Today I decided to give the Colossus a try because I got several legendaries for him while playing the Interceptor. Jeez, this dude is so overpowered it's not even funny. I didn't have any gear (the level 1 default stuff I guess) and just put the legendary components on him and 2 weapons (mainly for stats) and then joined a stronghold with the expectation to get carried for once. Instead I ended up doing most of the work and basically just one-shot or better yet one-hit most enemies with the melee. Wish I had that much damage output on the Interceptor with a single melee attack. Also: how do people actually die as Colossus? You can literally just stand there and tank everything with some additional +% armor. I felt like I was cheating tbh. Can't imagine what a fully equipped one must feel like, can probably solo a GM3 stronghold... It's a Hulk smash bonanza, especially with the 200% combo component and the AOE freezing component (you give up the 35% heal component, but jump-smash combos feel so good at GM3 even). Very addicting gameplay to be honest unless you get motion sick jumping up and down all the time. And you can die, but it takes a lot more compared to what you are used to as Interceptor. No Dodge after all. Enemies throwing fire at you? As Interceptor you are toast, but as Colossus you just receive 10% damage on your shield and smash on. Mine died for the first time in ages. Brute + valkyrie chain freezing me while the rest of the camp shot me.

Done with the Resolve challenge, nothing after so far. But the old lady and the bard had a conversation and she said "Our tax DOLLARS at work". Dollars you say, hmm? What is Bastion's currency anyway?

Got a masterwork version of the gear that buffs melee and eletrical damage and also a legendary assault rifle that primes enemies with fire, now with this one and the thunderbolt(MR) i can deal with most enemies in freeplay GM2, I wasn't overpowering all of them but with some care i was able to finish a ~45min session without dying once.
By the way aren't there any MW version of the bulwark shield for the ranger? Because the epic is bad when trying to hold enemy fire on strongholds.

A guess ... a rectal-linear extraction if you will … the next update will add MW and Legendary support gear. But that's more wish than anything.
Today, finally got decent upgrades to Storm gear … makes quite a difference in strongholds. Still missing the upgraded synergy component.
The component that restores health (OK, armor) to the Interceptor, upon a melee kill … didn't know I had it, but my inventory was "too high" … went to the vault and checked my "stuff" … low and behold, something new was lurking in my Interceptor's components.
When you lose connection and rejoin a game … or respawn … you still get the loot from prior, but it doesn't seem to show up in the victory loot display … but go to the individual javelin's inventory … and it's there. I'm pretty sure a game in progress rejoin (after a CTD) is where the new Interceptor component sneaked in. Frankly, that's a nice feature.

Trying to revive someone in a open are was pretty much impossible because the shield wasn't able to hold long enough for the animation to complete if anything stronger than the dominion mobs attack you. It was even worse during the furies area since their red fireballs breaks the shield and kills you at the same time.

Update: venomous blaze test, grandmaster 2, freeplay, test subject arnichasaur (or whatever the big crab is called).
Test 1: legendary VB, +15% damage Normal gear use: 7.2k damage Gear use after using right gear: 10.7k
Test 1: masterworkVB, + 175% damage Normal gear use: 8.6k damage Gear use after using right gear: 11.1k damage
So in conclusion, currently, the maaterwork is better, BUT by boosting your left skill further with multipliers, the difference becomes less (which makes sense as it has a higher base damage and the +175 would mean less).

Finally got legendary Raneri's Charge and been playing with that instead of the Acid Bomb now. Rolls aren't very good but not too bad either. Dropped another Viper's Bite as well with 225% damage - I so wish I could combine it with my other one that has +200% charge. Would be so great if the inscriptions were mods that we could just switch out.

I know this is sort of off-topic, but I wasn't sure where else to post it, so here goes:
This thread is to me, the perfect illustration of how different Anthem is to the Bioware games of old, specifically Dragon Age and Mass Effect. In the "Today in..." threads dedicated to those games, you would find people talking about making different story-decisions in quests, developing their characters relationship with different companions or characters.
Here, in this thread, you almost exclusively have people talking about getting this or that loot-drop. I'm not saying this is either better or worse, just that it is - to me - fundamentally different.

I know there's speculation going on about the Monument and whether whatever happens around it means something or was there from the start... well, I've heard it singing, I've seen it producing lightning for a while - but I don't think I've ever seen clouds gathering on top and steam coming from its base.

Also anyone notice how lightning always seem to try and get you? Stand in a spot for a few seconds and I swear it will strike that spot.

Well Javelins are pretty much a 2.5m metal pole.
Anyway, got another legendary today but it was for the storm...

Has anything else found a door blocking the entrance to the Core dungeon? Earlier it had a relic with echos, the relic disappeared and the door remained, and it was still telling me to collect echos. It was odd.
the Core is the dungeon on the ledge just northwest of the Monument.
