man, i'm really digging fryda's voice. i'm so happy she's doing sara. I'm playing male ryder and looking forward to meeting my in game twin. I'm very interested to see how their dynamic will go. What role will the npc twin take? What personality would npc Sara have? Hopefully there will be some flirt options

Quick, what are your build plan for Sara, and what are your headcanons for how she learned those skills?
Personally, my Sara is going to be spending a lot of time with Vetra and peebee, so she's likely going tech heavy.
What about you guys?

What about you guys? my sara's going to go heavily into biotics i think! and i'm probably going to be taking vetra and liam with me a lot, since they're the two squadmates i'm most interested in. and since they seem to be tech/combat, it all works out great! i'll have to wait until the game comes out to think harder about headcanons, but if i can't romance her, it'll be nice to think of cora kinda mentoring my sara in biotics.

Don´t think that is too much to ask for considering they are after all two different characters.

Sad... aw i guess at this point we can hope that sara is at least IN the trailer, but jeez, one full cinematic trailer with your other protagonist doesn't seem like too much to ask for.

As someone who records a lot of cutscenes from BioWare games for drawing reference purposes, I can promise you right now if we don't get a cinematic Sara trailer, I'll remake one of the Scott ones from the ground up using footage of her if I have to.
So sick and tired of this; yes BioWare do better than most companies re: diversity, but it's 2017 and they're still advertising their game with a stubbly white guy. I don't have enough limbs to facepalm enough.

Why else would they not show sara in a trailer too? It really is ridiculous

Horizon zero dawn was a huge success and rightly so. It was a great game and the marketing was on point. There are other games with female characters as you said were great as well. I just don't understand why when you have a audience of both female and male games only show the male main character. I will play as both scott and sara but really, this kind of thing makes me so frustrated.

It really is beyond ridiculous. In my experience, so long as the protagonist is doing awesome stuff and the game looks amazing, people respond exactly the same. The only difference is, the game would actually stand out more in a sea of characters who look exactly the same as Scott.
Honestly it really baffles me that BioWare still haven't caught on to the fact that showing off how much control you have over how your character looks would actually help things. Literally every time they release a new game, there's comments from people asking if they can change how their character looks or if they can play as a woman. Hell, there's now loads of people who don't realise you can change your character's name in Andromeda.
I remember when ME2 was being advertised, and one video mentioned how you can create Shepard to be exactly how you want them - while the footage playing underneath that claim was of default male Shepard in the default armor. I totally get that the game needs an iconic face for marketing, but they really should capitalise on the fact you can play as anyone you want.
Someone gag me before I take up half the page :/

Someone gag me before I take up half the page :/ I understand your point of view. But today half of the gamers are women. Bioware is a pioneer studio in terms of parity the only one !!! From the beginning we know that there are two twins: Sara and Scott. But EA want to make their "beast" profitable and have certainly demanded of Bioware to put forward Scott. Money, money and still money. Unfortunately the managers of the studio are obliged to kneel before their great guru ... I denounce this and I will not stop. Women will always have to fight for a recognition credit in the video game universe ... Because some still see the female make food and stay at home as a good wife ... Sorry for my stupid english

I'll leave it here too: Well, I'm so pissed off that I. FUCKING. DID. IT. AGAIN #sorrynotsorry (I only counted the videos in which we see Scott/Sara's face. And even if they were numerically equal, the fact is Scott gets the cinematic trailers that are going to get way more exposure vs Sara getting the gameplay videos where we mostly see the back of her head and are only really going to appeal to people who actually watch those sort of things...
Like, video game trailers in movie theaters is very common these days, and it'll be a cinematic trailer with Scott that'll play there, not a 5-minute gameplay demo with the back of Sara's head.

It's sort of insulting that they keep trying to convince people they're equivalent. Seeing the character's face when they talk is what's important so I'm not sure why they think seeing Sara helmeted and running around not really saying much or just standing around in the menu is the same. Just looking at 'seeing the character talk' I would say Scott's 4K Tech Demo is about equivalent to the Sara Gameplay trailer (the one with Kadara), so otherwise Sara gets what? ~10 seconds in the "we made it" trailer and the little bit at the very start of the Peebee loyalty quest thing. Meanwhile Scott gets 2 full cinematic trailers and first 13 mins of the game plus various bits of him talking to NPCs.
So I'm not sure who they're trying to fool, unless they think Sara's facial animations are so bad they can't even show them and are just trying to hide it. Which would be worrisome.

It really is kinda pathetic that after 10 years of this franchise, they still try to deflect and justify this kind of stuff.
Like, people aren't asking for much. I know there's morons out there who would claim it is too much to ask for, but really, BioWare, does half the world's population honestly matter so little to you that you're still going to dismiss these claims every single time? They're not going to go away...

Hell, there's now loads of people who don't realise you can change your character's name in Andromeda. You can? I hoped that names are default... it's weird that people are constantly calling you "Pathfinder" or "Ryder". Or "brother", "sister", "son", "daughter", etc. Ah. I guess my PC's family won't remember their kid's/sibling's name once again...

I guess my PC's family won't remember their kid's/sibling's name once again... If you leave your character's name as Sara or Scott, characters will sometimes refer to you by your first name (this works even if you customise their face), however you can still change your Ryder's first name to whatever you want, and in that case people will instead refer to you by surname or title. Regardless, your sibling will always have their assigned first name, just so there's no confusion when anyone says 'Ryder'. Probably why there's been so much focus on those names in marketing - getting us used to the idea of either sibling also potentially being an NPC with their set first name.

I actually think what I missed most in regards to the marketing was more of saras involvement to the story. I wanted to her her voice more and see how she reacted to the squadmates. The fact is that once again, the male protagonist became the face of the game. I really hoped it would be diffrent this time seeing how they are two diffrent characters. And for those who say that it has been equal - The fact that all the trailers has featured scott, which is used in marketing may I add, should show that that is clearly not the case. Not all people watch gameplay trailers. I really liked and will play both but this is really disapointing. Still looking forword the game though...

You're absolutely right. They can claim they showed Sara a lot as much as they want, but in terms of meaningful content that actually let us connect with the character or see things from their perspective, it's all been Scott. I just can't get over how they think using Sara (usually in a helmet) to show off the combat system, while Scott actually gets to talk and emote, is even remotely fair.

I just can't get over how they think using Sara (usually in a helmet) to show off the combat system, while Scott actually gets to talk and emote, is even remotely fair. I don´t think its fair at all. In the beginning when we all found out they were siblings and that they would get equal screen time, I was thrilled. I mean being able to actually see a female character in the marketing campaign with equal represenation with the male counterpart this time, was something I really looked forward to. I am that kind of person that loves trailers. Its really what makes a game intriguing for me and I remember the epic trailers from the original thrilogy, they were really good. And they got me exited for the game. Around the the third game, when femshep got a trailer, was even better beacuse I had played through 2 games with her. I connected more to shepered as a caracter when I watched those. It became sentimental. Maybe its a preference thing but cinematic trailers for me have more mening than gameplay trailer does. Perhaps in the furture instalment will have more balens I hope.
