So I'm beating DA: Awakening (as I said I'm a rookie) and after some research I found out that I can't import my Warden who did the ultimate sacrifice, he miraculously is resurrected which I read was Bioware fault (I think it was a different team who made the expansion, I don't really know)... Sooooooo here go my questions, my canon is Alistair as only King, Loghain is dead, my dear Warden is dead, befriended with everybody, stayed with the mages... I read that the world state if you make a new Orlesian Warden-Commander is very similar to my canon so I don't really have a problem there. But, I have two doubts:
1- If my warden is dead and romanced with Alistair, does he mention something about it? I have only seen videos with the warden safe and sound.
2- If I want my canon to get import in DA2, can I import my DA:O save without the expansions (Awakening, Witch Hunt, etc) and without being my plot compromised?
Oh, and this video which let you play with your canon where the warden did the US and the new Orlesian Warden Commander, the only con is that the new warden has the same appearance
It's a messed up situation if I want my canon to stay solid (I think The Keep fixed this but I'm not sure), but I don't mind get rid of the expansions's plot if is neccesary, hence I think I'm going to play the new Orlesian Warden Commander route because the world state is almost identical to my canon... What do you guys think?

What do you guys think? Yes, Bioware have similar end, than yours, and I think, Alistair don't speak about his dead lover/wife, but I don't have this end in my Awakening playthrough, maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong. (I played Awakening only with my Hero(es) of Ferelden, but no one was Alistair's love. If this help, I saw, Anora worries about her prince, when meet with him – poor Anora, when I see this scene, I felt myself guilty..., I think: Alistair also worries about his wife.) In the Keep you can configure the right end, but the Keep only work with DA:I, not with DA2. To DA2 you need to put your save manually.

Oh I know that about the Keep. The thing is that the only option for Awakening to acknowledge what happened in the ultimate sacrifice is doing the new Orlesian Warden Commander route, and in this world state the Warden didn't romance anyone, so it doesn't really matter what I do, because the game screwed up that at first instance, am I right? I have seen videos about the Hero of Ferelden being married with puppy king and meeting him, but not the other way around! Thanks Catilina!

I the DA2 will matter, that which saved world you use, because of side quests/scenes (Nathaniel Howe, king Behlen, cured Werewolves), and who will you meet: king Alistair, warden Alistair or drunk Alistair. (And if Anders dead in Awakening, but Nathaniel don't, you got a funny scene with Anders and Nathaniel in DA2 – Anders will return in any case, just as Leliana, no matter, the warden killed her or not)

Hmm, I don't remember. Whatever I found was probably on Nexus.
Tekehu's booty I just finished a DA2 game with a US import. I played Awakening (skipped both GoA and WH) with the Orlesian Warden (there are quite a few dialogue differences, so I think it's worth it to play at least once) then used my last DAO save to import into DA2. The only thing missing was Nathaniel's quest in Act 3 (and Varric's final armor upgrade that is only available in that quest) but you do get a alternate quest in Act 2 instead. My US was Dalish, so Merrill had quite a bit to say about her.

Be warned with the Orlesian Warden - you are incredibly gimped at the start. Not only is all your awesome equipment gone, but your level is knocked down to 18 (my Dalish had been lvl 28) and have no extra stat padding (Fade points, books, etc). Good thing I was already playing on easy mode that game since my Origins Warden decided to have a no-mage party.

Their import process was borked at first, but if you just suffer through this anomaly in the DLC, it all works out in DA2, where the US warden is recognized and there's a different warden commander doing other things. That's what I do.
You could just simply import vanilla DAO into DA2, but then you lose Nathaniel's quest and can't get Varric's armor upgrade there. If that matters.

I was doing in the Keep my canon world for Inquisition, I did Yevhen's quest and not Nathaniel's because I imported my US save, and now I have to "headcanonize" my canon world because Awakening is a big mess in the importing area... U_U oh well, I prefer helping Nathaniel than Yevhen's sons. I'm planning to do another DA2 run with Awakening save to see Nathaniel. Bioware no more pls.

Or you can just RP that the character was possessed by a spirit and was like Justice and Leliana Anyway the logic of death for the merging of two souls is something that i have never understood, fantasy rules made in Gaider that don't have any logic behind it.

Thank you Gaider I believed in you and your plots even if they never made any sense. How rare is it in a computer game that there is actually a price to pay for the powers handed out like they're free candy on Halloween? As someone who always craves for a story to be something different from the usual powertrip without consequences or accountability, A good character death can be a very powerful storytelling experience. Some of the DLC post main campaign were very uhm for me,i dunno why my character was forced to play WH,Golem of Agmarrak ecc..
