Do you know if Luck on a weapon still works if weapon with Luck is holstered?

This game has been fun to watch in the same way Fallout 76 has been fun to watch. I don't expect anything, but maybe I'll be surprised.

I really feel like Stronghold bosses need unique loot drops. You've gotta address everyone just running Tyrant Mine because it's easier. Don't get me wrong, I love Tyrant Mine. I ended up pre-ordering because of Tyrant Mine. But holy cow it's a problem trying to do the other 2. The other 2 are way harder, and because you always get the same damn loot no matter what you do, there is literally no reason for anyone to run those. This is only going to contribute to faster playerbase burn out. Look, I understand making games is hard ya know? But honestly, it was kinda hard to accept only having 3 Strongholds at launch. But now? it feels like theres only 1 half the time. If Bosses had unique loot tables, with special unique guns and equipment, this would give people all the motivation they need to run other Strongholds. I'm not sure about boss specific loot. I fully understand the need for incentive more than bragging rights to run other strongholds than Tyrant mine but specific loot isn't all without problems. It is clear that this is something that is done in many mmos and like games but the system have also failed in these type of games. Like running Lexington evcent center ad infinitum for Larae Barrets vest. Could be that you are guaranteed some components out of a specific set of course? If for a special weapon should Temple of scar and Heart of Rage be on the same power level for the reward? Why then bother with HoR at all again? I think should work with the chance of MW and LEG drops. Still a Javelin specific Monitor related unique LEG or MW drop from the HoR boss would be cool. Don't forget to look for "Support Luck" upgrade bonus stats on gear and weapons to help increase chances for more quality colored gem drops. Not sure if "Supply Drop Rate" increases amount of gems dropped or just stuff like hearts and ammo. Hearts and ammo as I understand it.

Now I shall briefly touch on a few minor complaints...aka mostly unimportant things
Hm, I have to ask Bioware, where the heck are my Reputation material unlocks for Cosmectics? You showed me I would get new materials to select for my Javelins, but even after getting those rep tiers I don't have them? Is this just a problem on my end? I literally see no one mentioning this at all.
Also Bioware, why is only the default helmet animated to open and close? I'm not saying eery helmet needs to open, but you guys need more than 1 animated helmet per class. I wanted to wear my Legion of Dawn armor sooo bad during the Campaign missions, but the freakin helmets don't open!
I want to see my characters face, somewhere. Be it in the forge, in mirrors around Tarsis, something.
The characters walking animation and physics is horrific. it's like their walking around on ice with skates unless I'm just sprinting around.

I did got some new materials for javelins via challenges but i confess i didn't check to see if all of them were unlocked. Or are you talking about all those things they showed prior to the game release? Because some of those cosmetics, i think, aren't in the game yet.

I mean the materials you get from the reputation levels, like Brass, Copper, Silver, Gold, Titanium etc. Also yes, between Hair and Helmets...idk why, but Bioware just seems to think a character head is the Rubix Cube lol.

Not sure if "Supply Drop Rate" increases amount of gems dropped or just stuff like hearts and ammo. Hearts and ammo as I understand it. Yes, the BioDev in that reddit thread seemed to have confirmed this. Was going to post this finding to share here but lost track of it, thanks for the reminder, correctamundo. Forget where (think the recent patch notes topic), but it was also confirmed that holstered weapons don't give the bonus stats anymore. So no point carrying an extra weapon solely for luck stat.

I am playing on a Gigabyte X15 Aero GTX 1070, Intel 8th SSd 512/DDR4 1G. Have had Zero problems. Load times are acceptable (300mbs WIFI) and only dropped out of Server 2x in last 2 days. Waited to play until this week due to bugs always causing problems at launch. I have to agree with everything Therevanchist wrote. It will be interesting to see where Bioware takes this longterm. I like the RPG elements, love the combat and the stunning graphics. They really fixed the animation stuff since the Andromeda days. There is so much to discover that I have to tear myself away from the Freeplay to do some missions. Interesting Lore as well. ... I like playing Solo but the matches are tons of fun and really demonstrate what teamwork can accomplish.

Bioware, listen to me. I know at least someone over there might see this, because I got it on good authority that several of you lurk around here.
Your starting to make me look like a fool Bioware. I keep raving about this game to friends and co-workers. I keep telling people how much fun this game is despite the absolute avalanche of crap this game is getting. The biggest thing the community is asking for is loot. REASONABLE loot. We are all desperate for this one thing that will help us - your biggest supporters - hang in there playing this game. And all we get in return is radio silence. Obviously, the problem has shown itself to be something you can fix very quickly. Hell, you've fixed the problem by accident twice now. The argument of the economy taking months to flesh out and get the right feel is unacceptable. We've experienced economy balance now, we know what it feels like when the loot drops are good. Most importantly, we know what it feels like when playing this game feels good. Don't distract us. Right now I don't care about you guys filming new scenes for a story mode. I don't care about the level 1 default rifles being glitched and you convincing us that it's a bug not a feature. Right now I care about not having this games entire player base abandon ship once Division 2 comes out. In the next few months? Most of the hardcore players will be gone because Loot is just unacceptable.
There's someone in the room saying that improving loot will lead to people being geared faster and then they'll leave. Its short sighted but I wouldn't be surprised if there are some passionate arguments going on at bioware. This is honestly the only reason I can think of, that would prevent them from making this VERY popular accidental change permanent. The glowing praise the game gets every time this "accident" happens should be all the proof they need to see. Bioware even IF people gear up and leave, they would at least be leaving for a positive reason, and be willing to return when new content drops. Right now people are leaving for bad reasons, reasons that make people a lot less willing to come back. People are largely willing to accept minor bugs here and there, and understand that content will come over time. However the end game loop of farming loot is in such a bad state it just completely crushes the end game fun, and the worst part is that it could be wildly fixed instantly (as we've already seen two accidental "fixes" implemented and then horrifically removed). Yet here we are.
The amount of time I'm putting in has dropped drastically since I hit the end game. I'm not about to stop playing yet, but you need to do something. Not in a few months, either. I'm sorry, but Heart of Rage makes a terrible Stronghold. The Monitor is just far too much trouble to ever be worth the effort. God forbid you ever wipe on this boss fight that feels like it takes an hour to complete, because everyone just leaves and you never get to finish. No one is ever going to be willing to run Heart of Rage so long as bosses fully reset upon a wipe. Heart of Rage was not designed to be a repeatable Stronghold. That much is painfully obvious given how The Monitor works. I spent TWO HOURS yesterday trying to do Heart of Rage on GM1. When we wiped at 25% HP? I was nothing but irate, knowing I had just wasted two hours of my time. On top of all of that? I didn't get a SINGLE Masterwork drop from the rest of the Stronghold. Nothing but Blues and Purples that I broke down.

This is honestly the only reason I can think of, that would prevent them from making this VERY popular accidental change permanent. I suspect there’s an original plan somewhere where the loot scarcity was supposed to string people along for a few weeks to months so they still have something to grind for until BioWare updates the loot pools. The problem is, if they increase the drop rates, there will be a gap they’re not sure how to fill because the new loot won’t be ready for awhile. I imagine that’s the sort of argument going on at BioWare right now. I don’t envy them having to make that choice, but ultimately it’s probably better to have people leave out of boredom than frustration.

as long as the inscriptions are the way they are (aka shitty) and with no new content planned in March there is only one viable option to keep people entertained and playing: increase the MW/Legendary-loot drops as much as possible so it can be at least nice to sift through mostly useless MWs to maybe find a hidden gem... the drop rate now is abysmally low and if you are lucky enough to get a MW (other than the guaranteed component) it probably is a dublicate anyway ... so you are correct: better be bored with the same missions/SHs but with good (aka enough) loot than frustrated to play the same stuff over and over with no rewards whatsoever
tl;dr: to increase the MW loot drop rate should actually be a no brainer for BioWare and I am seriously baffled they even need to think about it

So, upon further contemplation, a thought has occured to me. I think the loot problem does indeed go beyond a lack of good drops. I think a core problem, is that the current rarity model is simply not sustainable. Anthem has put themselves into a box when it comes to their gear design. The reality is that their rarity system (common, uncommon, rare, epic, masterwork, legendary) has absolutely 0 relevance to the game. The truth is that Anthem has power levels, and rarity merely describes a section of power levels. This means that in the future either ALL ITEMS will forever be considered Legendary when they add more power or they will have to add new rarities like Artifact in the future just to continue naming sections of loot. Anthem rarity system is not designed for long term game progression. I think part of the problem, is we hate the current loot drop rate because it is impossible for Rare or Epic to ever be an increase over masterwork or legendary.
We should have
Power Level 70 Common w/ 0 Inscriptions
Power Level 70 Uncommon w/ 1 Inscription
Power Level 70 Rare w/ 2 Inscriptions
Power Level 70 Epic w/ 3 Inscriptions
Power Level 70 Masterwork w/ 4 Inscriptions and bonus effect
Power Level 70 Legendary w/ 5 High End Inscriptions and bonus effect
With this system all rarities are still relevant at every level in some way. An item at Power Level 80 Common should have base stats that make it better than the Power Level 70 Legendary possibly or at least the Epic. If this system was the case then you could have eternally progressing power levels and have low drop rate chances for masterworks and legendary. I don't know, maybe I'm way off base here. Maybe they've already realized this problem and that is why they've said it'll take a few months. All I know for sure, is the Loot System is a complete mess, and I would love to know why that is.

SO it really feels like a Bioware game then? It's the little things that make Bioware games so much fun. I keep going back and forth about whether I want to play it. Wasn't wowed by the demo but I get the impression a lot of people felt the same.

So long as you don't expect super in depth branching dialogue like a RPG. All their typical tropes are there. The only major difference would be in tone, I would say it's 60/40 in favor of goofiness.

Alright, I started to do more freeplay here lately, and I have more feedback to give about this mode in particular. It's been said by others, but I have to stress the point. The actual in game map, that you pull up in the menu, is awful. It does not mark anything except the "dungeons" and the landmarks. Why does the map not record everything I find? like chest locations for example? Why do Freeplay Events only trigger when you get near one?? That is not a living world. Those things should always be dynamically happening, weather or not anyone is nearby. With maybe a timer to reach that location or else it fails. If they did, it would actually make them a lot easier to find as well. Because then Feye would actually be doing what she said she would, Inform us of stuff happening and give us mission waypoints to get there. You've already talked about finally marking active Freeplay events on the map, so that is a good step, but also let our maps keep track of every Freeplay location we find, weather or nor they are on CD atm.
Why do the "Dungeons" provide no chest rewards to clearing them out during Freeplay? I've done several of them and have gotten no reward for the effort what so ever aside from the random loot dead enemies drop, and don't even try to tell me THAT is an acceptable reward for clearing a Freeplay "dungeon". This is your third attempt at Open World mechanics, why am I seeing almost no positive progress in this regard?
