Now as a general rule I don't like a lot of my posts. I don't post a lot long posts anymore because it a lot out of me both mentally and physically and it takes a long time for me to write those kind of posts and in a lot of cases I'm also constantly re-editing them for many reasons. Also the number of message boards that I'm on I don't have the time to like every post of mine even if I wanted too.
TL;DR basically if it's a post that I'm personally proud of then yeah I'll like it and I don't see anything wrong with that. Now what and which posts of mine that I'm proud of and which ones that I actually liked that is my business.

It feels a bit of a redundant and unnecessary thing to do. Meaning on the whole I don't tend to write things I'm not going to be happy with anyway, I know that I like what I've written or else I wouldn't post it in the first place. Also not posting while consuming generous quantities of Scotch whisky and beer does reduce the risk of excessive online self validation.
