The isometric camera view for the console version. That should definitely make a return.

- many mentioned the dragon fights, it was indeed cool, though few points to improve:
- varied giant bosses, not just high dragons (like cetus for example).
- different mechanics for different fights.

I loved the tarot card aesthetic, was never a fan of the party selection screens in the previous games.

Off the top of my head: * Liked having racial options for the protagonist.- Liked that a LOT. (Qunari FTW! ) * The Character Creator was extremely good, I'd absolutely love to have it return in this format and depth. (With a bodyweight slider goddammit!!) * 2 voice options for the protagonist was a godsend. Want that back as well! * I liked the mounts even though they were kind of limited. They should return, but bigger and better. * The Companion Agree/Disagree system worked well, needs to be implemented in the next installment. * The armor designs were really good, good balance between fantasy and realism - definitely want to see that style return.

I will state up front that I dislike collectibles. But the idea that the collectible Picture squares could decorate the main hall made it the only appealing collectable to me. So if we are to have them again, I approve of the display idea.
If during Varric's card game, a mention of your alcohol collection was made if you had reached 75% collected would have been enough to entice me once or twice as well. for example. So... I liked the feedback of the collectiables outside of a checkmark list.

That said, I can get behind having collectibles being in the game if they provide tangible narrative or aesthetic presence. Maybe unlocking an entire collection of an item rewards you with a unique cutscene or lore that offers a surprising story element that players weren't expecting.

I think for me, I liked the nuances of the Dialogue wheel. You had options that were respective to your characters background, their race, what inquisition perks you chose, and - though limited - prior experiences. I will admit, however, that there are limitations to such a system. The biggest one being that you don't get to have the full line that your character will speak on screen. I would like to see this expanded. I want skill perks that let you use things like these. And, to be clear, using all of them wouldn't necessarily be positive... Example: Elven Lore. Elves get it for free, but other races would spend a skill point in order to get it. If you use it with Dalish, you will usually get something good. But if you use it on humans, especially powerful humans, they hate it.

It could be nice in this way to have like a Dalish companion and them just disapproving of every time you offer some lore tidbit.

I enjoyed the character creator, but it could always be improved. But above all else I appreciate the racial selection and the additional dialogue options specific to that race.
Another thing I greatly enjoyed was the crafting. So many designs and stat options! And each companion had thier own unique style too! It was good before, but the dye table and the golden nug made it even better. Hopefully this all transfers over to the base game for DA4.

I did quite like the Perks/Influence system. I like the idea that there's a second type of XP that you can earn and which you can put into Perks to enhance your character, both tactically and in conversation.
I do acknowledge that some of the Perks were useless, particularly the ones that let you stay on your mount for longer while taking damage. But I think the basic idea was really good, and I hope they bring it back.

I really appreciate the playable races, especially the addition of the qunari.
Getting to choose a voice track was really nice.
The Inquisitor's lines were written and voiced in a way that provided a lot more player control over the personality, character, and motives.
The characterizations and VAs were stellar as always.
I generally liked the mounts (but would like them better if I could ride past hostile wildlife...).
I'm happy with the ambient (non-cutscene) dialogues, and the ability to exit them at anytime. I'll always champion MOAR dialogue over some "every dialogue must be in a cutscene" rule.

Companions commenting on your specialization was really nice, too.
I love the reactivity to things like that, as well as your race, background, etc. Makes you feel less like you're playing a big blank blob of a character and more like you could be an actual person who exists in Thedas.

One more to add:
The Golden Nug, or some kind of NG+ feature. Don't make me pray to RNGesus on follow-up runs, for stuff I already lucked out on for my first run.

1) Variety of emotional dialogue options: stoic, passionate, confused, approving, etc.
2) Background-specific dialogue options. Could use more of that, in fact.
3) The ability to interject into companion banter
4) Upgradable/customizable home base. Again, could use more of that
5) Exclusive content: In Hushed Whispers/Champions of the Just and the followup quests. More please!

Alternatively, offer all schematics for actual sale not possible sale, or have them unlock automatically by level like in MEA. There are other benefits to NG+/Golden Nug, but yes, for schematics, I would have preferred guaranteed drops or the MEA approach. Though, IIRC, wasn't there a dude in Val Royeaux you could buy all the schematics you hadn't rolled from?

ME:A had a big problem with loot being worthless; no sense importing that to DA. In any game where crafted gear far outstrips anything you can loot, loot is worthless. DAI was no exception. For loot to be meaningful and worth the effort of its acquisition, it needs to be actually unique, not just a purple item with a unique name. It needs to be something that provides a perk unavailable elsewhere, especially through crafting. And if it levels with you, all the better, so it doesn't become useless later on. That was the best part of the DA2 item packs.

ME:A had a big problem with loot being worthless; no sense importing that to DA. IIRC, you could break it down into component materials and mods. Or sell it to buy other stuff. A couple of possible improvements: -- Including research points/schematics when you break down new/higher level stuff for the first time. -- Allow gear crafting for companions, which MEA did not do.
