Do you guys think that the murder knife only makes sense for a rogue? Would different class specific abilities and features like in Inquisition? Where Mages used Veilfire, Warriors could kick down walls and Rogues pick locks. But for a more dialogue based class specific events.

It's not mean perfect dagger skill (while absolutely in character, if an apostate mercenary able to handle the blades). By the way, in the Inquisition out mage used broadsword to execute Erimond, not any magic. Son of Dorn Good, because I'm tired of that "the greatest pleasure to murderknife Anders". Fucking boring and annoying. Good day you too. By the way: murderknife for LI: I would prefer not. Especially because of Anders judgement scene was just cold? Not. Worse. So: probably much better if they wouldn't force that.

One thing I liked about a lot of Bull's armors is that in addition to whatever huge 2H weapon he's equipped with, he's also carrying two daggers on his hip (and probably loads of other weapons). When you get into fights as often as our protagonists do, it makes sense that they'd be carrying more than their primary weapon.

Where Mages used Veilfire, Warriors could kick down walls and Rogues pick locks. But for a more dialogue based class specific events. Successful murder knife use should be based on a stat comparison instead of being automatically successful, like the attacker's speed/agility vs the target's reaction/alertness plus potential situational modifiers like surprise, already existing tension and distrust, etc. Depending on the difference, the murder knife attempt is elegantly successful, requires some struggle, is successfully defended against, or reversed against the attacker. Especially pissed off or treacherous NPCs should be able to attempt the same against the protagonist. Gives conversations some extra spice. Won't happen of course since it would require a game with meaningful stats.

How many people can say they knocked big boy Galactus on his ass? 😛 pft, in the cartoon, and he had help. come on, squirrel girl and silver surfer each defeated him alone. even the thing actually managed to pull a king david on galactus arse (well, head) by throwing himself at him using a slingshot. danny ketch, give me a break.

Does anyone aside from the Player character utilise the murder knife, successfully or otherwise? isabela in dragon age 2 throw her dagger on one of hayder's soldiers. also this in inquisition: Zevran also throws the murder knife in DA2.

The murder knife should be successful based only on the will to use it. Otherwise, it's just a knife.
Insert gratuitous Crocodile Dundee reference here.

this thread has been around for a bit over than 3 weeks and yet no one brought this one on yet? just so you know, you all been a disappointment to me. It just simple cruel. Cruelty for cruelty – does not make sense. Not even fun. But of course, someone like to play just a pure evil character. The "murder knife" can give + RP possibilities, so yes, I would like if they bring back it, but I'm never tempted to play a character who just cruel for the cruelty.

What about murder ARROWS? What about murder staff? Use it as a spear. If the character is close to a wall, could be stuck to the wall. The main character can make a comment about that. Like stick around or just hanging around.
How about the murder shield? The main character throws his/her shield like a frisbee decapitating a character.
