I think he only chose "full" romances. That meant no Javik, no Samara and no Kelly. If you didn't make out and hit the sheets together garrusfan1 didn't count them.

Thane and Kaidan are my top two. Garrus comes in third. For male Shep, I'm actually really enjoying the Jack romance (playing ME2 again right now). Thane's was awesome. It was so emotional in ME3 when he dies....

I’m curious how their poll for MEA romances would be under that criteria, since some romances have it as optional and others ambiguous.

Garrus and Liara. Still love the scene when Shepard says she is saving the galaxy for her. And Garrus, well... is Garrus, what more do you want?

Woah. Didn't expect Jack to match Garrus right now. Nice.
Garrus remains a favorite to this day so that remains unsurprising. Still trying to figure out the second favorite

My second favorite is Tali. I really liked her. Her romance should have been nonsexual though.

I was a Kaidan fangirl until ME3 kind of ruined him. So overall I'll pick Liara. She's also GREAT as a friendship to romance arc. I almost went for it after Kaidan annoyed the crap out of me. Shadow Broker is also a nice plus for Liara.
ME1: Kaidan>>>Liara/Ashley ME2: Jack>Garrus>Miranda/Thane>Tali>>>>>>Jacob ME3: Liara>Kaidan>Ashley (haven't continued the others yet!)

Shadow Broker is also a nice plus for Liara. ME1: Kaidan>>>Liara/Ashley ME2: Jack>Garrus>Miranda/Thane>Tali>>>>>>Jacob ME3: Liara>Kaidan>Ashley (haven't continued the others yet!) Ashley was screwed over in ME3 in terms of romance content. That said garrus got alot so I am cool with it. Tali had a pretty good romance as well. Traynor was suprisingly well done.
Jack got royally screwed. Jacob started dating another women and left shepard which is understandable since she turns herself into the alliance. Miranda's romance was decent in ME3 though she didn't get much attention.
Still they listened to the fans when it came to more garrus content so i was happy with it. The only romance I didn't do was cortez and male shep with kaiden. This was because I had romances on all my other saves. The only reason I got traynor was because thane died and jacob breaks up with shep so I had two free romance openings.

No one is, statistically, my most common romance.
But after that, Garrus is a clear and present favorite (content! Friendship! Remembering you're a gosh danged couple the whole time looking at you T'soni).
...And then Jack, which feeds my pathos buttons.
I really WISH Jacob's was better, as he honestly had my favorite ME2 romance, but Mr. Stable and Supportive apparently couldn't handle a bit of house arrest.

It was so emotional in ME3 when he dies.... IIRC, they forgot Thane was a LI, hence why a romanced f!Shep just stood there while the man she loved died instead of holding his hand, saying I love you etc and maybe sharing a final kiss. Miranda's optional death was well done and Thanemancers should have got something similar in the main game, IMO, especially since his death is a forced event.

Wait what are you talking about his death scene (not the running at kai leng scene but the one in the hospital) was epic for a shep who romanced thane. Shep got into the romance knowing thane was dying. The final scene when shep is in a romance with him was great and one of the most emotional parts of the game.

Dude's too Machiavellian to see him romantically. One more reason why one should drink responsibly.

I don't care about Thane one way or the other. I never romanced him at all and only recruit him to keep Kirrahe alive. But one of the writers confirmed thy actually forgot to include romanced Shep in the death scene, which is why a romanced Shep remains stoic at his deathbed instead of holding his hand, sharing a final kiss, I love you etc. It's the reason Garrus doesn't mention Thane at the memorial wall after the Coup. They forgot. They tried to fix it with the Citadel DLC though. If his death scene was epic for you, that's great, but they actually did forget romanced Shep in that scene. Patrick Weekes' livejournal said:
Yeah, I wasn't in charge of Thane, but I see Thane's death situation as one of those things that's the drawback of a large writing team. Lots of followers talk about the Citadel Event in terms of what happens with the VS, but because Thane was optional, it didn't click with any of us that the player could also have just lost a friend or loved one THERE as well. That was a dropped ball on our end.
