Over the past week or so I have made a series of antagonistic posts that some have interpreted as trollish. That was never my intention. I've had some lingering mental health issues that have been exacerbated by real life stressors out of my control. The little things that once nagged me now have become a vendetta to me. I used to just make a disgusted noise in the manner of Cassandra, roll my eyes and move on when I saw something I didn't like now I feel the need to comment on it. I do not dislike players with different taste than I have. I admit my taste is very particular. I am mostly attracted to pretty boys with long hair so that reflects in my game play. It's a preference, not a rule per say. I actually do not like any of the playable race(s) physiques 100% to be perfectly honest here. I find the Elves to look entirely too frail and their heads to be disproportionate to the rest of their bodies. What I do like is to be able to make my idea of a beautiful face on an Elven Inquisitor. I do the same with Human, Dwarven or Qunari Inquisitors. I do not like how the developers gave the female Cadash(es) rocket-launcher tits. I do not like how the developers gave the male Lavellan(s) look like they are barely out of their adolescence. I do not like how the Circle Mage male Trevelyan(s) look jacked as if they have spent a dozen years training as a Templar Warrior but I still continue the play the game and make my own head-canons. Also, for everyone who doubts I can make an attractive male Qunari. I was able to once make a male Adaar to my aesthetic preferences (Murat). I was however going for the DA2 / Arishok look with a side of Geralt of Rivia. While creating him I realized why I wasn't really happy with the general design for Qunari in DAI. The Qunari in DAO and DA2 looked amazing, fantastical, beautiful yet powerful. Heck, I would have romanced the Arishok. Then when DAI came around I saw the Iron Bull and wondered how a Qunari ended up with a generally human looking head. As far as Cadash goes, I'd totally romance Dorian with a male dwarf who is a jerk like this. I've yet to find sliders to approximate a Dwarf like this. I'd romance him. Or if I can remake this Cadash I'd totally do a playthrough with him and Dorian. I actually do not find muscular bodies unattractive. The infamous Jerk is one of the most attractive male dwarves I have ever seen. His larger than life personality makes him even more attractive.

Ehhh... this isn't worth a public announcement. Just PM the people who actually got upset.

It's a preference, not a rule per say. Well, I haven't read the posts you're referring to, but I can tell you wouldn't be attracted to me (big and muscular, in equal measure) More to the point, it takes a special kind of integrity and bravery to be so forthright, one I can respect. Also, I can relate to your situation, and the best thing I can say is that while it may all be in your head, it's still real and has to be considered, but it's entirely possible for you to see it for what it is, to tell it that YOU are in command, not the surrounding circumstances. Hopefully this helps, or at least gives you something to consider.

Well... Dragon Age isn't a beauty contest. Not everyone has your peculiar beauty standards. So live and let live, I guess? No need to go offending other people's characters. Being nice or not saying anything is totally free Depression and mental illness suck. I know all about it, and I'm sure other people here do as well. I wish you all the best with that.

I haven't seen your other posts, but I don't think you should apoligise to us unless you were rude or something. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions. I, for one, absolutely despise how elves look like in DAI, male elves especially.

They don't have noodle arms and the head's size isn't so disproportionate to the body.

If you want to get better at moderating yourself when under stress then that's a perfectly reasonable and useful thing to start paying more attention to. And apologizing for things you regret is a good way to externalize that process.
That said, don't go around beating yourself up over anything you said in here. People are tougher than you think, and if you struggle with stress or depression or anxiety then you need to prioritize emotional baggage to hold onto pretty ruthlessly. An online debate about video games turned toxic is definitely not worth dragging around even under normal circumstances.
Assume they've forgotten pretty much everything you said. They probably have. And if they haven't then it's because they have their own lessons to learn about taking a punch and rolling with it. Focus on getting and keeping your real life in order instead.
