I would just use the compiler/decompiler in Mass Effect 3 mod manager. Just drag the file onto the UI and hit decompile.

Then you can just search for stuff. Much easier and works with DLC.

To recompile drop the same-named .xml file onto the UI again and compile as coalesced manifest.
