Hogwarts Legacy (Harry Potter universe game)

I tried to take an outfit with me that had all of the houses represented in the final battle. The gloves had Gryffindor red on the top, as well as they were the dragonhide herbologist's gloves. Which was appropriate cus siccing carnivorous cabbages and tentacula turrets on people was my go-to move. And then the coat had Slytherin green along the bottom. Then the deep blue of the astronomer's robes. And a house scarf. The Hufflepuff colors being relatively neutral allowed it to pull it all together rather well I think.

I got the house cup, too, for what it was worth. At least I like all my housemates, even if there only being 5 kids in the scene was underwhelming. lol

I am proud to say that I only had to watch a cheat guide for just one room in Herodiana's 2nd depulso puzzle course (the one by the sphinx). Really only half the room, cus I got the first step in that room done on my own. It turned out you didn't need to use all the pieces and it was honestly doing my head in. lol

Favorite side character was still Ominis, Natsai and Poppy tied for a close second. I love that those two are clearly buds who hang out with each other independently of me. We are a golden trio in my head till DLC or a sequel give me it irl. lol

Natsai, I especially liked. She really exemplified Gryffindor's traits by the end and I found myself admiring her. And I felt the closest to her friendship-wise b/c of the time spent with her, her friendly start, and just her personality, I think. Which is just my luck since she seems to be being the least talked about by fans. lol

Poppy is awesome, too, though. And I loved her backstory. I want to meet her Gran so bad. She's technically my character's roommate (not that the game did anything with that >_>) and I can safely say she's my favorite Hufflepuff among the several Puffs I liked. Hufflepuff has an embarrassment of riches in a lot of ways in this game.

Random headcanon, but I feel like, if Anne and Ominis (especially him cus yeesh his family ) need a place to stay in the summer, given everything, I'd ask Poppy and her Gran to take them in. Ominis and Poppy have very similar relationships to their families when you think about it. Except Ominis doesn't have a sane relative to take him in. And, in my game, he doesn't have Solomon or Sebastian anymore, either. >_> 


I dunno how to feel about Sebastian still. I turned him in and Ominis says in the final conversation that finding out Rookwood was the curse thrower instead of goblins just made Sebastian angrier at everything. I have seen the cutscene for when you don't turn Seb in, and he's reasonable and seems to find some calm with the revelation. Lets go of the anger at goblins, anyway. So, its a seemingly better outcome.

But... I just can't see myself letting him go with no consequences for killing Solomon.

The more I've thought about it, I feel certain turning him in is both the moral and the pragmatic decision. It comes down to his convo in the undercroft after Solomon's death for me, I think. If he'd approached it in a way that showed he owned what he did and felt he needed to atone, I'd be inclined to agree that his guilt is enough and I'd maybe let him go.

But he comes off as someone trying to run away from it, claiming he didn't mean it when AK literally requires you to mean it. He seemed like he didn't want the fallout of killing his uncle, the guilt of it-- I'll believe that. And I know he didn't start off any of our excursions with murder (of his uncle) in mind, but there's no denying he did want to kill his uncle when he did it. Otherwise it would not have worked. And the fact he's trying to mentally wriggle out of that when I talk to him told me no lesson was learnt. And if no lesson was learnt, he'd be as likely to do it again. It made him a danger in the future. Ironically, offering himself up for punishment would have likely led to me not turning him in.

Ultimately, I stand by my decision and see turning him in as my "canon". I just don't like that turning him in seems to lead to a worse mental state than letting him get away with it. For sequel purposes, I mean. Though they could just as easily let his anger cool as they could let a free Sebastian's arrogance doom him to repeat his errors in the future. So, writers will do what they want to get the character where they need him in the future. I'd be really interested to see stats on this decision, though.
