I am proud of myself for managing to create two (out of six) female Inquisitors who didn't romance her. I keep saying I'll romance Blackwall or something but....... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I did Josie because I wanted to and Solas because people kept going on about it. Blackwall? Meh.

Blackwall gets it 'cause he's Sera's bff and he looks super cute dancing with a dorf. Also he's unpopular and I'm a hipster, no way am I going for Solas or Cullen.

Are you thinking of opening a restaurant that serves food on shields instead of plates? Cullen? No interest in his romance. I did Solas solely for the ties to the story...

Took me long enough, but finally finished the Seramance in Inquisition (with Cadash). Now to shatter the brass monkeys off the Hakkonites, make Sera regret wanting to know more about "dwarfy stuff" as we enter the Deep Roads, before celebrating our "retirement" with an Exalted Shindig.

Finally, a romance without tragedy... only cookies!

I did find the reference to "cookies" slightly incongruous given her Derbyshire accent: biscuits, surely. Albeit not arse biscuits. ew.

I just chalk it up to Sera being Fereldan and not English. Unusual speech conventions and all that.

Generally speaking I'm not actually all that bothered about slightly incongruous regionalisms (thankfully, since nobody likes a peasant! Edit: peasant? Pedant, but I guess peasant works well enough) and it could be said that cookies are somewhat different to biscuits as the latter are somewhat drier. Though for some reason I'm reminded of the rock cakes that every kid makes which typically have raisins in, a.k.a. rabbit poo. Er anyway.
The only time it really hurt was in DA2 where someone said "I'll write you" three times in quick succession which made me want to throw my computer out of the window in utter outrage. Though I'm not sure that's actually grammatically correct in any dialect (and I'm also very aware of any complaint about spelling or grammar being peppered with really obvious transgressions, so y'know... meh). And also "lootenant" when not spoken in an American accent.
But I am being incredibly pedantic and obnoxious because I am in a random mood, due to it being gone 4pm. Sera is awesome and honestly I don't care too much about cookies and butts. Sometimes her voice makes my ears bleed but she's awesome.

Yeah, cookies and biscuits are different enough Basic rule of thumb tends to be that cookies are round and biscuits are square. Didn't even know it were a North-Americanism until you mentioned it, there's a gurt load of regional dialects and accent in the UK that chuck proper grammar in the bin (as this sentence shows), figured it might have come from our lot. Wonder if stuff like this is from the writers (Americans/Canadians writing for Brits), the localisation team or the sound director's instructions for the VA's? Cause sometimes it does seem weird that Brit actors are saying things with a non-Brit pronounciation. (Unless you're from a military family and would be bollocked for saying it wrong, I've heard quite a few people using the US pronounciation before. "Left-tenant" doesn't flow as easily and does come across as extremely pompous sounding, even for us Brits)

I think both loo-tenant and leftenant sound silly, but then I have a degree in modern languages and no military affiliations.

Basic rule of thumb tends to be that cookies are round and biscuits are square. I dunno, for me, "biscuits" tend to mean digestives (or "suggestives" as my sister would call them) or Rich Tea, both of which are typically round. But American-style cookies are sort of a step towards cakeyness, which is why I mentioned the rock cakes, or possibly rock buns, I forget which now. But you do often see "fat" biscuits which are somewhat softer and often have e.g. chocolate chips and which are described in terms such as "Maryland style cookies". I would also mention "fat, lol", which I'm allowed to do as I have American types on both sides of my family tree. But I'm mostly just miffed because most biscuits and cookies rely on wheat flour and as much as I like them, wheat doesn't like me. Bah etc. "Left-tenant" doesn't flow as easily and does come across as extremely pompous sounding, even for us Brits) Sometimes the regional accents in the UK have a good reason for the sometimes bizarre grammar; and sometimes not. Either way, I'm slightly unhappy that my native Geordie accent has been largely diluted since leaving the area when I was 16, leaving me in the strange position where my former schoolfriends say I sound much the same as I ever did and the weirdos not from Northumbria say I don't sound noticeably northern. I'm pretty sure I can't be both at once! I guess the leftenant/lootenant/whatevs just comes down to what one is used to since the spelling is completely nonsensical anyway. In my case the former as I was in the Army, albeit briefly, and they tended to have Strong Opinions™ about that sort of thing. Similarly, addressing a sergeant as "sarge", which is advisable if one feels one's arse is a bit sore and could do with a nice massage from a standard issue boot. And also writing and actors: in the case of games and such I imagine the two are done without very much communication at all so it really depends on a mix of the writers' notes and the actors' interpretation and preferences, so DA2 I recall had a real mix of "lootenant" and "leftenant" amongst the various VAs, for example. What's more intriguing is rather moving away from video games but TV programmes where you'd think the actors might feed back to the writers stuff that is incongruous or otherwise out of character; maybe they do and are ignored, or maybe they don't because life's too short...

I remember that chart! Sera is probably closest to Chaotic Neutral with a little Neutral Butch thrown in. And just for fun, the other f/f LIs: Leliana - Lawfully Femme Isabela - Lawfully Butch Merrill - Chaotic Femme Josephine - Neutral Femme Bonus: Aveline is Lawfully Neutral 😎 I find it mildly hilarious that I think Bela fits best as Lawfully Butch when she is neither Lawful or Butch 🤔

Why am I frightened? Is it because I can see her trying to give everyone a reason to wear an eyepatch? Double peg legs? She's already freaking terrifying as a dual wielder with that chain hook ability in the poison tree. Hook an enemy and come rushing at them with a backflip.
