Amnesia: the Dark Descent is one of my worst games, simply because I had expectations. People keep talking it up as the scariest game of all time and I found it badly written and dull. It has all of the same problems as Penumbra, without the benefit of an interesting location.

I decided to play RE6 for shits and giggles to see how bad it was, I gave up by Leon's second chapter. What a bunch of tripe. At least RE5 was a average game, RE6 is just complete shit.

Simpsons Wrestling was the worst I ever played, but I found it funny, even if it was for the wrong reasons.

There is one type of game that is simply the worst for me and that is movie remake or rehash games. Such as: The Matrix: The Path of Neo UGH! What a monstrosity. DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE GAME CONTROLS OR GIANT ANT ENEMIES. I am referring to the PC version of that game. Graphics were the only thing redeemable about it and then just barely.

Worst game...I absolutely hated Devil May Cry 2...that game just felt like it was so cheaply made and felt nothing like the first game at all.
Alone in the dark was another game i hated...it was the one on the ps3 (forgot the name of it) but that was chore to get through..not fun at all
Lastly RE6...I only liked Leon's level and even that ended up being a disconnected action romp....that game too was a frustrating chore to get through. Enemies with Machine guns?....shielding themselves from you...and just annoying irritating gameplay.....fighting monsters as big as godzilla...just bad. I played the game once and never touched it again...

I decided to play RE6 for shits and giggles to see how bad it was, I gave up by Leon's second chapter. What a bunch of tripe. At least RE5 was a average game, RE6 is just complete shit. I genuinely enjoyed Chris and Jake's campaigns though. I think those are actually pretty great stories. Maybe not good within the RE canon but as standalone hero's journeys they're awesome and you're missing an opportunity to not play in co-op. I played it with a stranger on PSN and it made my day/week. The payoff in Chris's campaign was genuinely emotional and upon completing Jake's I felt like it was the ending to a great game, no lie. And well, I guess part of it is that the cinematic direction and presentation is just so good it doesn't matter how old that game gets. Everything looks so true to the artistic direction it's trying to convey and co-op really adds to the story. There was something special about hanging from a ledge mashing Square to keep my grip as I see player-2 come riding down the street on a motorcycle until he reaches me and it seamlessly goes into the next cutscene where I land on his bike and look from his POV as he dodges obstacles. I honestly love RE6. Granted, I'm no longtime RE fan but I always loved RE1 and yet I accepted what RE6 was pretty quickly. It's stupid and overblown but that's what RE became at some point. However, I really don't care for what RE7 is. It's just so B-tier bland, and it has placed itself within a genre where there are way better games like Amnesia and Outlast. If you go for that FPS-creepy-hallway and hiding from enemies genre then it has to be scary but you can't take that hillbilly family seriously.

Worst game ever: Outpost (1996). This space-colonization game lacked several key features that were advertised, without any notice whatsoever.
Worst game lately: the remake of the classic RPG "Realms of Arkania: Blade of Destiny". When it came out, I was thrilled to revisit the story that had redefined my crpg expectations back around 1990-1, but it turned out to be all but unplayable.

Hmmmm, worst game ever? I am very picky about buying and playing games, so I can't say I have tried too much crappy things out there. I'd have to say that probably almost all the games I played for longer than a few hours (long enough to really judge) weren't really bad as such (otherwise, I would have abandoned them sooner). Especially nowadays, there is so much crap that is thrown on the market (and that I never played) that it seems wrong to talk trash about the game which at least gripped me enough to have me play them for multiple hours. I buy most of the games I am not 100% sure about in Steam sales 1-2 years after release for 10-15 bucks, so even if a game doesn't grip me and I quit after a few hours, I don't consider it a big deal. One exception to this is probably Command & Conquer 4. I love the C&C Tiberium universe. The first C&C was one of my earlier video game experiences and probably the first one I played that really tried to tell an engaging story. At the time, I found it super immersive with the mission briefings where your superiors would address you - the player - directly as commander of the armies ("Are you picking this up?"). Even the installer (of the original DOS version of the game) was already designed to pull you into the game universe, brilliant! So Tiberium Conflict holds a special place in the nostalgic part of my heart. I had to get used to the new ways of Tiberium Sun when it came out but eventually I grew to like that game as well and I also really enjoyed Tiberium Wars. Ever since the first trailer, as with the oldschool Mammoth tanks and Orcas it brought back some of the vibe of the first game after all the Mech stuff in the second. I even liked Renegade, though it may have been just an average shooter per se, being able to experience C&C in first person was awesome! Then came C&C4 and it was such a disaster. The gameplay didn't work at all. The story was complete rubbish, the presentation didn't work for me at all (C&C's videos were always a bit trashy but jeez, this was a whole new level of cringe). I had to play through it because I really wanted to know what would happen in the Tiberium universe but it was a pain to do so. They should have done the canceled Tiberium shooter instead. So yea, C&C4 is the probably the worst game I played without just quitting on it very quickly.

Worst Game ever? A toss up between Neverwinter Nights 1 and Arcanum. I could not wait to get my hands on either of those, but both failed. NWN1 was all around terrible, and Arcanum, well, I was interested in playing it, but I could not play with avatars looking like bowling pins. If there was one game I wish they have revamped and updated and ported into a modern awesome graphics, it would be Arcanum. Worst game lately? Blade and Soul. It's very much like NWN1, only the game has the class and battle design that is totally awesome, but it basically goes nowhere from there. It feels like a slapped together quick and dirty demo for the engine, against a backdrop of the landscapes that are gorgeous. It feels like they gave all the funds to the artists, and then brought in a couple of guys from fan-fiction dot net to do the rest. It's not even voiced, and it does not have main character's options. But, it has 1896 ways to show off your character's breasts. And to substitute for all the missed content, the gearing in the game is handled through hundreds if not thousands of repetitions of the same group content. Yeah... crazy. I stand corrected. The worst game ever, AND lately is Revelation On-line. Zero redeeming features whatsoever.

It's really hard to remember the worst game I ever played, but the games I remember from time to time that I played and hated were Tales of Symphonia (GameCube), Skyrim (360), and Final Fantasy X (PS2). See, I used to play RPGs all the way through, even if they were mediocre. Not anymore. I played FFX all the way until the final fight with Seymour, where I kept getting killed because the leveling system confused the heck outta me. Tales of Symphonia, I spend 56hrs on and I was so bored (I liked the combat system) and the story still wasn't finished, I just threw my hands in the air and quit. I played Skyrim for a little while but hated almost all of it. I hated the art, I hated the world, I hated the lack of story and characters to get to know and love, I hated the combat, and I especially hated how nearly every big game after it was striving to be like it. Recently, the worst game is, without a doubt, Assetto Corsa (PS4). I bought this game for my father as a gift. We put it in and, swear to God, couldn't even get past the first turn of the first race. It just so sim that regular sim games (which already suck to me) seem like arcade racers. Spent 60 bucks on it too. Man I hate that game

Worst ever is ET the video game. Mostly I played it because of its legendary status as the "game so bad that it broke the industry until Nintendo saved us". You can just feel the sheer amounts of not giving a fuck the developers of that game had going on.
Worst recently is harder to say, since with the wealth of information available to me on the internet I tend to have researched games I buy a lot more. I might have to go with Black Desert Online which wasn't incredibly terrible but became stupidly grindy at level 50, so I never bothered buying the game once my trial ran out.

Dark souls. I got the "prepare to die edition" cheap for my pc. The game may have some redeeming features somewhere but the pc-port is an insult to players everywhere. My son just laughed and said it is well known what a piece of junk that port is. I thought to myself it can't be that bad - but it was.

I'm not sure if it's the worst game ever, I've only been battling with it for two days, but Sea Dogs: City of Abandoned Ships has the worst UI ever! The GOG version doesn't come with a manual, but I managed to find one from when it was called Age of Pirates 2: City of Abandoned Ships. (after following many broken links.) Enter> arrow along to talk> Enter again, just to talk to someone, and hope they haven't moved while your doing it or you talk to yourself. If I ask myself if I should change the rum rations one more time.

Worst game ever, I'd vote for Marvel Heroes. The reason is I'm an Iron Man, Fantastic Four and X-Mutants fan primarily, but Marvel properties are always about Thor/Asgaard and Captain America. To give some personal context, I wanted StarkTech or Richards gadgets to enhance my loot/gear and instead, you put Asgaardian spells on them. Don't get me wrong, I am a Marvel fan, but the game wasn't just getting the parts of the game I enjoyed realised properly and it was just disappointing/frustrating to keep playing a game where everything was wrong. So I uninstalled the game and never went back! Worst game lately, Champions Online. The game had been disappointing me on many levels, but I was tolerating all the inconvienience until this happened: Lance Rain Grind. To give you an idea of how unachievable this is, it's a PVP task and it has to be done flawlessly every 2 days for a tiny return of ingame currency. That's when I gave up doing anything relating to gameplay in CO.

I have played a LOT of bad games in my life...its hard to really narrow it down. Some highlights would be Superman 64, NES Rambo, NES Karate, Drakkhen, Spirit of Speed 1937, and Tonic Trouble to name a few off the top of my head. The worst game of all...if I had to pick id say Survivor: The Interactive Game. Which is borderline unplayable and not in the ironic "fun" way like Big Rigs or Ride to Hell are. Recently, I had to review a really crappy game a few months back called Bad Rats Show. It sucked. I am sure I can think of more too, that is just off the top of my head at 1:30 am.

Dead Rising 2. I was all hyped up for the zombie killing that L4D2 had primed me for and then I got this timered BS that made me feel like crap. Had preordered it. LEarned my lesson, and returned it for store credit the day after I'd picked it up. that was 2010 apparently.
Lately? The most recent season of The Walking Dead Game may as well have been a movie you just watched, until the last episode. There were two interactive scenes where all ou could do is "Grab Barrel" and "Open Duffle bag"-- I can't even understand their thought process. Unlike the two prior seasons, which got at least one replay from me, I have absolutely no urge to replay it. This will not stop me from buying TWD season 4, because I need to know Clementine's story. But that's an emotion carried over from the first two seasons that was not reinforced in Season 3 and I judge myself in advance for the sentimental purchase.

Resident Evil 7. A lot of people praise this game for being like the old-school ones but it is not. It's just Crapcom following trends and in this case it's First-Person Horror games. Aside from the save rooms, everything was crap And not to mention that once again they've been shoving us Chris Redfield down our throats He's been in pretty much everything RE-related these days and I'm getting sick and tired of him at this point... as do other RE fans And don't remind me on how Crapcom has messed with Jill Valentine (My favorite) all those years. Don't get me wrong, I'm usually not someone to scream "sexism" or stuff like that but in this case, it's pretty much obvious. RE has been favoring its male cast for quite a while, while the female characters have been relegated to irrelevant side roles and or as fanservice characters. I'm pretty much done with them but still hope for them to get things right

Worst game recently: Sims 4. I knew going in that it had its flaws. Just like I knew going in that ME:A was going to have issues (ME:A is second here). EA wants to milk their cash cows. Sims and Mass Effect are/were cash cows. Sims 4 lost to ME:A because ME:A at least hooked me in. Sims 4 has yet to do so.
Worst game ever: Oregon Trail 3. Beginning was ok. Loved the minigames while on the trail. Never got very far due to the fact that the game would glitch up at a certain point every single time and not continue. It was my first real exposure to game companies releasing buggy products. Though mine was a disc change so I may have just had a bad disc.

When you accept it for what it is, ease to mechanics and stop asking why?...it's one of the best TPS games out there. It turns into this crazy fun over the top John Woo style of action. Also this tribute song is hilarious

Recently? The most recent Tomb Raider. After playing Uncharted 4, I was bored with the Tomb Raider sequel after a few minutes of listening to Lara crying and moaning while climbing the mountain, but since I liked the first one, I stay committed and ploughed through the story. I can’t remeber any character’s name besides Jonah and Lara. I have no flippin clue what the story was about. At one point I was attempting to collect everything on the map, but I couldn’t make myself do even that. Never in my life have I played an action game with such an uncharismatic lead character than Lara. The physics were floaty, the action was flat, the combat dull and the environment sucked!! Who wants to be stuck playing in frozen tundra 80% of the time? I felt like I was stuck on a freaking Russian nuclear submarine. The game was soooo boring. Only thing that made it go down easier was that I was binging Better Call Saul on Netflix. I didn’t remember the other Tomb Raider game being so awful.
Overall? That Ark game is pretty horrendous. A friend convinced me to get it, and after 5 minutes I requested a refund. Pure horse shit. U.I. and character design made my eyes bleed. I know it was in its beta at the time or whatever, but I don’t care.
Runner up would be Mario Maker. Good concept, but you know you have a problem when the top rated levels are auto play levels.
