You treat the E3 trailer as if it was a promise, which it was not. It was a promo, and should be thought of as such.
about the road map. Please state evidence of other companies' 90 days in advance promises which are much more than bioware's, and please explain why those companies' roadmaps are hard evidence while bioware's is not.
"bare minimum" are you kidding me? Have you any idea (no, probably not, because then you wouldn't be as disrespectful) how much work is what they did already? Jezus wept, I'm done.
Forget the E3 trailer. Look at the gameplay stream 7-8 months ago. Here in the previous posts you have TD2 ONE YEAR Road map with actual extra content. Content that is on top of the launch content (that so far seems to be several times bigger than Anthem's. I am waiting for the desperate "go play TD2" retort). Yeah, unfair to compare with Ubisoft, but you asked. And why trust them to deliver? Same answer as why I am sceptical about Bioware - recent track record. And what is Anthem's new content in the next 90 days? Lot's of [REDACTED], event repeats (more spawns in Freeplay, wow, such novelty...but we saw that already, hmm), social improvements that many will say were mandatory to be there at launch and a Stronghold... Yeah, "show me a similar game that had less" is a tougher question. More Freeplay events... let's wait and see how awesome and different they will be. The Road map really doesn't want to reveal much. But even if lacking, let's hope BW delivers in that time frame. Note that for the redacted entries, you can still see what kind of content it is. Iirc, march is mostly or all freeplay events. It seems like the big teaser at the end of the story is just the new faction showing up in freeplay events lol.

Story and new areas content is Episodes. Bugfixes, mob spawns and being late in adding launch content as Episode? Ok, agreed, let's give slack to the newbie dev in the genre 😀 Anthem's Road map is the best ever made!

Four is a bigger number than three. What are you, stupid? You mean to tell me you'd take three $20 bills over four $1 bills? Three lottery grand prizes over four paychecks? Three high-end sports cars over four scooters? You toxic haters are really stretching to argue that four is not better than three. (Edit - shit got the last one backwards lol.)

I think my favorite part of stream is when the chat feed questions about "CPU USAGE", but the lead producer Ben Irving is in the matrix dodging all those CPU question bullets, & instead he found 1 rando in chat saying that the gear sux in a sea of "CPU USAGE".
Reminds me of good ol' bronze Billy from the MEA:MP streams, & his fascination with the Salarian Architect.

Im sorry, maybe I overlooked something but where was it ever confirmed that there would be story specific DLC for Anthem? When I mean story DLC, I mean a full fledged narrative continuation of the story with full cutscenes, new locstions characters and Ft Tarsis dialog and choices. Divison 2 has promised new D.C. locations, characters and a continuation of the main story outside of the MP specific stuff. Also the Anthem road map only goes out to 90 days where D2 is a full year. In November 2019 I have somewhat of an idea of what I will get in D2. What does Fall 2019 have in store for Anthem?

What does Fall 2019 have in store for Anthem? Hopefully more than SWTOR has planned for that time Or it will probably be "Free players can now unlock one extra Javelin".
"Our world, your story". They washed their hands of it, man. It's on you now. They said it clearly. They do the world, you think up your story. Go write fanfics in the Lore forum, that's the story.

And those indeed keep happening consistently and pretty darn fast, especially compared to the competition in the genre Anthem is a newbie to.

If I understand correctly, the upcoming patch next week is causing content to be delayed for this game. So basically problems or quality of life changes that should, or not depending on your point of view, have been there from the beginning, are delaying content. Is that correct?

Not that is not correct, while they bughunt Bioware is also doing MOCAP with the whole crew of the game. Which is a clear indicator of new story content incoming. If anything Bioware is doing this faster than a lot of other devs who are in the online game market.

Holy hell, that was painful to watch. They got nothing. - Fix for GM2/3 in three patches at the earliest, sooo... 5-7 weeks from now? - Bulwark Point/Windwall buff, it's still not percentage based, must be really hard to go for the obvious solution. - No timeframe for MW Support gear. - Glanced over the level 1 weapon/gear bug, not realizing the implications. - Essentially nothing for future events, I'm too lazy to double check, what did he say? Maybe something at the end of March? - They are "monitoring" the loot situation... how about you double the amount of MW/Leg drops and do another pass regarding inscription pools for starters? Goddamn rocket science right there. - No timeframe for stats overview for your Javelin. - Increased damage on MW weapons doesn't help if you don't get god rolls on +weapon damage or +physical... and we all know how likely that is. - I'm not even going to bother to ask for design passes on worthless MW components or unique Legendaries that actually deserve the name, instead of them being lousy amped up versions of Masterworks. At this speed they are probably getting around to it in half a year. Increased power rating on MW stuff to buff melee/ultimate damage and the rezz fix are the only positives. :sigh:: This is reminding me far, far too much of the debacle that was the launch of Galactic Command and that didn't end well for Ben Irving. If Anthem fails the way GC did... Ben I don't think will be getting the sideways shuffle he'll be getting a DCM. I hope I'm wrong of course.... #imstillsalty I was overjoyed when he left SWTOR. It's Exciting!!!! No, no it's not.

These first three months are probably going to be devoted to just squashing bugs. I don't see bigger QoL or gameplay improvements coming until Act 2 (month 6) or Act 3.
While it's good that they're trying to continue fixing the game, tbh I kinda got a sense from Ben that the team is somewhat directionless when it came to how they want to handle the loot system. Don't know if his rather tired posture is leading to this feeling I'm having, or his wording. Him saying he'd like to see a consolidated thread on reddit to outline what people want is kinda indicative of them not knowing where they want to end up. Sure, they probably know what they need to address in the short term, but it would be better if they actually put out their own opinions as to where they wish to take the loot system in the long run.
I still keep watch over how the games development is going, but right now I play Anthem fairly sparingly. I finished the campaign, and I'm only at level 18 right now. It's not so much that I'm having a bad time right now, as I haven't experienced any major bugs and only one disconnect (though that might have been a server update from before). Right now, I'm in the process of completing my dissertation, so my time playing games right now is pretty small as is. There's also job hunting.
For now, I play it when I can so I don't run into the issue of burnout.

Him saying he'd like to see a consolidated thread on reddit to outline what people want is kinda indicative of them not knowing where the want to end up. Sure, they probably know what they need to address in the short term, but it would be better if they actually put out their own opinions as to where they wish to take the loot system. I think they are likely crowd-sourcing a bit on GM2/GM3 because that's going to cater to a certain type of hardcore hobbyist as opposed to the more casual gamer who will be content to stick to missions, freeplay, quickplay and maybe dabble in a Stronghold or two. These are the min-maxers that devote steaming hours to play the hardest levels and create content on Epic builds. You want this audience hyping your game so it makes sense they try to get a consensus of what the community is going to want and they have the ability to adapt pretty quickly to those requests Even with the recent changed they announced on the livestream, I read a lot of Twitter comments about how "Bungie would have taken 6 months to do this!"and with the mixed reaction to the new Destiny 2 content, they still have an opportunity to put themselves out in front as the dev team that is willing to listen and move fast on community suggestions.

It is good that they're patching faster (though it's pretty needed right now). I believe Ben said they're doing patches on a 2 week cadence, which is significantly faster than either Bungie or Massive. Thing is, once they start addressing the various bugs in the game, I could see them slowing that down to a month because of the significantly larger fixes they'll have address (GM2/3 Loot drops & scaling, UI design, enemy design, new modes, more strongholds, etc).
