After the somewhat controversial demo(beta), there was some outcry from the community about the state of the game this close to launch. The replies from the developers were heavily in the "The Launch Version is Fixed" vein, stating (factually) that the demo was built off of a December build and there were many fixes and improvements in the final build that didn't make the demo.
I thought it would be good to have a thread ready to go to mark those changes and improvements, as well as things the devs said would be fixed for the final build but perhaps missed the mark. The start we could list some of the things they said would be fixed and rank them as fixed or not.

Game performance will be improved. [✔] 14. Players won't be able to hold onto echos indefinitely. 15. Screen size an be adjusted. 16. The Launch Bay will be the new social hub. [✔] 17. All Cosmetics are earnable through in-game currency. [✔] 18. Enemies shouldn't evaporate anymore (pop in/out). 19. Factions to work for.
Additional promises not in Polygon article: 20. KB+M controls for flight and "swimming" respond correctly. [✔] 21. Audio bugs/issues and total audio dropout resolved [x]
Any additional examples of things the devs said would be fixed from the demo to the final build I can try to add here, or can be discussed in the comments below.

Still shocked by how broken the build they released to the early crowd was. Perhaps this "demo" will be an actual demo; if they follow through on that list it's a good start.

Aiming Raw Mouse Input Fixed -We found and fixed a bug that caused the symptom of negative acceleration Flight and Swimming
Increase Available Range for Mouse Sensitivity Options -Flight and swim sensitivity sliders now allow for more than double the range it offered before. This allows different mouse DPI settings (specifically extremely high or low) to better fit into our in-game swim/flight sensitivity settings. PC Flight Box is now a Circle -PC Flight Cursor is now constrained by a circle boundary instead of a box. This allows better turn/speed management as the distance away from center dot (which dictates the speed of your turn) is always the same maximum amount in any direction. Added Auto-Centering for PC Flight -Added auto-centering behavior on swimming and flying by default for PC. When mouse input stops (after a delay) the crosshair will automatically return to center. Resolved bug with Sprint/Fly on Button Press -We’ve resolve a jittering/FX spam issue bug that players would receive when playing with hold-to-fly(rather than toggle) option for flight. Raw Mouse Input is now achievable in PC Flight -By setting Flight/Swim Response and Precision settings sliders to 0% you can now achieve raw mouse input. Default Flight and Swim Sensitivity Settings Updated -All default PC flight and swim sensitivity settings are now tuned to 1200 DPI instead of 1800 DPI. -Default flight and swim sensitivity changed from 50% and 35% respectively, to both being 40%. --This is the same as having both set to 100% with our previous sensitivity tuning, and since swimming was lower sensitivity than flight it’s seen an even bigger boost in responsiveness at default settings. Yup! I thought it would be good to show what's promised at launch, for people who are worried about the launch state of the game, and then compare players' experience to verify!

No crashes at all, no kick from the server more stable FPS on ultra even if my PC is still not up there for running. The only noticeable thing i can point is that the loading time if you haven't an SSD can be quite long.

Well, walking around Fort Tarsis isn't any faster than in the public demo I think. It seemed quite a bit faster in the livestream yesterday (although perhaps still not fast enough). Is there some button/toggle to engage "sprint" mode?
Unfortunately having the walk be 200-300% faster than it was originally intended might cause some mis-timing of incidental background conversation. In the open demo I was losing the tail end of conversations because I breezed (slowly) past them. If we can go faster still I guess I will have to stop if I want to eavesdrop.

Found the headphones setting. So, is it me or is it like a totally different game? I mean it runs so damn smooth. It's AAA all the way. Absolutely blown away. The controls are slicker the animations are tighter, the graphics look better or more detailed. The first mission, story, acting, atmosphere, amazing. All I can say is wow.

Sound bug is a Frostbite issue. In other Frostbite-driven BioWare games … DAI and MEA … it almost never hits in SP.
I didn't play DAIMP, so I have no personal experience, but I've played a lot of MEAMP and the sound bug is alive and well there.
So it was, for mainly SP games, never a priority to fix. But Anthem is not SP (except in Ft Tarsis), it's a MP game.
Now, supposedly, they are working on the fix, hoping to have it ready for the day 1 patch on 22 Feb.
Personally, I'm hoping that the sound bug patch can also be applied to MEAMP … that would be nice.
I'm hoping that Anthem will be interesting enough, to bridge my gaming to the next DA … and eventually ME.
We'll see.
