When they announce whether they will have another ME game in andromeda or milky way I will replay andromeda. If the next game is in andromeda. It's not that I didn't like MEA but it doesn't have the incredible replayability that the ME trilogy did. Or the DA games did. hm, I see your point
I have several games that I've finished about once or twice and don't bother with again because as you say, they don't really have much re-playability (can't really name any atm. from the top of my head though)
That's what I love about the Mass Effect trilogy and Dragon Age games (also Elder Scrolls games and Fire Emblem Awakening), they're games you can put away for a while and then pick up again. And enjoy them again like you did the first time
After my absence from the Mass Effect trilogy for over 6 years, it's great to replay them again (also no nightmares so far, yay! (though I think I know where they came from at the time...I had a lot of stress back then, still do but I'm getting better) it's funny that despite such a long time my memory on the games is still pretty vivid, at least as far as story lines go
I have had problems with the gathering quests (prothean discs and stuff) in ME1 that I have to keep the wikia nearby to know where they all are (I'm a completionist )
I wouldn't mind having another game set in Andromeda, but they'd really have to make some changes to make me as invested as I am in the Trilogy or the DA games
Yeah for me replayability is one of the most important things in a game. The funny thing about me and skyrim is that I played the game ALOT but I only ever actually beat it two or three times. Yet I beat DA2 probably twenty times.
One of the issues I had with andromeda that really killed the replayability was that the combat wasn't that fun for me. The bullet sponge thing was out of control and took alot of the fun out of it. At least for me. It's the reason that ME2 and ME3 have more replayability then ME1..well I usually stop at priority earth in ME3.

I did an completionist run of Skyrim once...which isn't as fun as it sounds at one point I had done every quest I could find, even the marriage and adoption quests. I'd became Thane of every hold and bought every house (and build every house)
...and then my character became a reclusive hermit on Solstheim because she hated going back to her husband and kids (sometimes I really wish I knew how to mod to make my own stuff)
I do think I've played Oblivion more then I've finished Skyrim, I love the Shivering Isles expansion
I don't really recall the amount of times I've completed the ME Trilogy...about 4-5 times or so before I got the nightmares Dragon Age...at least Origins and 2 I've beat I think 10 times or more, Inquisition I've now beaten twice
though I've yet to do the dlc's, kinda waiting with those until there's more news on DA4
I call a game finished when I see the credits or have finished the main quests
as for Andromeda though...the furthest I've gotten was to...Havarl, I'd unlocked the vault there...I plan to go back at some point thing about Andromeda is, is that I love the fact they included the first name (Scott/Sara) but hate that whenever I pick a different name it won't be addressed
I really hope for a Bioware game in the future that takes a cue from Fallout 4, where they have this huge list of names (and some random words) that a certain companion would call you by while I know it'd be tedious to do, it does make a character more personal...but I also love being called by a title or surname
(I just head canon that loved ones eventually call you by the first name you give your character)

Yeah but I get why they don't do it because think of how many ways you can spell one name and they would have to use a different name for all of them. I liked how they did it with shepard and the DA games. That
I have beaten ME2...at least fifty times and that is not an exageration sadly. ME1 I think is close to twenty but that is because when I originally played the trilogy I wanted every import to be level sixty and a different name for each shepard import. I did one for every LI in ME1 and ME2. ME3 I beat completly 3 times but I played and stopped at the cerberus base or just before the beam run...probably fifteen times at least.
DAO I had a hard time with because I kept changing my mind and going back to make a different character. I probably beat it fifteen times. While DA2 had it's problems it had VERY good replayability in my opinion and I probably beat it about twenty or thirty times. And DAI probably ten times
The shivering isles dlc was pretty awesome. It kinda reminded me of an even more demented alice in wonderland. The closest I ever got to beating pblivion was where you go into that magical realm thing late in the game. I didn't have enough health potions and would get killed REAL quick and eventually just said fu** it I'm done. I think my copy of morrowing was broken since I could never do the main quest. I would go to the dwarf ruins for that mission and then not find what I was supposed to find. I spent two hours going over everything even going so far as to walk over every inch of that ruin looking different directions to see if it was hidden but nothing came up.
I would recommend beating andromeda. Like I said it may not be as good as the trilogy but it's still good.

I mostly play broshep, and I honestly prefer to stay single. I wanted to say Ashley, but her lack of content in ME3 (and what is there is WEAK), the fact that she is too stubborn to admit she was wrong on Horizon and leaving Kaidan behind on Virmire are too many strikes for her. I would also like to say Miranda, but I don't like the disconnect between her great Citadel DLC scenes and the pathetic scene you get on Earth that barely changes romanced or not. And she never uses the "L" word once in ME3.
I don't romance the aliens for my broshep. And Jack, I wouldn't be interested in even if her development is aight. Her past is too troubled/shady and I don't find her aesthetically interesting either. I know she's not added, but I actually think Cora might be the best overall. She is nice, can be flirty, is pleasant/funny with other squad members and has enough moments where she shows she cares about you that it was endearing.
For femshep, I find Garrus over-rated, Thane is good but doomed to failure, and Jacob is a douche magoo. Kaidan easily wins.
But I think Kaidan is the best overall since he's versatile, well developed, likable, and goes with either gender.
tl;dr version : Cora for male and Kaidan for femshep/brosheps

From the first time I played mass effect to today, my Shep's heart beats bright Asari Blue. Second place is a tie with Tali and Ashley, but I chose Tali as I just find her character to be better written and the relationship makes for a far more consuming story. Nothing captivates me more than the Liara/Shepard story though. Post ME3 though, I haven't made Tali romance playthroughs. More satisfying to see Tali and Garrus together. That little thing where you walk in on them in the forward battery just makes me happy.

I never really cared for Liara, or Ashley. Liara was a floozy in ME1 and perfect for a pump and dump and while Bioware pulled all the stops to get me back in with her in LotSB, I didn't really care, though I understood why I should and therefore just didn't go on with her in ME3. Ashley I didn't care for and Tali was ... ew. Miranda I mostly liked for her charm as well as her competence. It was most impressive to see her antagonize Shepard, at first, instead of being awestruck by him, like Liara or Tali and I really enjoyed her dynamic with Jack. But man, oh man, I was not prepared for Jack and her mascara bleeding eyes. Jack's romance is probably one of the most powerful arcs I've experienced and the insinuation behind Jack saying how she is broken and Shepard insisting to be with her was just ... well, that was something else.

My favourite love interest for the trilogy for male Shepard is Miranda Lawson and for female Shepard is Kaidan Alenko.
Why Miranda? She's one of the few characters in the game who isn't blindly loyal to Shepard. What they eventually have, be it friendship or romance is earned. That, to me, is something that I find missing from Tali or Liara - Both of them are blindly in love or unfailingly loyal or have a crush on Shepard almost from the get go. There's also the fact that Tali has a fetish for non Quarian men which makes you doubt if she loves Shepard because of his character or because he's an alien. As for Liara, she undergoes so many character changes in such a short time span and she's shoved onto the player as the default love interest option which is unappealing. With regards to Ashley, she's actually great in ME1 and her actions are perfectly in character for ME2. However, Ashley gets sent to support Kirrahe and Kaidan takes care of the nuke in ME1 and I canonically go for the nuke because mission comes first. Nothing against Ashley but sensible choices don't often result in happy endings. So despite getting shafted in ME3 with little content, I still prefer Miranda for Maleshep.
Why Kaidan? Kaidan is one of the very few in Mass Effect who doesn't bother Shepard with his problems or rely on Shepard to fix his problems. He's his own man who has a good & solid handle on his life, unlike say, Garrus who drifted from being a failed C Sec officer to failed vigilante. If I'm a woman, I'd prefer a man who has his life sorted out who is level headed, highly skilled and gets along well with everyone. Kaidan is that kind of man so he's my choice for Femshep.

I have around 110 playthroughs through all three games (most of them being ME2), so if you do it statistically, it is probably Liara. But those were the bulk of the beginning playthroughs when I was new to the series on PS3 and did not get a chance to play ME1 until I figured out about the thing you could download to make the important decisions from that game. After all that, probably Tali followed by Miranda. Liara did not cut it for me and I found her character bland and at times stupid in ME1. Tali had a whole arc of coming of age in ME1, more importance and ME2 and culminated in her species biggest "fight" in ME3 and she stood by Shepard's side no matter what. Miranda's arc of becoming less cold and even warm was well written and more interesting than most others (a good dynamic with her counterpart Jack). Both Miranda and Tali's Citadel DLC solo's were very well written as well.
