They'd be pretty nuts to do such a thing. To take an established IP and basically gut one of the core experiences of the game to mimic that of a basic looter shooter would be met with plenty of venom and hatred (some from me). I just don't see them doing that unless they're actively trying to destroy everything.
Yes, we all want that, even me. But, my understanding is that DA4 is a live service game. This means minimal content at launch. "Minimal" at this time is undefined but I don't expect a full blown aRPG.... On the other hand, Anthem shows what happens with a skeleton story... players will finish the main arc in no time. If Bio is smart and I hope they are, they will give us a full blown aRPG as a core design.
We don't really know what DA4 will really be. A "live service" would probably not the be the same as the GaaS model they aimed for with Anthem. I can say this: if Dragon Age goes the route of game as a service, feeding content over time rather than giving a full base campaign, then that fucker is dead to me.

So, are they really going to pull the plug on a game few months after the release, for the second time in a row? Way to ensure the loyalty of their new coustomers after recovering the old ones, lol Where did you hear that? Here in this topic? Aren't (some) people implying that?

Live service typically means sustained support that isn't just limited to DLC's. As an example, AC:Odyssey would be an example of a live service game since it introduces new content, gear, story elements, and store items on a monthly basis. To a lesser extent, this would also be true of Monster Hunter World, as it also featured live elements during its first year of release (ex. Kulve Taroth). Understand that me saying this isn't meant to alleviate fears or skepticism. I think with both Andromeda and Anthem, people are right to be highly skeptical of the future BioWare titles (myself included). However, there are games that do live service elements in a pretty even-handed way, offering up a good amount of content on the onset. This conversation is actually why I made a thread poll about what people feel the ideal critical path (main campaign) should be for the next Dragon Age. From what I've seen, based on player responses, a good portion of the community would prefer a more concise 30-40 campaign with significantly more replayability, than an extended 40+ hours campaign that overstays its welcome. If the campaign for DA4 isn't 40+ hours, do people entail that to mean that live service gutted the game? Me personally, I'm just in wait and see mode. I feel justified in my position not purchasing Anthem (though I did rent it), and I also want to see how reviews before getting DA4. There's no telling how it will turn out, or what live service will mean for it. It might just be what DA:I ended up being (separate SP and MP modes), but with sustained content for both modes. Who knows at this point.

You mean like Andromeda? I'm still waiting for the Quarian Ark. And no, some damn book doesn't count. Technically they didn't promise any DLC's for Andromeda, but yeah, it still was a disappointment. They sure as hell teased them. Like, there was obvious DLC-bait. Still waiting for the follow-through, another reboot (even a 'soft' one like Andromeda) probably wouldn't go over well.

Regardless, online gaming feels more like a Austin studio thing so i wouldn't be surprised if they are prepared in advance to take over, if they have the manpower that is.
Almost whatever they do will be used as an excuse by haters though (of course fanboys are as bad). all that said, based on EA's history toward failure, Bioware needs a win badly so they should go all out for their next project if its not too late already, but who knows.

I am sorry that EA and Bioware has such a brilliant track-record at this point in time. I almost forget that there is absolutely no reason to be skeptical and even hateful towards EA-Bioware in recent times.

Maybe the online multiplayer studio was the best place for an online multiplayer game to begin with? IDK tho.
