Lol what are you smoking? This latest patch is widely viewed as a regression. Everything they change breaks something else even harder. It's been over a month and we haven't seen material improvements. smouthsorry for the various spelling errors I'm smouthsorry too lol.

Game definitely has some quality issues, no doubt about it. Those issues (listing them in my head right now, they are astonishingly numerous) however haven't stopped me from mostly enjoying the game.

And for how long have you been playing? For me the fun ended when the endgame started. Gear in this game is pretty much broken, so there is no point in grinding to get specific weapons/items because they don't work as intended (or at all), they will keep messing with it so whatever gear/build you have might become obsolete after next patch etc. Javelins are fun, but the content we have for now is way too scarce and repetitive not to become boring fast.

Well like him, i have numerous complaints about the end game. To me it's current state is simply unacceptable. However, that minute to minute gameplay is so much fun for me, I keep coming back. A few times a week, for a few hours at a time. If for no other reason, to do the Dailies, Weeklies etc and just stockpile on Coins and Embers for when the game actually enters a state where I can go back to playing on a more dedicated basis.

I personally like how it turned out, more on "selfish side". Best case scenario, really. Seems to have sold reasonably well, so it's not enough for EA to pull a plug on Bioware. But it has no long staying power at this point, and Respawn is doing much better job at online/GaaS, for them. If Bloodlines and Outer worlds end up being succesfull, we could see more upcoming hub based/medium sized rpgs in future, that Bioware was leading at.

Game feels pretty solid too me right now...MAGA...especially compared to how it felt on the day 1 release. Leveling and progression feels good until you get your javelin masterworked.
While not giving Bioware a free pass for the state of the game at its launch, they have made considerable progress...MAGA....since it released a month ago which too me feels like they really do care about Anthem and want to see it succeed.
Anthems biggest problem for the group I'm running with which happens to be the same people I've been raiding with for the last 4 years in Destiny, is its progression from GM1 into GM2 and 3. Most loot and materials become worthless once you have a masterworked javelin. Anthems current endgame is running the 3 same strongholds that feel like Destiny's strikes and other than time, feel no more rewarding than running them on GM1. Actually, my group has had better luck running GM1 for legendaries come to think of it.

Honestly I never noticed a difference. Maybe it just never was an issue for me. Definitely was an issue for me. Waiting for the salvage to trigger was annoying as hell, especially for a backpack full of crap recovered equipment. Glad they sped it up. I just do not understand why they don't just add some "salvage all [white/green/blue/purple] items" buttons to the post mission inventory screen.
Seems like the easiest thing ever and would apparently be a huge QoL improvement for a lot of players.

Been playing since the game's release. Reached the endgame maybe 2 weeks ago, and I play between 1-3 hours a day. This is about how I used to play Destiny. Most sessions I feel like I was entertained enough. The recent patch seems to have beefed up the story in contracts so that was welcome.

Or a "mark as junk" a la DAI and then make use of the junk all junk function. My issue is/was that when you get a crapton of items holding the related button for x amount of time just git a little grindy. Especially pre update when I could read the details 2+x over before it went to junk/salvage

The problem seems to be, that they aren't sure how to actually do that. It kinda feels like they just didn't know what to do after they figured out the flying and the combat loop. I mean I honestly cannot comprehend the thought process that went into this end game loot/inscription system. The only rational I can come up for it is "Hey! It's all totally random! This will keep players busy for ages trying to get something good! Brilliant!"

I played SWTOR somewhat, but i can safely say that was the one Bioware game I just didn't keep up with or kept track of. It was never a game I could ever maintain interest in despite the strong narrative, and to this day I've no idea why that is. I tried so damn hard to love that game. On paper it was everything I could have ever wanted from it. I think I went back about 4 times trying to get into it. I would hate to pin all of Anthems problems at one guys feet. After all Anthem was the "all hands on deck" game for Bioware...but from everything all the old time SWTOR fans keep saying...I'm starting to wonder... To quote bladefist from the "Today in Anthem" thread (since idk how to post quotes from other threads) "I've never played a game so obsessed with giving me garbage". This latest patch is the worst reward experience for me yet. Half my loot drops from mobs and chests are freakings Embers, and the long awaited Elysium Chests give me nothing but damn crafting materials! It's almost like Bioware has forgotten that games are suppose to provide compelling rewards.

After all Anthem was the "all hands on deck" game for Bioware...but from everything all the old time SWTOR fans keep saying...I'm starting to wonder.. This is the reason why I am so often negative to Bioware's responses and critical to their fuckups in Anthem. Because I have seen and experienced it for years in SWTOR and it never got better. People that never played SWTOR or didn't follow the game closely since 2016 probably think my negative attitude is "because EA, or ME3 endings or MEA, etc.". No! It's because it's literally the same lies, PR bullshit, lack of content, placebo patches, broken mechanics and crap RNG loot that I had to suffer for years in SWTOR. It might be a new game for many and nonSWTOR players are willing to give BW a pass, because they are "learning". But to me it's like SWTOR 2 and it's the same crap as it was before. Some staunch defenders of the game started being critical in less than a month. Well, I am ahead of you by 3 years, still waiting for BW to "learn" how to stop screwing up in loot based games. And you can imagine how jaded I am by this point when I see Road maps that are full of nothing and their schedule is not even kept or when someone at Bioware starts to talk about how everything will be fine if we wait just a little bit more, because they "look into it" and are "hard at work"... Meanwhile Vanguard/Powertech in SWTOR is still shit and not fixed since 2014 or so...But let's wait a bit more!

Anyone on ps4 having issues post current patch to bring up the menu when pressing the options button? I can't get it to work 90% of the time. Have checked with multiple controllers but no bueno. Have to like double tap it then it appears and instantly disappears then press it a few times randomly til it comes up.

I know half of the menus don't even load for me anymore. The News Feed is totally blank, the Player banners are blank, the Exbedition Screen is blank half the time and gets stuck. Honestly for me, the game as a whole is more broken now than it's ever been.

Another example of a bug performing better than biower's intended material. Something something cost of transparency.

LOL,
And I posted waaaay waaay back that Bio better avoid content issues because players would go through the game in a month. Also used other words including boring.
Honestly, I'm sure the game designer's goals looked good at the time. Perhaps they still are. However, the implementation is somewhat hmmm.... lacking?

Yes, a self evident design goal, one would think. .... must have slipped through the cracks.
