I am in the unusual situation of having played more or less at release, given up because of the bugs, and then subsequently become hooked over the last 18 months.

^ That's cool, I thought I was the only one with such a spread out DAIMP history.

And in your quest for quotes, you could directly pm some of the old timers, can't imagine they'd mind. At least for now a lot of people are investigating Anthem.

We started playing DAI:MP a couple months ago, so we are very late to the party 

I'm a relative newbie, I only started playing DAIMP last October so I was super late to the party. I'd played SP for a couple years but couldn't play MP due to crappy internet where I live. Soon as fiber optic was available in my area, I got it and I starting DAIMPing that very same day. I'd been looking forward to it, as I had to wait several weeks for it to be installed. From that point on, I played every single day for months. Well, up until maybe a month ago. Short version is I haven't been feeling very well lately and a whole bunch of other really shitty things happened at the same time and I haven't been around for a bit. I might jump back in within the next few days if I'm up for it. Feel free to ask me anything you want.

Hey thanks everyone who's replied so far! This isn't dead, it's just been *resting* for a few days, as thst damned Offline World has been demanding rather a lot of attention. Will be pinging everyone on this thread (and some of the others I can think of on here) with questions/starting conversations hopefully later this week
