Well, we should remind EA that people who play video games don't, have, friends. And frankly, they detest other people, that's why they play video games. Trying to force GAMERS into a social setting just isn't profitable, and is frankly, very offensive and republican of them.

Its one of the unique advantages of games. That being said of course I'd prefer DA4 remaining SP focused but there is a reason the market exists.

I don't think the message should be "We're friendless losers - Accomodate us!" Right now, EA believes that SP games are or should be dead, while live service games are an endless well of profit. I think that belief has been hurt by the harsh reception to Anthem, but I doubt they're willing to give up on the notion. I want to emphasize that a market exists for DA4 as a single-player game with separate multiplayer elements. Posting about it on this forum or Reddit or Facebook isn't going to change matters, so how can we get them to hear the message, even if it falls on deaf ears? It's like you said - we need to voice our wishes for a better singleplayer Dragon Age experience across social media and raise awareness of our wishes. One voice alone is never going to be enough. Not two, or three, or ten. So the more people we get to spread the message, the better. All we need is to make the point get across and the overall message heard loud and clear.

The initial reception to my thread on the Dragon Age SubReddit has been chilly, but it’s still early in the day. Damn, and I was almost done with mine.

That sounds like a horrible way to ruin the delivery of a joke, but I understand.
I feel like there are WAY more pressing issues regarding DA4 than '' DA4 WILL BE AN ALWAYS ONLINE MMO AAHHHH?!=!R=IFVKJAEFIGJKEAoi '' based on the knowledge of the game having live service elements. And besides, if it is to be such a game, I doubt some kind of a social media campaign can do ANYTHING to change the course.

I mean... the sheer absurd extremity of his post kind of gave it away.
Then again, I feel I must point out that BSN is the home of the guy who trotted out skull overlays to demonstrate female attractiveness. It's kind of hard to rely on any sort of metric anymore...

I think Bioware devs at least know what kind of game Dragon Age fans want.
At this point I'm just going to wait and see what happens. In the meanwhile Cyberpunk 2077 sounds very interesting.

Origin tracking data is going to determine what they think is going on with us. In my case, for instance, it shows someone who signed on for an Access trial, played his 10 hours of Anthem without touching the MP, and then dropped both.I suppose that means I've done my bit to support SP. Anthem doesn't discredit live service. A game with bad reviews is just a bad game. Anthem may end up discrediting Bio's competence at executing live service, but that's not at all the same thing.

Bioware has already said Dragon Age will still be the Dragon Age we all know and love. Bioware said the decisions we made in the ME:T would "completely shape our [story's] outcome" and we all know what happened there. Bioware says a lot of things, some of which are skirting the line of outright lying. They could argue the "Dragon Age we all know and love" means it's just set in the same world.

There's threads made about it and everything so I don't get why this thread exists.

Can you show where they've talked about how single player will be like before? Because from what I've seen they've used a lot of vague words and promises.

That's an odd way to spell "random Internet trolls that keep throwing slurs, griefing, screeching, bragging about their gamer cred, and generally being the dreck of the human race." I was wrong earlier. The reception to my post on the Dragon Age SubReddit isn’t just chilly, it’s actively hostile. How so?
