OK, you had a few days to play this new stronghold. I know it is fresh and you may find it fun actually. The novelty will wear off eventually. They all do, to me anyway.
But, I think it's same-old same-old in terms of loot drops. So, is it a good one for farming? If so why do you think it is? If not, explain.
Do tell.
EDIT: What the fun part?

The novelty will wear of eventually, sure, but the great level design will stay the same. This one also demands that we work together as a team. All around it is a very good Dungeon/Delve/Strike/Stronghold.

I've only played it twice, everyone else must get to it before me on quickplay 😂

Frankly, I did not expect a mirror vote as that Twitter Poll Sofa posted. And, I was right.
It's all in the question, isn't it? Which of the four Strongholds is best? Ta-daa = Sunken. Of course, we could have asked which of the three Heart of Rage, Temple of Scar or Tyrant Mine is best? And, the one with the most votes can be declared a "hit". Apparently, Sunken is a hit.
To paraphrase another poster, "how many who left came back to play this hit"?
IMO, improving the loot, even temporarily, will improve our enjoyment... 'cause now we have possibilities.

Seriously, did all their dev's up and quit or something? I've watched a lot of the mainstream YouTube'ers that discuss gaming and I've heard about all the internal turmoil at BioWare, but hell, give us what we want. They wouldn't even respond to the question during this most recent live stream. It doesn't make sense.

They need to keep people playing until they at least have new content which will keep people playing after they get all the loot. New content will also provide more and different loot. If they just increase the loot like people want then there soon won't be any more reason to play as people will either have everything or will just get even more frustrated at all the duplicates they keep getting.
It seems to me that it's a careful balancing act and if they get it wrong and increase the frequency too much then it will be even harder to scale it back once they realise it's too much.
They were advertising for a loot specialist to help them design how the loot should work. Until they hire that person and they have had a chance to do the analysis they can't just be dabbling themselves without potentially messing things up.
Personally I'm perfectly happy with the loot frequency. I get a few pieces a week and I'm constantly improving my javelins because of it. So it already hits the right balance for me.

I get it, that does make sense. I stopped playing so I could start The Division 2 and play Borderlands The Pre-Sequel. I actually finished the story for Anthem awhile back but have only made it, I think, to level 19 or 20. Will I be able to play the new strongholds or do I need to level up more? I really want the game to be successful and they have to figure it out before some people will come back. To me the game is really fun and frustrating with all the bugs it has. I'll keep rotating it with my other games but this seriously feels exactly how Destiny 2 and The Division felt at their launch. They both grew out of it so we'll have to see if Anthem does the same.

But mgt did not want to hear about Division 2 from their rank and file. So growing up is difficult, unless Bio changed their mind and is actively looking at solutions from other games.
Anyway, Bio posted a position for a "loot specialist". So, we'll see something down the road.... "soon".

I still don't understand why they just don't up the loot drops. It's an easy fix that everyone seems to want.

I still don't understand why they just don't up the loot drops. It's an easy fix that everyone seems to want. I'm right there with ya, bruh. I reckon their answer would be: "because then there would be no need to grind and play the game for a long time". But the playerbase is bleeding out as it is, so... yeah :/ The way I see it, the best (and most unlikely) case scenario would be that they wait a month, do a big update with a lot of fixes and new missions etc, and increase the loot drops with it, until they redo loot. I'm foolhardy

I'm not grinding out SH runs (or any really) but so far every run through has gained me one Lego. With one time an unprecedented three in one run. But yeah RNG Otherwise I get one every couple of days at best. I understand why they don't want to increase the drop rate. However given the chances of the inscriptions being generally trash we're not likely to get a full optimised Lego pool in the short term regardless.

New content is not going to help if people aren't around to play it. New content also won't matter if the loot isn't fixed.
The novelty of Sunken is going to wear off pretty quickly if people still feel they're getting crappy loot. The new stronghold is not going to entice people to come back and start playing the game if loot was their issue for quitting. Then you will have those who turn the game on just to run the new dungeon a few times, and then will just stop playing again. Because the new dungeon is just another place where you're getting no loot.
They just need admit they fucked up the loot system, say they're upping to drops for the people who are sticking with the game, and then when new content comes out they need to just have new items. They put a job req out for a item creator as well. So even if people get everything it won't matter because they'll be new items with the new content. Then just say now that we have the game back on track we're instituting a new loot system, which will be whatever the person they hired designed.
I don't know how you release new content without new items that are specific to that content that will make players want to play it past just wanting to see the new stronghold.

It will be at minimum 6 months to Anthem's loot 2.0. Have they even filled the position? Even if they have, it would take a number of weeks for the new person to even get acclimated to the systems that are in place currently much less re-design, re-write and test the new system. I can't think that fruits of this hiring would be able to manifest any sooner.
I can't imagine how terrible that job would be especially considering how bad things appear to be at Bioware. Who in their right mind would want to jump into this mess? Anthem has been reduced to a meme and that will only get worse as the game drags on.

Every since they came out with "Sunken Cell" I've thought there's some type of reference to Destiny's (1st game) "Sunless Cell" strike? One of Destiny's most fun strikes IMHO. Both have a big-ass dude boss at the end.

Hm... There was a brief roumor about a re-booted Anthem in 2020 in a REDDIT thread. With a floundering player base and the subsequent matchmaking difficulties it's not inconceivable that Bio would be thinking about a re-boot. Certes, the current game is unsustainable, imo. A revamp of the game makes some sense. The problem is who will stick around for the reboot, besides the die-hards? will EA market Anthem II ?
Let's take a look at this poll, currently at 21 votes. Why even the most ardent fans can't be bothered to vote.
How long did EA wait until they pulled the plug on Andromeda? ... three months? Will we get six? If we will get Anthem II then I propose that Anthem I will be placed on life support.

Although the article has been denied (for whatever that's worth), what exactly did they mean by reboot?
