I finished all companions quests and i thought they were all pretty good and well connected with the main story. I liked how Kurt, Siora and Petrus quests only progress when we advance in the main quest in opposition to Vasco and Aphra quests where you can do all the quests in a row. Regarding the last Petrus quest (story spoilers ahead): so the old fox not only knew your native mother before she died but was also in love with her ? Also it was in Petrus quest that my female De Sartet was refered as a man, a bug that a lot of people are reporting as happening a lot in the game but that i`ve been lucky, as so far it only happened to me once and in this quest (story spoiler warning): her native aunt says that she was really glad that her sister`s son returned to the island

I reached the point of no return and now I’m waiting for a guide for the professor’s footsteps quests. I’m only missing one single journal, vedemen, and I refuse to complete the game until then.

I had one sentence refer to me as a "he" in-between two sentences going with "she" in the same conversation at some point.

At least it's not as impactful as when Canderous talked to my female Revan (first ever KOTOR run, pre revelation) about Revan as "he" and "him". That totally threw me in another direction with my suspicions about the plot twist

Finally got the friendly status with the Bridge Alliance, that was a hard one to get. At this point my status are friendly with everyone except with the Coin guard that are only at Nice.

I am quite ahead with the game and didn't figure out you have to go back to the Alliance governor to tell him about what you did with all his tasks (there was no quest indicator). So when a main quest sent me to him, we had a real long conversation But I think I moved way too far with the main story and one of the follow up side quests is now bugged for me. But at least I got to Nice at last.

I'm like 16 hours in and apparently taking my sweet time. I believe I'm level 12 when I stopped. I looked into the Bridge Alliance Caravans being attacked on their way to Hemket. I was kinda bothered that I was trying to reach the natives to discuss what they were doing only to have to slaughter various native mooks on the way to get to them. I had Siora in the party, I look like a native apparently, what's up with that. But whatevs, I arrive to the leader, big long chat, and then I'm hit with the choice of:
Attack them Don't Attack Them
This was frustrating, I feel like there must have been some hidden third option. I went with -Not- attacking them. The Congregation currently is allies with the Bridge Alliance but would not condone what I suspect as live human testing of the natives who are marked by the Island Magic (I don't understand quite what the mark means yet). At the same time, I've been tasked with making allies with the Natives. This appeared to me an issue between the B.A. And the Natives and therefore, outside of Congregation business-- especially with it being at odds with the goal of making nice with natives, as per directed by De Sardet's Cousin.
Feeling like the missing third option was somehow because I hadn't done any of Siora's stuff, I went off to do Siora's stuff. I told her not to torture the wounded soldier, although I didn't like the fact that I had to call her names by choosing that option. Simply a call to compassion would have been enough. I liked the weird Lore Painting on the Ruins. I have suspicions about STUFF but also it gave me a HZD vibe.
Then I got killed by something I can't remember and ended for, maybe, the day.

Yeah, it's smart to talk to the faction leaders it seems. On the bright side - the quest fixed itself after I did the main quest thing in the same area. Got to Friendly with the Alliance...and, boy, how short it lasted... Here I thought the religious zealots will be annoying, but I swear there isn't a worse backstabbing, traitorous bunch of Poindexters than the Bridge. What happened, nerds? Taking it back on the world because people stole your lunch money in school?

Here I go again, picked up a forgotten little side quest to do before continuing the main story and BAM, secret labs, inhumane experiments and now a sweet court trial. With investigation and everything! Go, go team funny hat lawyers! (Sorry, out of bunny ears)
Unrelated, but we were asked not to desecrate a body while doing an autopsy...Pshhhh, Siora, wtf... Is it the Native way or something?
And a maybe spoilery vista from the main story.

Siora! Why are you displeased with me? It was all Aphra's idea, not mine. *point vigorously at Aphra* I only have on faction at Friendly: the Natives, but Siora only find me "nice". That girl is demanding. edit: Puzzles! I love puzzles. Also, I have the impression that everyone is trying to get me killed? Even bandits seems to zero on my party from far away. I know the cape with gold trim, fancy hat, gold trimmed weapons and awesome looking armor makes it looks like I'm rich, but no...pretty things are expensive you know. I'm starting to wonder how doing certain quests without Siora pan out, you probably end up never learning about a bunch of lore related things. And her "calling us naive, from someone who worship a lamp" to Petrus was awesome, he couldn't even find the words to defend himself. Also, am I weird to like the fact that 90% of the quest have like no forced combat? Hell, I still need to really try the arena.

I learned in the subreddit that you gain reputation with the Congregation with side quests for other factions and I never gained or lost a single point with them. Tsc I’m still missing 1 journal entry for vedemen, and I’m starting to believe this that’s glitched.

I finally found all notes and went ahead to the end. It was a bit weak, especially considering so many great quests and side quests leading into it. The final narration was a nice closure, though. I got the most perfect ending with everyone working together. I’ll just headcannon one part: my De Sardey is governing the tribe besides Siora

Interesting. I know I've lost points with the Congregation a few times and found it hilarious because De Sardet is of that Faction. It definitely happened when (when in tutorial city, Serene) I put pressure on the Fontaine's to give their kid back (the cabin boy). Guess the nobles don't appreciate being pushed.

Hmm, maybe I should rephrase, because I don't mean the option to lie through dialogue, but (trying to stay spoiler free as much as I can), most of it is - you just try to keep the "dirty laundry/dangerous truths" of the other factions out of the open, which sometimes means - including from the faction itself.

Finished the game Bit sad it had to end, really enjoyed the journey, even when it was getting a tad slow on occasions (well, not everyone can be KOTOR). Took 50 hours, I think I did every quest, except some board tasks and the professor's notes. Of course it had to end with the Spiders's trademark final half hour They are not ready to give up on it it seems. This game is miles ahead of everything else they did and deserves to be successful and apparently both critics and players are liking it, judging by the Metacritic (no vast difference for once between both scores, always a positive sign) and the Steam scores. Even with all it's faults the game is a very good story driven RPG (and at last not an isometric one, I have a hard time enjoying these) where stat builds matter and the world reacts quite a few times to your Reputation (I mean in most Bioware games you could be an asshole to everyone and they barely recognized it down the road, if at all). As far as non-isometric AA RPGs are concerned, Greedfall is easily at the top for me. It kept the chores to a good minimum, had engaging story (not amazing, but engaging) and a pretty good pace. Also stat checks and story driven side quests - oh, Maker, I want more of this! Come on, Spiders, keep these quality jumps and if not the next, then the game after can be a true all time classic. Here is to hoping their new publisher provides good budgets.
Combat was actually fun for me most of the time, which is surprising, considering the previous Spiders games where I hated almost every encounter after midgame. Here it's the opposite - it starts slow and the further you level, the more fun it gets to use new toys.
I just checked the global achievements, Kurt gets the least love, Aphra just a bit more, while Siora leads with Vasco just bit behind her...Not really surprising
And in the Steam forums there are already the topics about "why is that NPC black, why the game has such race diversity, why is it such a leftist propaganda", etc... All of the old silly topics that criticized the Bioware games too... Well, that settles it, Spiders made it to the big leagues!
I am looking forward to my next PT, which is also not something I did with previous Spiders games.

I finished the game , it took me 39 hours and i reached level 35. I think i got a good ending, and that last scenes were a bit emotional. The only side quest i didn`t do was the professor notes. Overall i quite enjoyed the game, it had an interesting story that got me hooked since the beginning, good side quests and interesting companions.
