65k base points... that's quite a bit. Good luck with that :/ Yeah, we talked about it yesterday and there's more points to get for sure, but not sure if we can get that many. Trying to use the other route again, getting more points from Casja, farming more adds. And we might want to check if there really is inconsistency in score points being added. Still... even then, first place has over 21.1 mio so that's even more base points needed. If they make a video after the cataclysm and show the run I'm interested to see how that worked because right now I can't see it without them either having some (legit) super secret way of doing things that grants more points nobody else has figured out yet or having found some major glitch that can be abused for more points. Also had some lemon drops, but none were really useful (except for a softened blows with ultimate inscription, my ranger will like that...). Why are you doing this to me? It's the most important component I'm missing right now for my Ultimate Interceptor and the Ultimate Ranger (that I hardly play, because Combo Ranger is more fun). I mean I have 2 or 3 Softened Blows, but none with ultimate damage inscription. My Interceptor is squishy as hell right now because every armor bonus is gone and I could really use that Softened Blows you got there. Wanna trade it for one with +25% Force and +80% Armor? Or one with double gear damage bonus? Oh wait, we can't... The one weapon I really only wanted all along since I first saw how it worked: a legendary 250% damage grave digger.Congratulations. I have a few of those that are good, but none is really godly unfortunately. I mean as in 400% damage and 150% mag size good lol. Wish I could combine all the ones I have to make one like that. Unfortunately I don't have much use for it right now for one simple reason: it doesn't prime. I use Rainmaker on the Interceptor as well as the Ranger and when I'm not doing Cataclysm right now with the Shard Storm I use a different weapon in the other slot for both - in the case of the Combo Ranger it just has to be Ralner's Blaze because the fire/ice combi is too important. So I really wish they made Grave Digger a primer. It's damage is fire based after all. So let it prime. Same as with Flashfire that is electro-based - why isn't this a primer? Missed opportunity. And I'd rather have them reduce the damage a bit but give it priming capability so I could use this one instead of Ralner's Blaze. But... if you don't use Rainmaker and have a good Grave Digger (especially mag size) it's a good weapon for sure - so I'm glad for you that you got one and on the Storm it's more powerful like you said due to the elemental damage buffs and probably a better choice over the Rainmaker. I hope you'll have fun with it

But all non-priming weapons should be balanced as such that they can compete on the same level as priming weapons.

It seems to be a troubling trend in more and more games these days with people requesting others "watch vids" "to get gud". Screw that. I play to enjoy the "new" experiences, not treat gaming like a job and watch "educational" vids on how to do something. I know it must suck to be held back on certain activities but I'm not sure Cataclysm is considered to be "end game" unless you're in GM3, maybe GM2. I was going into Cataclysm on hard or GM1 as I'm sure most who are new to the activity were. I was going in mainly to check out the new environment, figure out the mechanics, and of course to get loot. What I didn't expect were the off-game messages I got from what I call "elitist jerks" who felt somehow I personally let them down. I don't think that's how this is supposed to work. I agree. I haven't played the cataclysm much. Partly because I've been on holiday for two weeks of it, but also because I already work fulltime and I game for FUN. I don't need homework! The arenas are overwhelmingly confusing if you haven't had time for repeat runs or study. I've had some fun runs where I've been with a patient co-player who has explained to me how it works, but otherwise I feel like a burden and I don't need stress in my leisure time. This sort of thing is precisely what always put me off multiplayer games in the first place. Exactly and is the reason why I'm second guessing my decision to buy/play Destiny 2's newest entry, Shadowkeep, when it comes out. Bungie is going for more team-oriented end-game content, which is a departure from Destiny 1 and 2. I may still get it so I can enjoy the new campaign but it might collect dust after that. I'll come back to Anthem at some point once I've gotten through Gears 5 and Borderlands 3 but I'll stick to whatever story missions I haven't completed and free play.

Ok... we did some testing, tried a couple of things and found out a few more things. But overall we are still pretty confused. Something just doesn't add up...
In our 19.022 million Run I recently uploaded -> we took this route: Magnus-Astrid-Takaro-Kelrik-Diana-Casja-Brita -> the Vara farmer left after Diana and we had less waves overall -> we had 255,652 points after the events / breaking all crystals -> we had only 15:31 minutes left (= slow clearing times) -> we killed all Valkyries at 16x except Casja (at 14x) -> we got all the secrets that we know of
Today we had a run with only 18.275 million final score -> we took the same route: Magnus-Astrid-Takaro-Kelrik-Diana-Casja-Brita -> the Vara farmer left after Diana and we had MORE waves overall -> we had 267,141 points after the events / breaking all crystals -> we had 18:03 minutes left (= faster clearing times) -> we killed all Valkyries at 16x except Brita (at 14x) -> we got all the secrets that we know of -> and for some reason we got a MUCH lower score - even though we had more after the events than before and got more add waves and did the same secrets -> funny side note: we also had our highest score ever I believe after the first event at Magnus and were pretty sure we'd get a really good run...
We also did another run with 19.113 million final score -> we took the "old" route: Magnus-Kelrik-Diana-Takaro-Astrid-Brita-Casja -> the Vara farmer left after Brita (so later than in other runs) -> we had 268,540 points after the events / breaking all crystals -> we had 19.03 minutes left (so faster route and/or faster clearing times) -> we killed all Valkyries at 16x except Brita (at 14x) -> we got all the secrets we know of again -> the interesting thing is: we got almost 13k points more after the events than in our 19.022 run, had more time and got more Vara add waves but the final score difference is marginal
Right now I'm really confused. Maybe there really is quite a problem with inconsistency of the points that are being added from secrets and such as was suggested by the bug report. We could probably test around on easy and such... but I don't know. The event is almost over. But right now I still can't think of a way to get more points other than clearing the events even faster. And don't get me started on those 21 million scores. I'm not accusing anyone but I'd really like to see a recording of such a run to see if it's legit or if there was some abuse of a major glitch involved. If not, it's very impressive and I'd like to see how they did it and which routes they took.

IMO … it's worse than that. What I call the "accounting system" is FUBAR. I think the same things that are giving you inconsistent scores are the same things that have me get a completion banner for a daily challenge up to three times during a mission … or getting the banner, returning to the fort and discovering the daily is not yet complete. Or seeing one shy of complete while in the wild (freeplay, contract, cat, stronghold … whatever) and having it show complete back in the fort.
Similarly, times when damage being inflicted goes to nil … later to recover (the game not properly accounting for the damage inflicted).
Or if you have two pilots … seeing the playing times for the two pilots have no connection to reality.
Or like this week … in one monthly challenge, I have gained an extra daily event on the counter, while in the other monthly challenge, I'm down one weekly event from what I've accomplished.
In the dailies, I took to counting the numbers of crystals broken, crystal enemies/outlaws/scar/dominion killed … to crosscheck and confirm that the numbers the game recorded were not accurate.
Sometimes … at my most cynical … I think we lack a stats page, because if we had one, we would quickly figure out that stuff doesn't work right, when compared to the stats presented.
So I'm not surprised you are getting random results … IMO it's a Frostbite issue … game stats reporting/recording functions are FUBAR. It has to be maddening to the devs … both that they have to put up with this in the FB engine … and that their buddies at DICE have not fixed the farking thing after all this time.
Regardless, it is frustrating, irritating, maddening and pretty piss poor.

Dekibra …
There is a very brief story … while you might be able to complete it later … I consider it unlikely that you will be able to do so.
As far as I can tell, the cat will end at the changeover time for the Tue weekly challenge updates.
Seasonal store … TBD … unless a new source of crystals appears (outside of mining minor crystals on the map) … loot would be very slow to buy.
Hoping that the new weapons, melee weapons, gear and support gear start showing up in normal loot drops …
Epic versions of gear/support gear/melee already have … so looking for MW and lego to start dropping … post cataclysm.
Will they will stay at 66/80 or revert to 61/75 for MW and lego levels? … hoping/expecting they stay at the higher levels.
Assuming all the other "stuff" is complete, the ??? challenges are completed once you *ahem* complete the challenge.

I doubt that we will be able to use seasonal currency out of season. Granted that you can't in games like TCTD or TESO. There will be more seasonal updates though so there most likely will be a future use. I suspect Echoes of reality will remain in some form as stronghold or legendary mission for that story closure among other things. No word on that as of now though.

And are you able to finish all the challenges that were marked with ??? now? now back to enjoying the sun, the sea There are 2 cutscenes, one after finishing the cataclysm, and one once you get back to the fort. Read summarisation spoilers at you own risk. After the cataclysm you destroy vara's spear, and she let's you know that she was tricked by harken as well (he told her to do this). She also calls you a blind puppet (referring to being dupe dby harken). You offer to join forces but she declines and desintegrates.
Back in the fort, harken is gone once you get to the prison and everyone makes assurances that they'll find harken for sure... (smacktalk). Harken did leave a note for the freelancer, which cuts to a cool sene where harken freely wanders around the fort, making his escape in a chill way while sayign somethign along the lines of "I'm sure we'll meet again." Was able to do a couple runs last night. Got me a lemon rejuvinating ammo, which I didn't have yet, so that's nice, I guess. Also had 39 crystals which I spent on gear boxes. Got 5 lemons: 1 interceptor gear (the projection one) with 200% damage 1 arctic tomb with 250% damage (this is my second one, are you fucking kidding me?) 1 colossus gear 'again and again' with +300% charges, which makes it: Again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again, I suppose I kinda wanna try a build with it... 2 steam vents with shit inscriptions.... Really? All I wanted was a decent steam vent... But nooooooooo. All other lemons get good inscriptions, but this one? nope. Anyway, pretty decent haul for one night, I suppose. And if we ever get to move inscriptions around, them arctic tombs are perfect crafting materials Maybe I'll play my last cataclysms tonight, if I can stay awake...

Today I will probably be playing some more Anthem if the team can get together (these huge time zone differences really are a problem). Apparently some of them have tested some things yesterday (I didn't play) and might also know how these really high scores are achievable. I'd still like to achieve a "clean" run above 20 million but we might not be able to. I still take a higher score using some tricks but I might not consider them "clean" in the end depending on how they work exactly and will mainly be doing it to test it and get some more crystals. Because in the end all I really want is some more good things from chests but I don't have much luck with that at all...

These 0,1 seconds matchmaking times are really tiresome. Damn this gaem is ded. Anyway tyrant mine seems to be the rage again. I did s sunken cells with some really confused freelancers. GM2 as well. Brought the unfathomed down to just a sliver and got cocky. He gave me a right hook - could use some help here! Well i figured the team could manage that 1% health on their own. Only problem was that hook brought down another lancer who stood right next to me. And the other two may already have been down alternatively he got them with the left. So no more fiddling second time around. At the victory screen I noticed that one of them was below level 30 as well. Well stronger together!

Late night in anthem was my officially last cataclysms. I had 2 very enjoyable gm2 runs and one okay run. 1) tried a new build with my colossus, but wasn't that much of a fan. Tried swapping out solvent green for again and again. It was something different for a change, but the combo damage decrease is massive. And I couldn't get to grips with the playstyle. The run itself was real good though. People are finally starting to know what to do in the cataclysm. We banked 9m+ points. Also got a lemon vassa's arc, but wasn't significantly betetr than what I had. 2) Another storm run. Also a 9m+ point run. Also got 4 lemons. Nothing special though. A gunslinger's mark with slightly better inscriptions but nothing else. 3) My last run I tried interceptor. Man, it was so readily apparrant how inty lags behind the others (and I'm not use to the ultimate play...). So it was more an excercise in gameplay frustration because I sucked, more than anything else got a lemon but nothing useful. The run itself was also less fruitful (7m+ crystals, which was weird because we did do all the big and small secrets... but ah well). After that, it was my last chest opening series! I had 2 choices: either try for god roll rainmaker or steam vent. And since I'm ever the storm fan, steam vent it was. I had crystals for 44 gear chests. The rng gods weren't... unkind... but they laughed at me as well. I got me: - a lemon venom storm (didn't have that one yet, so that was a pleasant surprise at the end!), no good inscriptions though. - an arctic tomb with 200% gear charges (finally, after 2 god roll damage ones >_<) - 2 eternal squalls: one with 200% gear charges and one with 225% damage (not bad, I suppose, but could have been better) - 2 steam vents, both useless. So the haul wasn't bad at all, for a last day. Pretty pleased with it! But I am going to rage for a slight bit though. I made a clip on xbox with all my steam vent drops from the cataclysm. 9 in total (9!!!), NONE OF THEM HAVE EVEN EVER SO SLIGHTLY MEANINGFUL DAMAGE!! Not only that, even the best masterwork I got was 100% or something... I don't know how grindy bioware wants their game, but after 9 SV drops, I'd have expected at least one decent one... But ah well, I'd given up hope quite a while back, so at least my expectations were low, and lo and behold, even then I was let down. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with the cataclysm haul in total. Got lots of stuff I'll be able to salavage if we ever get to do that >_> Speaking of... Since bioware still hasn't released any sort of info, the worst will probably come to pass. The cataclysm will simply dissapear and the game will revert back to it's june state. Which is comatose. They just keep doing it to themselves... They make it so easy to hate on them, it's almost as if they're masochistic. Anyway, at least I'll have time for other games now.

I'm going to miss Cataclysm, despite the shortcomings. Once I could go GM3 (only for some javelins, and often hit-and-miss), it became both engaging and - even more - rewarding. I do wish they could have made the playthroughs a bit more varying, e.g. by not having all events available each time and then randomize which ones' you'd get, or maybe just start in different locations. DAI-MP upped replayability a lot with just these simple quirks.

First day post-cat, running with #1 pilot's Colossus … 'cause it's missing two javelin-specific lego components.
Noted the grabbits, saurians and tesilars … which have been absent during the cat (probably converted them to elementals).
First lego contract … one of the missing lego components drops.
Second random stronghold … final missing lego component drops.
Now #1 pilot's lancers lack one universal lego component, one of the older lego weapons*, plus one grenade launcher.
Still a ways to go on gear … but that was a nice set of drops.
If this keeps up, I'll be switching back to my #2 pilot sooner than I thought. Almost makes me forget hitting max loot in the cat and having to leave legos behind.
Almost.
*Picked up the lego weapon on a random (story) mission.

Well, I wanted to see last night how anthem looked now, so I hopped on, actually eager to trysomething different finally than the cataclysm.
I did do one more run of the cataclysm, just to see what it looked like now. It's basically the 3 events from the first week of the cataclysm (magnus, britaheim, casja). It's okay as content to leave in, since they're easy to farm for chests if you want. And now the cataclym is up to par with strongholds. But running the cataclysm is no longer worth it for the crystals, since for your time you get very few crystals to spend in the store (they're bringin it back, apparently). I still believe they need to make the cataclysm permanently available, without crystals and without puzzles, just the killing. And every mission start, you get 3 random events which are spawned. That way, it's retainable endgame content and akin to a stronghold. That wouldn't be THAT hard to do...
Anyway, after that, I tried some other storngholds (quickplay join). First stronghold, I loaded up and there was a weird "team defeated" message, and I had to wait 2 minutes before I could actually join. The game itself was refreshing to d something different again though. Then durign the scelos fight --> server disconnect, back to fort tarsis... Okay... so I try another quickplay stronghold, all is fine and dandy. Then during the Tyrant fight --> server disconnect, back to fort tarsis... Goddamnit! Allright, just thought I'd call it a night, was tired anyway. I'll just fiddle around in my forge to try some buil-... --> server disconnect, back to fort tarsis... I'M ALREADY IN FORT TARSIS WHAT DO YOU WANT!!??!?
Well, at least bioware made it easy on me to quit this game for now. Think I'll go enjoy thronebreaker for a bit. I'm in the mood for some offline single player for now. Need to do monster hunter iceborne as well, but not feeling it at, burnt out on anthem.
See you all online again when they fix their stability and something new and decent is on. Stong alone! Stronger togeth-... server disconnect

You shouldn't be running on a potato. Your body shouldn't be running on a potato, but there it is (though - as demonstrated by your posts - logical though does seem like a bit too much for you).
