My friends all agreed to do the no kill option in the three events open to us (Diana's is n/a) … so got those achievements. For Dekibra … if you get the no engage bug, get killed, respawn … that has worked for me in the past. With the unstable world, that should be easy. Had it happen in freeplay, strongholds, LMs and LCs … dying, getting revived doesn't work, respawning doesn't work, dying and respawning works.

So did some stuff, acted as official tour guide for some people who were kinda lost. Would have been ok if I wasn't almost as lost as they were haha. Did some freeplay but I keep getting this issue where the controller just goes nuts and is super delayed and spins me around in circles uncontrollably for a minute or so. Always happens at inconvenient times like objectives or when I'm about to die of course.

Man I’ve been SHOWERED in legendaries today. All stuff i didnt have yet for my ranger, only 1 component to go! Praise be to the mighty and glorious RNGsus. And even more golden showers for me! My ranger is now legendary’d up component-wise. And the inscriptions aren’t even half bad! I have somwthing of +120% combo damage... when i play and he just rips everything apart at gm3, even! I use the fire grenade and my god roll avenger’s boon, and renewed courage with focused freeze. It’s a twist on the ice grenade / ralner combo, but i like it better. Playing like this is high adrenaline stuff! I tried building a melee ranger, but it’s just less effective. Same for an ult ranger. I like having power at the tip of a hand, not intermittenly. Really hooked on ranger 😉

Last night I ran a few cataclysms with my Ranger instead of my Interceptor and he might actually be the better choice overall right now for this kind of thing. Especially since I can kill the elementals more reliably and in terms of time left we usually end up with enough "what else could we possible do"-time so that I don't necessarily need to run my route or variations of it with the Interceptor. Also we were probably about to break 10 million but just as we had the highest score so far the bosskill got fucked up. Would have been great to top our highest score again, especially if it was going to be over 10 million.

Finally got 'em! In random groups on Xbox, seems like someone is always running the Grabbit King quest/challenge just for the points, so I just followed the player at the last stage into the hideout...

That looks funny! Maybe now you can hideout amongst the Grabbits and be accepted by them. (I still want to be able to pick one up and take it back to the Fort as a pet).

I just solo'd Vara 3 times while the other guys got a lesson about where to find and do what while I was trying to get the timing optimized for efficient adds farming. I need a bit more damage though for my Ultimate but other than that the role is pretty easy. I also got a legendary Spectre's Flash from the daily war chest challenge and I was expecting much worse. It's actually pretty good with a few charges and I just did a solo in today's legendary mission with it. I think it goes really nice with the Venom Bomb and Acid Blades build as a close and midrange detonator. Was expecting much worse from this ability and didn't have much interest until now... good thing a decent one dropped from that chest because I'm not buying any gearchests myself...

I haven't played as much as I should. Is there still time? I've completed the Story and defeated Vara once (in the Story) and twice during Co-Op stuff, but that's it. I still find it confusing--where to go, what to do especially during the latter stages of the Cataclysm. I get disoriented and lost quite easily. find I'm better off and more of an asset to my team when I play an arena I know like Tyrant Mine or even the Sunken Cell though the water turbines still give me trouble as I get turned around easily.

Time for cataclysm? Yes, there's 30 days left on the tasks or whatever they're called. If there's longer than that I'm not sure. It took me a while to get the hang of where I am going (I still haven't figured out the teleporters lol), but maybe try following another player around or there are some good YouTube things going around which have some useful info. XCPTNL posted a link as well which is good for once you get the basic layout figured out too. As long as you're doing something or trying to, that's good enough for me. Anyway did some random stuff today to try and clear out some of those challenges. Got 2 leggos, both rubbish and still not the last gear piece I need to complete that section 😂. Tried out some of the freeplay stuff again, got the whole team into the storm gate event and cleaned that out easily. The grabbit ears helmets is a very popular look at least 1 and usually 2 players have it anytime I go anywhere. No crashes, no issues so thats a win for me.

I'm not buying any gearchests myself... Well....Viper on PS4 pays his grandson to open chests..... Try that :/ What I meant to say: I'm not buying them because I already have gotten the two things I wanted for the Ranger very quickly twice and the second time each item had +200% charges so I'm good for now. And I didn't have any interest in the gear for the Interceptor and no use for Storm/Colossus stuff because I don't play them. I got the Spectre's Flash for the Interceptor via the daily challenge quest, otherwise I would probably never have gotten and use it. All my money/crystals are going to melee war chests although I might stop for now to save some crystals for the next chest (I hope it's support gear finally). About knowing what to do and where: I can highly recommend reading up on stuff, going through some guide like the one I posted a few days ago from Vulkk and it also helps to have somebody just show you all the stuff. It might be a bit challenging because you have to share the notes to stay alive but in my opinion that's a good way to do it. I myself don't know the complete map because there are areas I never do and leave them to somebody else. I have had slight variations in my route but the stuff I usually do I do all the time so I'm familiar with it. I want to learn the other secrets as well though so that I can basically do everything. Last night a buddy showed 2 guys a lot of stuff and I was practicing grinding down and farming Vara so that I can play that role as well if necessary although I need more damage for it if I wanted to do it in a highscore run attempt...

EB ( Energizer Bunny 211 ) … if you call up the map, you will see the various events … spirals for all but Vara, who sports a skull. If you hold your cursor over the event symbol and hit spacebar, exit the map and you will have red triangle guides to take you to an event. Generally speaking, most folks start with the one off in the distance, but directly in front of you at the initial spawn point. When you get there, if someone has not already, shoot the rift (up above you) to gain some stability for the area. The stability will be temporary until you complete that event … so you may have to shoot it a couple of times (for more advanced play, leaving the rift alone increases your score … but we'll focus on the basics first). It's similar to one of the puzzles in the Sunken Cell … get the posts lowered, then shoot the crystal after the barrier is lowered. Once that is done, if you look to the east, there is a ridge created by a broken metal conduit. Follow that conduit up to the next event. That one tends to be confusing for new folks, so if you are in a decent pug, follow the others … one person steps on a pressure plate, another grabs the echo after the barrier drops. Repeat on both sides of the platform (a total of four echoes, the max one can carry is three … so it takes at least two folks, without making repeat trips). Take the echoes to the back of the map and dive into the scummy pond, put two of the echoes into the first two holders in the pond … that lowers the barrier, allowing the other person to take two echoes and put them in the two holders in the back part of the pond … this lowers the barrier that protects the fifth echo. Grab the fifth echo and the other two you put into the holders in back, pass through the portal between front and rear of the pond and put those echoes into the holders on dry land. A person waiting for you to exit the back, will grab the final two echoes in the holders in the front of the pond and take those to the last two empty holders on dry land. Once the fifth echo is in place on dry land, the barrier to the crystal will drop and you can shoot the crystal. Once that is done, the next event is northwest … again, bring up the map, hover over the event, hit spacebar and you will get directions to the event. Shoot the rift when you first get there (it's above the crystal) to make the area stable. It's a simple return four pieces of a shaper relic to rebuild the relic. But … you can't take a piece through a barrier, it will strip the piece off. Pick up the piece, wait for the green light/barrier disappears, then quickly move forward, head toward the shaper relic … but again, hold short of the barrier, wait for the green light/barrier drop, then quickly move to the relic and deliver it. If everyone is helping out, it doesn't take long … shoot the crystal once all four pieces have been returned to the relic. After that, once again, bring up your map … highlight the next event (Diana's landing) … exit out the north exit to the area you are in (there are two exits … the east exit is the way you originally entered). Travel to Diana's landing and kill all the things … a bunch of turrets, brutes, stormtroopers, Valkyries … when you see the dogs show up, that is near the end of the waves and a fury (riftmaster) will show up. Defeat the fury to gain the keys to unlock the consoles (indicators will pop up to show where to take the keys) and drop the shield around the crystal. Shoot the crystal to complete the event. After that (for now) it's off to kill Vara … the first few times, you really do need the direction pointers to get to her … after a few runs, it will be simple. So call up the map, cursor over the skull, spacebar … and off you go to take down the Spear (Vara). Once you are there, don't be shy, give Vara a great big hug. Up close and personal, melee, powers, weapons … and your ultimate … but keep the rift stable … when the rift is unstable, Vara is invincible … especially bad if you've just triggered your ultimate. She goes through several phases, but when she is throwing out her fire orbs, don't worry about shooting her, just hop from post to post, stay off the floor as best as you can and keep moving. Once Vara is down, you're done … time to go do something else. Also, at least for now, cycle through your four Javelins each day for the Cataclysm … the first run for each javelin gets you at least the MW level of one of two new toys for each javelin.

Today and yesterday in Anthem: Did a couple of cataclysms (today even with my big mama for the first time - I think correctamundo was there to witness ) I am getting quite familiar with the map and like it One thing is still elusive for me though (in German you would say „schlüpfrige kleine Scheißerchen“ ) — I‘m probably doing it wrong and no one ever comes along (I always do it after Diana) — and no, I won‘t tell you how often I tried already ... deep down I am probably some animal rights activist and let those little slippery Scheißerchen get away on purpose Oh and today for the first time I got the loot limit message on my third conjunction during one freeplay session ... I really wish we could salvage the blues & purples on the go — thankfully it was „only“ a masterwork I couldn’t pick up anymore...

Did the GM3 solo videos for today's legendary mission and that fight on the stairs of the Fortress of Dawn really is no joke. I remember it from before the latest patch and how much of a hard time it gave me. The fight wouldn't be that hard I guess if you didn't have to be inside the green circle so much and every time you leave the progress gets eaten up again fast and you have to start over basically. And enemies just keep on spawning. In fact I'm tempted to do it again just to see what else might be spawning there or for how long this goes on (I suspect it will be infinite spawns but I'm not sure).

This weekend in anthem: Farmed some more crystals ( I now have a nest egg of 50k+ minor and 15+ major crystals, so I'm ready for next week ). Also, I'm saving most of the crystals for the final week of the event, to see what I still lack then, and then go nuts in chest buying Got a nice amount of legendaries, my luck has really picked up now. I almost always get at least one legendary per cata gm2 run, which is a nice feeling to have. My ranger is completely legendary'd up now (except inferno grenade, which I'd really liek to have ), and he just does soooo much damage and has such good survivability, he completely ruined storm for me XD My combo damage is near 200k with acid (and I almost always have acid on), and a couple times I saw damage of 380k for a combo!!!! Dunno how I did it, but it was ridiculous. And at the rate my vanguard ranger does combo's, as well as his survivability, he's the king of wack-a-mole right now. I still like hovering over the field as storm, but his gear (neither eternal squall nor black ice) has good inscriptions, so that doesn't help. I mean, he does fine on gm2. But gm3 is not for him. I also now have learned all big secrets for the events which we now have. So I can support the team I'll learn grabbit once we get kelrik event. I already have my hat by tagging along some other dude I also try to at least do the daily challenges for storm and ranger. Apparently, a message shows if you get a legendary gear from the daily, which is nice! Anyways, I'm ready for next week! come oooooon support chests! Daddy needs his full legendary outfit! And I'm real curious for the ranger support which adds additional grenade charges. And the storm wind wall barrier finally being useful.

Welcome all of you to team Ranger Hulk, smash!! Rampager is totally what ranger needed Also, I love hovering (storm remnant), firing on the enemy from above with my LMG to freeze and cause acid, charge up a god roll avenger's boon with a crit hit for combo 1, and the fly-diving towards the enemy and hulksmashing their head for the final combo. Add a quick fire grenade and sucker-punch quick melee hit for combo 3. That's 700k+ damage in a matter of seconds Interceptor melee javelin? yeah, right

I did a conjunction with a Colossus (and a Storm I can't recall the last one). Importantly though me with Arctic bomb and Rampager and Thiccboi with the fire wall and Earth shaker. Oh my the explosions were wild.

What's really missing is the option to switch inscriptions. Right now I'm using 2 components again on my Ranger that have no other purpose than their inscriptions and I have another one I'd like to use for the same reason. I'd really like to have those inscriptions on the components I actually want to use. But hey, don't dismiss the melee Interceptor. That guy can dish out a lot of damage as well. I'm doing all the legendary missions right now with both Javelins and they are about equal in terms of clear time. And fun as well. For the Cataclysm it depends on the role I play but because of all the damn valkyries and my lack of ult damage on the Interceptor as well as the option so effectively solo Vara and farm the adds I tend to play Ranger more recently when pugging or playing with a team that needs a Ranger more than an Interceptor.

Hulk, smash!! That's 700k+ damage in a matter of seconds Interceptor melee javelin? yeah, right Have you tried the Arctic Tomb / Relentless Pursuit combination? I totally love it. Yeah I have, but I don't have a good (or even legendary, for that matter) relentless pursuit, and I DO have a god roll avenger's boon. So I feel guilty not using that Relentless pursuit is objectively better though. Also, I'm probably weird that way, but I prefer LMG+component frost with a fire grenade to raniers + ice grenade right now (have neither at legendary). Maybe just because it's different from the ranier's thatI've been using as only gun for months now... but still. Nah, I'm sure interceptor can do good things. But, as long as we can't switch inscriptions, yo can't really build anything, and so any merit is based purely on luck or mindnumbing grind. That's not much to be proud of, really. I mean, sometimes I see uber builds of interceptor with +220% ultimate damage. Well, sure. If I could alter my build manually for that, I could do that too! Not much to it.

Highlight of my anthem adventure tonight? Getting buttfrosted by a brute. Damn I thought we left that behind in me3mp 😂. Got a little bored of cataclysm runs so did some freeplay. Had to waste 25 min for the storm gate to open, but at least I was lucky enough to score mostly crystal events.

When I don't have the time to spend between anomaly events, but need to log a few quick ones (like chasing the Brittleback daily challenge), I've taken to hopping into freeplay, checking the countdown timer … if it's short, I do the anomaly, if not, I exit and go to another instance of freeplay.
As much as I hate logging load screen time, it beats chewing up large amounts of time waiting for sequential anomalies to trigger in the same instance of freeplay when I've got other stuff to do.
On the other hand, if I'm not in a time crunch … don't mind doing various world events in between anomalies … just wish the timer was about 10 minutes shorter that what I've typically seen (7 - 10 minutes versus 17 - 20 minutes).
