If the broker dlc was completed in ME2 and Javik and James are taken to Sur'Kesh, James will say "what the he** is that?" in reference to seeing the Yahg. Shepard will reply by saying "Ask Liara that sometime".
A few minutes later, Shepard will say "There goes the next Shadow Broker". Vega will reply by saying, "Now that's one mission I wish I could've seen".

@mike: Yeah, it's worth trying out different things  There's also some additional dialogue with Gavin Archer during Ex-Cerberus Scientists when Overlord was never played. I also enjoyed the dialogue between everyone on the geth dreadnought when Tali is dead or during Grissom when Jack is dead. |

archiveofourown.org/works/1814287This fanfiction. I die.  This one goes into extensive detail about Shepard's "grounding" and James being on patrol and making sure she didn't leave her detention. Of course it goes into Mass Effect 3 and even some of Paragon Lost. It's a must read for any fans of Vega who feel thwarted by the non-romance.  I mean, I'm definitely thwarted. A Garrus girl through and through.....but I would have loved a different romance for my different Sheps. My Paragon, Renegade, and Paragade were always Garrus.

One of the reasons I liked the FemShep/Vega pairing is because Shep has such a strong personality. It was nice to see someone that also had this strong personality. It could lead to sparks, but it also provided a certain balance in the relationship.
edit: but omg Citadel. i'm watching it now and i just....i'm actually embarrassed for FemShep. why BW y u no like me Bw.

Yeah, Shep must be single to have a shot with Vega, but it's still funny if you're in a romance with someone else because James has comments for them, something like "Am I making this too hard for you and XY?", and Shepard just brushes it off. It's great  To be honest that whole one night stand is pretty amazing if you play a completely fucked up Shepard and aim for some drama, and that scene with regret and everything fit so well there, but I hate it at the same time because people that have a normal and nice Shepard are basically screwed over. Had they only made Shep's words less... how to put it... gross, it could've turned out pretty good overall. I also saw that the most watched Youtube videos of the DLC content miss the scene where James flirts back, which is also pretty nice because it shows James is not actually pressured into doing this. Either way, it should've been handled way more classy than it was, so here's to hoping it never happens again. And yeees, I watched Paragon Lost, really liked it. It was after that that I had even more respect and love for James. It was tragic what happened there, it scarred him for life, yet he found a way out. It was really beautiful.

I really like him. I wished they could have explored his story more. After his little punch out with Shepard it's like done.
I feel like they planned for him to standout more but the game was so rushed...
I also don't understand why some people don't like him. A friend of mine call him a generic soldier.
