By buying the game, at whatever price you paid for it, you got/get access to all current and future content. BioWare/EA has not gone back on this so, despite whatever salty reddit echo chamber F2P was conceived, they don't have a case for it. New content is incoming and you will get it if you bought the game. They feel like they paid full price for an early access game, which others might get for a fraction of that. They feel a little cheated. Okay, well, it's reddit so consider the source. "They'd feel" that way regardless It took me 60hrs to complete all missions and get to level 30 and I got over 200hrs in now. How long should it be to not be considered early access?

Can you elaborate? Usually, the more acclaimed games are generally indicative of better quality (subjective tastes aside). Are you saying their perceived quality is actually less, or that the acclaim itself exaggerates their positives? Or something else?

Hm.... I always think of it as game critics' evaluation vs us folks .

Have there been many RPGs or aRPGs or co-ops lasting only 10 hours tho? Even Witcher, the current golden child or DAO have long stretches of gameplay that one can easily consider boring or mediocre... I think people have long understood that there are differences between long and short games and it's hard to equally measure enjoyment in them because of how different these types of experiences are.

Acclaim is often exaggerated as quality becomes subjective. For example, a ga me like Gears of War is praised but playing it, it's honestly very good but not great. What makes this worse how critics tend to use too much hyperbole and not enough of a rigor to really dissect that in their reviews. Another example, the first mass effect is technically impressive in a lot of ways but gameplay wise pretty disengaging compared to the other titles. A lot of critics put it in the 9 to 10 range but I'd rate it around a 7 for its shortcomings. That doesn't mean it's bad, but often folks get carried away with their explainations.

Tony Z Ruiz @zonitronik There is something that always got me confused about Anthem lore and maybe you guys can help me. When you're in the Tarsis tomb, the Monitor project himself and tells you that he wants the Dawn javelin, and he follows: "the first to conquer the Heart of Rage". But how could be that possible if the HoR was created when the Dominion, headed by Harken and the Monitor, attacked Freemark 10 years ago. Is Heart of Rage a generic name for cataclysms? What am I missing?
Mary Kirby @biomarykirby The Monitor is making the same assumption that Faye does when she starts looking for the tomb: That the monster Fulminous that General Tarsis defeated in the stories was actually a cataclysm, and the mountain she climbed was at Freemark.

the monster Fulminous that General Tarsis defeated in the stories was actually a cataclysm, and the mountain she climbed was at Freemark. So, it looks like Cataclysms are events that spawn monsters in a single place and escalates in a Titan fight, or something similar. Might have some environmental ramifications as well. Definitely doesn't sound like Rift, am I right?

If Faye's character made the connection, she's right. Guaranteed. They'll even have her go "I knew it" or something along those lines, the first time you come across a cataclysm. The likelihood of her being wrong is slim to none. It's foreshadowing.
