An arcane horror that was formed from a Pride demon possessing the corpse of a powerful mage, who had died after being infected by the darkspawn taint and red lyrium.

I want to see an untainted Old God, assuming that such a thing does still exist and they weren't actually corrupted before or whilst still in their prison.

- a male presenting desire demon with a dick tassle and one for each testicle - a cetus - a hunger abomination, I want to see how much that interpretation would be "vampire" - something with yet more legs than Nightmare - a werewolf in Frostbite - some more of the underground lizard people. I feel like that's a plot point for later but eh.

The Scaled Ones would be a cool addition. Wouldn't mind seeing the Varterral returning. And on that note, a few new Boss-level monsters would be nice. Maybe hidden away for ages by the Ancient Elves.

There were also a couple of cool Tevinter prototypes we saw during the early run-up to DA:I. Maybe we'll see them fleshed out in DA4...? The giant scorpion rider and the... bear... dog... thing... stood out. Holy hell I had completely forgotten about those big boys. Now I'm saddened that DA:I didn't include them. That said, if BioWare's planning on adding them for DA4, I think I will cry with joy.

From the looks of those pictures, the desire demon in it's original form could have made an appearance in DAI as well. It'd be cool to see them back, along with more demon and spirit types. I'd be interested to see the hunger abomination, Bioware's version of vampires.
I'd also like to see some aerial attack baddies, sirens or harpies perhaps?

I'd like to see some ancient elven acolytes of the Evanuris make an appearance. And some of Ghilan'nain's surviving monsters.

Another high level adventurer / mercenary group.
In all the RPG's I've ever played facing off another adventurer group just like mine was the most fun, it was always super hard and the loot was awesome.

The Evanuris definitely (either as antagonists or possible allies).
I would also like to see Werewolves again.

Of course they exist. But they're underground. I know the Old Gods are underground but I'm not convinced that they are untainted when the darkspawn reach them. Why would darkspawn instantly corrupt them into an arch-demon when dragons are said to be resistant to the Blight? Why does its song attract them if it isn't already corrupted? Ditto, why can the Grey Wardens hear its call if it is uncorrupted? Why were the walls of the Old God prison below Haidrun Thaig corrupted? That suggests that either something in the prison walls corrupted the Old God or it was already corrupted when shut away and then over the millennia its corruption seeped into the walls. That is why I said "if they still exist" in their uncorrupted form.

Any enemy that follows the same mechanical rules as my characters do.
Really, I want all enemies to do that. It makes no sense within the setting to have an incoherent ruleset.

I had a theory on this a while back...
The Black City is actually a Blighted Titan, and here is how the Old Gods might fit into this.
- It's been hinted that the Old Gods were spirits originally, and we know there were even spirit teachers among the Ancient Elves. - The Old Gods were said to teach magic to humans... as well as Blood Magic. - We know from Mythal that an Evanuris could be slain and later possess/merge with any willing host. - The Archdemons and Corypheus could also do something very similar... but only with creatures tied to the Blight. - And it's important to note that spirits who are slain typically lose their identity/memories/power, even if they are reborn later. Thanks for that Solas & JoH.
Could the Old Gods have originally been spirits/demons who became envious of the Evanuris' immortality/power (perhaps were slaves?)... and wanted to become "Gods" themselves?
What if the spirit/demon predecessors of the Old Gods tied themselves to the Titan's power? Possibly creating the Blight themselves (through blood magic & the Titan's power) and "infected" the Titan with the goal of using its power to corrupt, control, and achieve a level of immortality they envied in the Evanuris? To become "Gods" themselves with ever-growing legions of followers?
Now, back on Thedas the imprisoned Old Gods had a "Song" power similar to the Titan's "Song", but were not tied to the Blight. Which makes me think things didn't quite go as planned. Maybe the Evanuris noticed the Blight taking hold of what would become the Black City and swiftly moved to imprison it. The Old Gods are now forced to flee, possessed or took on the form of dragons, and hid, hibernated or were imprisoned as punishment.
But while they had power from the Titan, they weren't tied to the Blight and therefore still vulnerable to being killed (and losing their identity). So they dangle the carrot of the "Golden City of the Gods" to the Tevinter Magisters. They breach the prison, become corrupted by the now fully Blighted Titan, and bring the first Darkspawn and the Taint to Thedas. And that might explain why they tempted the Magisters to enter the Black City in the first place, their hatred of the Elves, and why the Darkspawn are drawn to the call of the Old Gods.
The Old Gods want to be corrupted and tied to the Blight (and the power/control/immortality it offers), but perhaps it came at a cost they didn't expect.
The big wrinkle in their plan though were the mortal races learning to use the Blight to their advantage: Grey Wardens & the original DS Magisters (who were corrupted/empowered by the source of the Blight).

Enemies I can sneak up on.
I don't want the developers to decide for me how I will encounter an enemy. Don't funnel be through a bottleneck so I always encounter an enemy from the same side (thus defining for me how the encounter will proceed).
If I can circle around an enemy, and intentionally initiate combat (possibly before the enemy sees me), that's good news.
Perhaps my biggest complaint about DA2 (and there were many) was that I wasn't allowed to use combat abilities until the game decided I was in combat.
