I tested the "the game auto picks up MW and above loot for you" hypothesis and am happy to report a BIG FAT MYTH BUSTED. I don't have a full video of my run so there's a bit of trust involved here, though if someone insists that you won't believe me without a complete video I guess I could do one. Tyrant Mines, GM1. One masterwork dropped from an enemy in the wild, during the first Echoes section. I saw it and elected not to pick it up. No MWs from either of the first two chests, I verified my both watching the loot explosion as well as my loot feed after. One MW did pop out of the boss, I'm still unclear if this is meant to be the "guaranteed" MW or if that is auto added still. So there's a possibility of three here- 1 from the mob drop, 1 from the boss, 1 from auto add. End of mission rewards: i.imgur.com/BM9WQbb.pngJust the one from the boss. So that system is fucked. ETA: I also checked my Forge after the mission just in case it even bypassed the decryption screen. It did not, the only items marked new are epics plus the one MW I got. Tonight I did a little experiment of my own. Ten attempts (spaced out a bit by a minute each) to get a Quickplay GM1 mission. Ten bugged missions I had to quit. Working as intended?

Had a disconnect at the end of a GM1 Scar Stronghold run, went into freeplay, quit that and got the loot. So it can work. But obviously "can" is not good enough.

My biggest beefs.
1) Going in Free Play and 90% of the time being dropped into a glitched session in which the other three players are running around like buffoons wondering why the next part of the mission hasn't started. Sad.
2) The RNG god is not truly random. It has a bug or is not a true random generator. Proof. The loot pool is 27 weapons, and the gear and components for each javelin - about 20 each for a total pool of masterworks for somewhere around 107 Masterworks.
I have gotten 28 Masterwork drops so far. So explain this for my drops: 5 x Thunderbolt of Yvenia, 5 x Elemental Rage, 1 x Ralner's Blaze, 4 x Artinia's Gambit, 4 x Avenging Herald, 2 x Unending Battle, 4 x Pappa Pump and 2 x Wyvern Blitz.
Seriously, no one can look at that and claim it is completely random. Clumping does appear in true random systems but WOW, 4 or more for Thunderbolt of Yvenia/Elemental Rage/Artinia's Gambit/Avenging Herald/Poppa Pump in 28 so called random picks. That outcome is a serious case of random number bias.
I can accept a lot of bug/bad design in a game without ranting and raving to strangers on a forum but for a loot shooter with stingy drops, it is absolutely soul crushing to get excited about a masterwork drop to have your hopes and dreams crushed by yet another fourth or fifth drop of a weapon you already four or five others of - the same fricking 5 weapons over and over out of a loot pool of 107 Masterworks. God must hate me...
Anyone else noticed what I am experiencing?

WELLLLLLLL in the RNG's defense the MW drops are categorized by type. Stronghold bosses drop Q and E abilities. Legendary Contracts drop Components. Weapons come from random enemy drops. You might be able to get any drop from Freeplay chests, I'm not sure. But it's definitely targeted for the above categories, so when you're looking at what you get you need to keep the drop tables separate.

I thought about playing it through the weekend, maybe fill out the more useless masterworks I have with better rolls. But then I realized how fucking boring this game is right now. Jesus christ. I thought about maybe clearing some weapon/gear challenges in freeplay, do a bunch of events, but it's fucking BORING. You don't know where events are until you stumble on them, leading to flying around aimlessly forever. Could do some strongholds, eh? Well, one has a broken boss that takes a half hour, one is just a slog with another bullet sponge boss, and the only one worth running I've run what feels like 50 fucking times already.
Well, there's contracts once a day, eh? No, I'll kill myself if I have to do any more of those. Go here, pick up doodads. Kill a wave of enemies. Go somewhere else, repeat. All for one masterwork at the end which probably won't be an upgrade at all.
Fuck me this is the most boring fucking game ever. It boggles my goddamn mind.

That's possible events, they may or may not spawn when you fly over them. Yesterday I flew from Eastern Reach, through Great Falls Canyon all the way up to the Great Eddian before a new event popped up on my screen. Fucking clown shoes, this system.

Yeah, I almost had an emotional reaction when I followed a mission waypoint into a building, re-equipped a close range weapon, and there were no loading screens at all.

Hello desktop my old friend, I´ve come to visit you again... My biggest gripe with this game right now. Crashes out of nowhere, with no indication that one is coming. Worse, 0 errormessages. I honestly don´t know why the game crashes. Am I running out of resources ( unlikely as it also happens when I turn the games quality down to mashed potato)? Is it a driver issue ( up to date doe )? Is it hardware ( doubtful, as BFV runs fine for the most part )? Meh. Takes the fun out of the game.
