Dear Bioware, please stop living in a bubble. Learn from other Studios, for once in your life. I beg you. FFS ppl call her "Space Mom". Thats how popular she is.
For Bioware, a studio that only seems to ever want glowing praise and fan squees, they sure don't take the steps required to get those types of reactions.

This is why I really do resent BW for closing their forums. The BW forums were never a particularly toxic place either. Yes, people liked to criticize the games there and take them apart to their smallest aspects but that was part of the fun, it was in 99% of cases done with a fairly high level of civility and if the devs and administrators over at BW had seen it in that context, it could have been a great place to gather feedback for them. Square Enix found they needed a better way to get feedback on FFXIV and built the official FFXIV forums a few years after the game launched. Bioware find they need a better way to get feedback and announced a ... player feedback environment? Swell. I would imagine the mods will be the strictest ones they can get or they would need Hazmat suits to get with a 20km radius of it atm.

Like I said before I was on the Beth official forums when it exploded for a year after Oblivion. The community manager and mods were able to get the situation under control because the people there were competent. And now the Beth forums are very respectful. Community managers need to do their jobs though, and part of their job description is right there in the title.

I wasn't actually referring to the current state of the forums where they have been tossing the ban hammer around quite a lot lately, perhaps to weed out a lot of detractors prior to this update going live, I was being mindful of a "player feedback environment" down the road and envisaging the type of feedback they will probably be getting. They would need broad shoulders imo.

Theoretically EA Gamechangers are supposed to offer feedback but we all suspect that feedback is full of praise and almost 100% useless.

Player Feedback Environment to me means a test server, which means mostly hardcore supporters involved, which means there won't be a lot of vitriol imo. What I want to know is how the people testing stuff would communicate to the people at Bioware : S
Anyway, I want to take the opportunity to thank all the EA Gamechangers covering Anthem for doing a BANG UP JOB at describing to the consumer what Anthem would be like on release. I mean, you weren't preying on consumers AT ALL, so I guess NICE FUCKING WORK. Also I'm against you and everything you stand for. Have a nice day.

I'm looking for information, and in that regard Gamechangers were and continue to be useless, peddling in false impressions for views. Which is how much of YouTube is, but if you're going to criticise one you need to criticise them all.

The most critical I've seen a Gamechanger be before release was "I'm still not convinced", which is fairly not critical. One Gamechanger who people on the forum said "did criticism right" barely criticised at all. If you got your info watching Gamechangers, then you got fairly biased and incomplete info.

To no one's surprise at this point, Bioware won't fulfill Anthem's roadmap on time. Several promised features supposed to be introduced between May and June are delayed, without a new date (at least for the time being). The full post on reddit is here.

Small changes in the loot system have cause a lot of new bugs everytime they touched it, so they probably just can't fix it yet.

So the people that made it badly say its made badly but they will endeavour to do better? I can see its just a wellspring of a confidence builder. Its almost the same as Hillary Clinton stating Trump isn't a bad guy at heart and he means well. Just fluffy bunnies and butterflies everywhere. I am positive about something but it has nothing to do with the game.

I am positive about something but it has nothing to do with the game. Different people, it was made by Edmonton and after launch it was given to Austin team. Also, it's done badly because (allegedly) they developed the whole game in the last year of development after previously squandering 6 years due to bad management. Since the game is out now, at least they can be more focused in their work. Then again, they probably hate Anthem by now and would rather do something different than dealing with a mess of fixing and redoing somebody elses work. I didn't get the Hillary/Trump thing though...

I thought Bioware can't do worse compared to the previous streams of fail. Just watched the new stream. I admit - I was wrong. Bioware magic at work. I am a believer now, BW can do worse! Can't wait for the next stream. This is so much more entertaining than the game itself.
Few highlights for me: - in chat "blink if you need help" - the silence after opening the chest - the "loot" chat bombing when someone said "I will look at the chat now" - picking the "flying boss" question and everyone's face being "why the F did you pick that one?" - the overall feel of hatred toward their own game and the players

It was a joke.
The biggest take away for people is going to be the fact that they played through an entirely new stronghold on a livestream just for everyone watching to see that the loot is still not worth the effort. That was GM1 they were playing in the livestream. Players are supposed to spend 2, 3 4 times as long on GM2 & GM3 for terrible loot. This is not going to keep people playing, or entice people who have quit playing to come back.
They also said in the livestream that they wanted to water wall to play a part in the boss fight but they ran into some issues. So instead of holding off and making the fight more dynamic, they just pushed the new stronghold out. At this point, there's really no difference in putting 1/14 things on the road map out in April, or 0/14. They may as well have waited and made it better.

I have never understood why people proffer excuses for organisations then completely ignore that the same organisation will be continuing to do the same thing again. Trying to apologise for a company by stating 'individuals this" or "sections that" is naïve IMO, its all one company run by the same management. To be fair though, organisations love it, "we have disciplined the individuals concerned and apologise to our customers", there is no "the buck stops here, its lets play pass the buck or everything rolls downhill. Its like getting attacked after getting too near a wasp nest but trying to pick out the individual wasps that stung you so you can stomp on them and them alone. Some black humour is too subtle for some, think Kum Ba Yah, lets all hug and make it better. <iframe width="23.6400000000001" height="6.30000000000001" id="MoatPxIOPT0_55783694" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 15px; top: -5px; width: 23.64px; height: 6.3px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> <iframe width="23.6400000000001" height="6.30000000000001" id="MoatPxIOPT0_69144554" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 1122px; top: -5px; width: 23.64px; height: 6.3px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> <iframe width="23.6400000000001" height="6.30000000000001" id="MoatPxIOPT0_55770514" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 254px; width: 23.64px; height: 6.3px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> <iframe width="23.6400000000001" height="6.30000000000001" id="MoatPxIOPT0_34378425" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 1122px; top: 254px; width: 23.64px; height: 6.3px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe>

To no one's surprise at this point, Bioware won't fulfill Anthem's roadmap on time. Several promised features supposed to be introduced between May and June are delayed, without a new date (at least for the time being). The full post on reddit is here. They've been abandoning ship for sometime now, obviously, left behind just enough people to steer while the others jump off. I just didn't think they'd make it so "public," by not meeting their milestones. They've lost their loyal fans' faith, that's for sure. By doing this, however, they're alienating the rest of the gaming community. This has become a trend with bioware since andromeda; not supporting their games properly after release. IMHO They need to put more money and manpower to save Anthem now..not for Anthem or profit, but for the bioware logo that will be put on their future games, if any.

I just hope bioware doesn't understand "game support" the way you do..
