Lol, cause everyone knows only a limited amount of talented people were born, and there will never be any more. Eventually, you gotta find new people to fill a role left behind. No one can be expected to stay at a company forever. Best you can do, is to judge whether or not the people who are leaving feel confident in those who are taking their place. Apparently, Mike Laidlaw says he's pretty confident in Patrick Weeke's; on the narrative front anyway. I do think every generation of developer brings something unique though. That said, having a lot of leads and senior devs leaving in masse has a very strong destabilizing effect on a project.

I'll miss out on a lot of games nowadays, in between studios and publishers treating their employees as absolute garbage, and greedy, money-making, manipulative schemes promoting gambling-addictions in young children while also lowering the quality of the gameplay itself to increase the revenue of these goddamn in-game-transactions.
There is a way out: join the world of indie games. No more BS, no more greedy publishers, no more miserable employers. Just a lot of genuine enthusiasm from devs who put a lot of efforts in their creation. I've played a lot of games from small companies lately that have literally rekindled my passion for this hobby. Obviously you can still find bad games and unethical people who sell you an unfinished product which is likely to remain like that forever, but the chances to be burned are objectively low.
I dream of a day when all the folks from old Bioware will finally reunite under a small new company who will put its new project on kickstarter: "XXXXXXXX, the REAL spiritual successor of Dragon Age:Origins/KOTOR/Mass Effect/BG1&2/whatever".

I'm going to go slightly off topic and say Bioware's recent history may work against the DEVELOPERS (not the game). Because there will be a lot of pressure for DA:4 to be real darn good. Hopefully there won't be too much crunch with this title.
