See, this is how I know you never actually read the article. FROM the article: "All of Keywords Studios’ unionized QA workers were laid off from the studio in late September after Dragon Age: Dreadwolf developer BioWare declined to continue its contract in August." It is literally the first paragraph in the article Did I notice any news articles regarding Bioware employee's last day. hmmm ... The article was entirely unnecessary, redundant, and unnewsworthy, given that the layoffs were announced in August. The employees' last day was superfluous. Polygon knowingly posted a clickbait headline of old news. Incorrect. If a business no longer wishes to hire a specific voice acting company for their game does that mean those voice actors no longer have a job at that voice acting company? Of course not. And there's many examples of this happening. Just because the contract between Keyword QAs and Bioware wasn't renewed doesn't mean the contract those QAs had with Keyword was always going to be terminated. It is a further development of the news we received in August. The news in August was about the relationship of those two companies, and the news in september about specific people's relationship with their agency. They could have very easily been sent out from Keyword to another company to do work there. There are a number of possibilities, one of which is those particular QAs were contracted specifically for the work at Bioware (Keyword is made up of full employees and also people they grab just to make up contracts), another possibility is after the contract between Keyword and Bioware ended nobody would enter into a contract with those QAs. In any case if you think this news was redundant then you obviously read too much into the news we received in August.

Another round of layoffs in canadian gaming studios. Along with Ubisoft and others it hits also EA Motive. Steven Cheung: "Well, pretty much my last day at Motive Studio. Had to say goodbye to the Team on site today, and it was bittersweet as it's an incredible team. Working together on Dead Space Remake was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me as a professional and a gamer and I'm very grateful for that. And shoutout to the BioWare team on Dragon Age 4 with whom I've worked for the past year! It feels like I was adopted by both teams aha See you in 2 weeks for the new step in my career as a VFX Artist!" www.linkedin.com/posts/steven-cheung-550956b9_well-pretty-much-my-last-day-at-motive-studio-activity-7120889914103066624-gzu9?trk=public_profile_like_viewJeez. Dreadwolf needs more not even less devs. But it kinda news for me and somewhat interesting that Motive (to be fair those devs are like former Bioware Montreal one) is or has been supporting Dreadwolf development aka besides Dead Space Remake and Iron Man they have room for it.

It's really sad that this is how we get to learn that EA Motive is supporting development of DA Dreadwolf.
I hope Cheung gets a new job quickly.
