened semi circles (but moving toward or being sucked out?)
