Yes and no. I don't have a problem with more character deaths, but there needs to be consequences for it in the future for I don't want a repeat of what happened with Mass Effect. If you pick someone to live or die they are gone from all sequels so if you are attached to those characters they won't return, I don't want a Mass Effect 3 where they made almost all the returning characters into inconsequential because they might have died in Mass Effect 2 and not to mention all the cries of frustration in Mass Effect 2 where Kaiden and Ashley were a short cameo.
If BioWare cannot or won't write them out of the game for one reason or another I don't want to see any more character deaths.

Kill them all! Pass out the murder knives and let everyone have a go at each other.
Seriously though, only do it if it makes sense for the story.

I played ME2 blind, and later discovered that the suicide mission's success, and squamates' fates were tied to my past decisions and loved it for that reason alone. If a companion's fate were determined by the player's past choices like the previously mentioned i wouldn't mind. The Suicide Mission was cool but after the first time. It feels like why would I make the choice what leads ton death. Unless you want to see what happens. Nope. Generally dislike unavoidable deaths. Most times they feel horribly contrived. Have no issue with death as consequence of choice or even virmire type scenario. But the Virmire thing is unavailable. I loved the suicide mission and it’s interaction with loyalty/choices and potential for casualties. In virmire I still have choice. If I don’t want kaidan to die etc it’s avoidable.

It’s a cop out, but my answer will always be...it it makes sense, then sure! I suppose the real question is whether you object to such a thing on principle? My answer is no, but Bioware have a history of doing this the right way and the wrong way.
