ie DA FAQ is above general discussion, ME future is above general discussion.
Logical reason to change it: the general sections get the most traffic so it eases navigation.
Subjective reason to change it: I don't liiike it.

Fredward, LogicGunnI understand that the newer boards have filtered to the top, things are sort of chronological in the IP specific areas, but I totally understand that it would make sense (for consistency in any case) to have the 'general' discussion always be the first entry - the question is, one would that be for each each category? Let's talk it out here. Anthem is easy - there aren't multiple games, and there's just the one general thread. Anthem: Anthem General DiscussionThat makes the most sense for Anthem, but Dragon age... I'm not sure which one(s) we're talking about as THE 'general' discussion topic. DA4 is getting a fair amount of traffic, but the DAI lore/general board has a lot more posts and threads. Dragon Age:1. Dragon Age 42. Dragon Age Inquisition Quests, Lore and General Discussion Just like DA, the Mass Effect category has the huge Andromeda board, is that the one or it the ME-future one? I actually spend the most time in the multiplayer area, so I'm not a good judge. 1. Future Mass Effect2. Mass Effect Andromeda Quests, Lore and General DiscussionAs a side note, and partially related, if you have a favorite thread/board that you like to visit, there's also (now) the option of making a personal favorite link to just that area - could save a few clicks and some scrolling: bsn.boards.net/thread/17066/navbar-personal-favoriteHopefully this discussion will get some more feedback, then we can figure out collectively the best order before shuffling the boards around.

I mean with like ME there is a) not any hard news about the future of Mass Effect and the general discussion is way, way, way more popular in terms of posts/threads and I think traffic though obviously I'm basing this entirely off (currently viewing) that happens to coincide with when I visit. With DA both of those would be preferable to FAQ but with DA we DO have tangible news that DA4 is an actual thing being worked on so it's more relevant in that way. I think confirmed + new - not actually here yet still = primacy but I'm biased since it's the one I visit the most. Maybe factor in popularity/how regularly new discussions/content get posted? So basically: 1. Future ME: new - not confirmed - not actually here yet + not competing with comparative subforum (DA4) + substantially less popular than MEA gd = shouldn't be on top. 2. DA not entirely sure between DAI gd and DA4, would prefer DA4 on top on account of maff but both/either better than DA FAQ I think what defines what gets at top should probably be newness and popularity with a preference for newness but with the caveat that the newness is rooted in actual news and is not entirely speculative. Confirmed newness > popularity cuz someone could probably draw a nice line graph about how confirmed newness will always rise in popularity (as a release date nears/more tangible news spills) whereas something that is currently popular, even more popular cuz it's rooted in something that actually exists as a playable thing (ie Inquisition gd) will remain static in terms of traffic and maybe decline a bit as interest in the new thing increases. But. Thanks for pointing out the favorites thing it saves me from having to think about forum layout even though I decided to then do that anyway.
