Ha, minor, but predictable plot twist that any Bioware fan would appreciate...or be tired of The protagonist heritage is not what we are initially told. We are not the child of the De Sardets and our father's (that we never met or at least don't remember) paintings were altered to keep the illusion that we look more like him. Sadly I learned all this by talking to that former teacher /advisor during sone other missions. I had no idea where any of that came from. I think they assumed I’d be further down the main storyline at this point. You went lumberjacking and mining?

Someone knows quests to raise relationship with the Nauts? I think I didn’t get a single quest for them, and not even a main quest gave me a single point.
And for that matter, I’m also still suspicious with the Bridge Alliance.

Same for the Bridge Alliance and Theleme. I suspect there is more to come down the main story. However it probably will mean we have to choose. Which won't be a bad thing. I have my mind set up

I haven't left New Serene yet.
1. Super pleased with the instaneous inter city fast travel.
2. With Vasco and two Sailor Suits, we got in to mark the crates like we were just a couple of Naut's. Almost makes it too easy.
3. Loving Charisma so much! How they change their tunes with a couple sweet words 😆
Pulling a DA2 and trying to think about who I bring where. Vasco said nothing of infiltrating the Naut's. Siora hasn't said anything about my getting the Native merchant a patent either

*Google's how to change party* Oh. That was simple 🤦
*Google's how to get more ammo after blacksmith won't craft or sell*
Sigh. Need more science to make my own? Got one in science and one in charisma
Is there no other way to get ammo? Random find or self craft?

Got one in science and one in charisma Is there no other way to get ammo? Random find or self craft? Most merchants sell little bits of ammo. But if you already have a point in Science, take an armor chest piece and make the blacksmith craft a mod on it with +1 Science. Then you can craft your own ammo by equipping the suit when you are at a crafting table. Btw, you won't need to put another point in Science. With a chest piece and Aphra's friendship bonus (while in your party) you will have +2 points to the one you already have for the max of +3.

I am normally a parry expert after years of AC but I can't get the timing at all in this game and have given up. How? It's easier to parry in GreedFall than previous games I played unless you can keep the "block" up all the time. It's pretty similar to TW3, with the major difference that getting a riposte is easier and enemies can knock you down in GreedFall depending on your balance stat (but if you parry it, you don't take damage even if you fall on your ass). The hardest thing to block are guns and magic... When I did the merchant quest that send you in the arena, I kept getting knockback by the monsters, but I didn't lose a single point of HP in the whole fight (I'm not always that good though). I think the hardest part of the combat is getting used to all the stuff it covers: - light dodge - double dodge (roll or lightning dash if you have the prerequisites) - alternate attack (blade: kick, heavy: power attack, ring: shadow impact) - parry - consumables (gun, potions, traps/bombs/flasks) I remapped it to "space bar" from RMB I think I wonder if it isn't working because of that!!! Will re-map it today and see if it works better or whether it's just me!!!! I agree re there being almost too many things but I just decided to concentrate o Parrying and forgetting about dodge, I had mastered kick but then got a blunt weapon that was far superior to my sword and it wont let you kick with it!!!! I got to level 4 in the arena challenge without any trouble but L5 I attempted about 4 times and couldn't quite get there.

Constantin has an absolutely amazing voice actor. That guy sells all the scenes he is in and the writer really gave him a lot of range to work with. Just wanted to share
In other news, a "Dorian" ratted out a "Blackwall". And why do I think I am stumbling on a Teagan as well...

Feel like Vasco is really throwing his personal quest at me in fast succession. Seems a bit too much for a gent I've dealt with as a player only a few hours, I guess De Sardet has spent months with him.
Anyway, run out of local side quests so off to Hikmet.
Edit add: oh ya. Totally got the Gryphon Cape. 💁

I'm starting to suspect some mission gates aren't working correctly. Wondering that myself. I've ignored main quest everything, stayed in New Serene just doing side quests. Got lots of Vasco stuff even though I think they've technically only been in Serene a week based on day night cycles. Only just left a bit ago because I finally ran out of stuff In New Serene to do, and went to Himtet both for main quest and to continue the Vasco personal quest. So I introduced myself to the Governor of Himtet, walk out the door Walk direct to the D'Arcy quest marker and Bam, it's done. Vasco has made peace with his Naut Identity and can live a clean life now.
I remember things being more gated in Technomancer so it was parcelled out a lot more. Medium stretches where companions had nothing to say.

There is a lots of stairs in San Matheus. I've done a lots of stuff today. Finished some things around Hikmet (talked to governor, did some shopping and side quests), then went to Siora's village and dealt with the whole thing there. After that, I reached San Matheus and...Inquisitor Aloysius sure has a way with people. I also encountered Petrus and I wasn't expecting that background. He also said something weird. Then I went back to my local residence and there was a letter waiting for me. De Sardet sure is popular. Kurt is now using a Witcher long sword (after upgrade, it looks like the classic silver blade of Geralt). Siora has nice native garbs and Vasco wants to talk to me. I was also surprised to see the contract boards...I have to kill poor little foxes : ( How? It's easier to parry in GreedFall than previous games I played unless you can keep the "block" up all the time. It's pretty similar to TW3, with the major difference that getting a riposte is easier and enemies can knock you down in GreedFall depending on your balance stat (but if you parry it, you don't take damage even if you fall on your ass). I mentioned it before, but the "dogde" in the control keymapping isn't "dodge". It's parry. Dodge in combat use the sprint key. I remapped sprint to space and it works well.

Finished the game, but the only side quest I had left was bugged. I thought the game was good but I’m sad there’ll be no DLC.

And for that matter, I’m also still suspicious with the Bridge Alliance. Uuuhhh I think I personally did other side quests, to the coin guard especially, and at one point I was just directed to the Admiral in the port where I got a slew of quests to do. Just keep doing ALL the side quest stuff you can get your hands on, talk to the faction '' leaders '' or quest givers every time you progress the main quest, and eventually you'll get something to do. And in generally don't go against the Nauts in other side quests, but I don't think there were many times you could net negative affection to Nauts. Could be wrong though, since I generally tried to please everyone and I maxed intuition and charisma as quick as possible. Most factions have one big quest/storyline that after completing it, you can get to '' friendly '' affection with them.

my outfit was a Naut chestpiece with Native boots and gloves... Genes, amirite? I am at a point in the story where several quests started pitting the factions against each other. Maybe I should find a diplomatic solution or something, but I just decided to keep supporting a faction and now I am at a "Suspicious" level again with all, but two

They kept complaining we were blue-blood which was hilarious considering I had Siora and Vasco in the party at the time...who are a native and a Naut. I doubt those bandits know these characters's backgrounds.
