I thought Colossus was supposed to be constantly ramming and killing low level enemies to pick up health packs to counteract the damage they received. Does that not work? They sure look pretty survivable. Yes that works well. Low level enemies. Sooner or later the spawns include the tough damage dealers or the bosses. Much like melee krogans cleaning up on low levels but being very sync killable. Sync kill is a blight, it shouldn't be considered in the matter of face-tanking bullets, since it's basically infinite damage

Sync kill is a blight, it shouldn't be considered in the matter of face-tanking bullets, since it's basically infinite damage I remember times when the Krogans and Batarians had no dodge but still were stunlocked. Stun lock is bad, but like WW2 Italy bad. Sync kill is WW2 Germany bad (and that's my Godwin point before bedtime)

So you are one of those guys then...? The ones that keep dying as Colossus. Tell me how that works exactly. I'm serious. I have played Colossus once for like an hour or so on GM2 because I kept getting components for him when playing my Interceptor and it was literally impossible for me to die and I just bashed everything in sight. Totally overpowered and boring as hell in my opinion. I have played with 2 guys who mainly were playing as Colossus during the first week of premier access before the changes to gear score and such and even then they hardly ever went down.

I never use Best defense and still have no issues with Colossus. I do have the armor refill component on melee kill and that is more than enough. And thanks to easy combos my Ultimate is always available for an instaheal.
Honestly, if you slot Best Defense on top of all that, I can't see how a Colossus will ever die unless you afk in the middle of an enemy spawn for 5 minutes. Although I noticed that many enemies ignore you when you are in their face and it's actually a very safe place to be, lol. Things get dangerous only when there is a good shooting distance between you and the mobs.

So if Bioware make bad damage dealing glass cannons, you'll say they don't need to kill enemies if they can simply avoid them ? ;-) But to stay on topics, ME3MP Krogans were somewhat tanky (double health/shield value compared to humans) but weren't proper tanks, the only real tanks in ME3MP were the Get Jugg and the Krogan Warlord, which were added very late (last update I think). Other Krogans were hybrids with good survivability

I actually think all of the classes at their core are pretty well thought out, not to say some of the components couldn't stand some tweaking and better yet, some complete new worthwhile components would be really nice.
Hell, I thought Interceptors were worthless once you jumped into GM2 and 3 until I saw one running solo and owning the GM3 dungeon he was in. With alittle work and taking time to learn the perks I'm handling GM2 freeplay at 704 on my interceptor alot better than I did on my 746 ranger.
My biggest problem with this game as of now is GM2 in general. While I think its a good level to start learning builds, I think our power levels should actually matter more than they do now. A masterworked javelin, despite builds and playing stupid(raises hand) owns in GM1 despite the build. A legendary javelin in GM2 without a good build is trash, at least mine was until I actually had a couple good legendary drops with some good perks.
Oh, and access to the forge really needs to be implemented into freeplay if for no other reason than being able to test builds.

Krogan Vanguard was a tank too. Once again I'd say hybrid : - Charge gives him aggro and survivability (and a tiny bit of CC if you spec for radius), but mainly it's a tank ability - Barrier gives survivability, but also damage boost - Carnage gives CC if you take knockdown evo, damage agaisnt armor, and primes for fire explosion So yeah, he's definitely tankier than other starting Krogans, but just because Charge recharges your barrier, which gives you enough time between 2 charges (if you're hosting) Otherwise I feel as tanky with the Krogan sentinel
