I think I found my grove with this restarted character. I'm punching people to "not death". It's technically none-lethal, as long as they don't fall from height like that poor tigerclaw lady a few minutes ago. You really need the Rush Brawler ability to not die right away...and use cover smartly too. I like "NCPD assault" stuff. I just did one where I basically assaulted a tiny Tiger Claw base on a rooftop and there was another where the guy assaulted ran off in a car when I grabbed the attention of the bad guys. I did a Gig that felt very DX-like, I had to find another way into an apartment because I didn't have enough Tech to unlock the door. Yeah, I've been smashing baddies with a baton. The thing that I noticed, is that enemies don't fire if you use the enemy you're beating up as cover. Whether that is working as intended is unknown, hard to say with enemy AI already janky. Also, enemies trip on there fallen brethren. LOL. I suppose with the current state of the game at release, I should mention that I'm playing on the One X.

I upgraded my cyberdeck and I saw that they don't offer the same features and bonuses. I got one with bonus for covert quickhacks as that is what I use the most. I also got +90 armor from a skin cyberware that I must have found as loot, because I sure didn't buy it. That basically double my armor value now. I also found a Ripperdoc who sold a legendary version of that: 200 armor. Now I'm keeping my eddies for the double jump, I just need 15k more. So 2-3 more small adventures before going for the bot in the main story.

The driving AI is basically non-existent. I tried to hijack a truck (main story, so predetermined path it follows). Of course it doesn't stop (ran me over the first try), so I parked my bike in front of it. The truck hit the bike - messed up it's pathfinding so bad, that it repeatedly ran over back and forth a guard NPC at the gate it had to enter. I watched with amazement for about 3-4 minutes, then moved away in order for the truck to reset and stop torturing the poor guard.

I can craft an armor mod (white quality) that costs nothing to make and gives 55 armor. When I noticed, it skyrocketed my armor rating, as I put it on every piece of gear. No idea where I get crafting schematics. I have the ability to craft epic quickhacks, but no schematics for even one basic quickhack. I just grabbed the cyberdeck with most slots. You get a Shock, you get a Burn, you get weapon malfunction, you get blinded and all of you get poisoned! But whoever I like the most, gets my latest Legendary special - Cyberpsychosis!

I have an issue. I can't decide between two cyberwares. There is a single leg slot and there two mods possible for it: - reinforced tendons (double jump) - fortified ankles (high jump) I tested both (using save/reloads). The fortified ankles allows you to jump higher than the double jump, but the double jump allow you to move farther horizontally. Kinda hard to decide which one would be more useful. I'm feeling higher jump might be better the way mission maps are made. Also, I managed to get a discount at a Ripperdoc, because I know he gets his stuff from Scavs (whom I kinda punched hard). I'm now Charles best client. Morals...in Night City. update: After more testing, double jump is smoother to use in combat situation.

I am getting used to the game and the bugs and i am beginning to enjoy Cyberpunk. I think my second playthrough will be much better as i am finding it hard to understand some of the abilities and what i should use.

ignoring reading anything at all besides the responses to my question lol, I just want opinions on this without reading the spoilers:p
So question: I've seen some reviews say crafting is pointless or not worth it so I'll ask you non review people what you think? Is crafting good in this game? Is it worth investing in? Or should I not and should I just sell for money and buy/upgrade things that way instead? I heard money is also hard to come by so it's another reason I'm asking because I know if you don't invest into crafting then you'll have more money to make however if crafting is worth it I might just do it.

Zero need for crafting so far and I am level 20. Can't see that changing. I got a few points there, played around with upgrades and such, but honestly it's pointless and needs tuning. Upgrading items is very expensive and you get great gear by looting anyway. Money are not hard to get, but they disappear fast if you upgrade yourself. It gets a bit grindy - chase side missions (they are kinda all the same), loot everything and everyone - sell.

I think CDP concept of none-lethal is a bit out of whack. See I have this tech pistol called Chaos and I can put a mod that make it none-lethal...except it take out people's head if I do headshots. I'm not even invested in handgun, that little thing is a real demon. It's like a mid-range pocket M-90 Indra. I finally got the flathead. Slightly annoyed that I had to use my shotgun against Royce, he just knock you down if you try to melee him and then stun-lock and shot you to death. But then there was weird thing in that room, I got stuck against the wall taking damage from nothing after the fight was over and I was looting stuff. It was weird. Oh and Netrunners are super annoying, re-enabling cameras all the time. Spoiler: you can still be in Meredith's good grace without using her money. Now I just need to get to SC 20 so I can install gorilla arms. I got plenty of money...so much loot to sell. I am moving easily around with it in all areas so far. Yeah, I did some more testing and double jump is better. Very effective with a melee build too, allow you to jump around the "battlefield" way more easily. Especially when you get some weird bug that cause sprinting to not work anymore.

Spoiler: you can still be in Meredith's good grace without using her money. I never saw her after I took her chip and only met the guy she was beating up as suspected traitor. He told me she is done for and he is back in charge. Maybe it was something I did 😇 Btw, there is an ocular implant mod that makes all your weapons non lethal, but headshots are not dealing more damage anymore.

Finished act 1, in like 15 hours, lol. Now Regina Jones wants to sell me cars. Aren't you an ex-media turned fixer lady? Is car saleswoman another side job of yours? Sure a crazy Del totaled my previous car, but that's not really a reason to push your oldies on me. V is also feeling not well. I think they put way too much foreboding elements in the intro and now it's just super bleak... I feeling like I'm playing someone with terminal cancer who created an imaginary friend to deal with it. I also have to go see so many people now. Or call them.

After the recent patch the stability of the One X version is much improved. Yay! Also, I tracked down [name redacted] with Judy. Judy and V are friends now. ^Its rodeo time! LOL. The car looks tough but it isn't! I was driving around with a NCPD vehicle doing police "work", I think the above were "Animals." Anyway, one gang member decided to crack a cop joke just as a police vehicle rolls up. Haha. Both my car and an enemy reinforcement vehicle did not survive. Also, the police siren is something else. Nothing like a club beat to pump the law up for some killing! I just picture bystanders and onlookers like this.

Leveling is pretty slow. Now at 10 moving to 11. Street cred is booming though. I'm also getting the hang of driving the car. The smaller cars are horrid. Too light and too responsive.
It's getting a bit grindy so I think I'll do the next step in main story; calling somebody up and doing something about a bot.

Wait till you go to other areas of the town and be greeted by new fixers. It's a "hi" and then an avalanche of "boy, do I have a ride to sell you!" missions. I guess the fixer work is just a side gig for car salesmen in this town.

And now I lost the ability to call my vehicles. No, it's not story related. Just exited a main quest deep in Act 2 and the call button is red while I roam around in the city.
Guess I'll try to buy a cheap ride and see if that fixes anything.

I think someone will have to do a price balancing mod because something doesn't make sense.
Trajectory analysis mod: $20 800 Crafting Spec for Trajectory analysis so you can craft it: $520 000
Oh and the respec thingy cost $100 000. Meh...should be cheaper.
