So we already have a best video games thread so I figured why not make one were we can post some of our favorite moments in video games So if you've experienced a video game moment that really stuck with you where we got angry, sad, happy or a combination of those I would love to know about it because there are some video games out there that certainly managed to leave a mark on me. Of course I'll start off with some of my favorite moments Infamous 2
So let's start this off with a very depressing one shall we
"Half as long, twice as bright"
The first time I went through Infamous 2 I went with the good ending because I figured that the good ending would eventually be the canon ending and I wanted to see how they handled it and am I glad I did.
Playing through the good ending and seeing how deeply Zeke cares for Cole (even in the ending itself) and then afterwards going through the evil route was heartwrenching. Zeke might not have always been there for Cole in infamous 1 and might not even have been the best friend back then but he sure as hell came through for him in Infamous 2. This (and the fact that he's the only character I really managed to like) made this ending so much more impactful than the good one.
Ar Nosruge Ode to an unborn star Oh Ion where to start with you. What makes this scene so powerful is how much build up there is to all of this. Even back in Nelico's genometrics we see how upset she gets when the player tries to get too close to her. We knew from that moment something heavy will eventually happen and it did. All her ugly emotions she has felt throughout her entire time spent away from earth is laid bare and it is so amazing to finally see something I've waited to see since reading the Ciel no Surge walkthrough. Her feelings are also very human and realistic which makes her entire situation even more sympathetic. The Witch's House A few years ago I never would have thought I would ever put a Horror RPG Maker game in a thread like this
I love this game, I really do. It honestly blew me away the first time away when I played it. I remember playing this game for the first time and when I realized what was going on I was really impressed. Despite The Witch's House only being a 1 hour and a half long game it manages to foreshadow the twist very well by short diary entries, other characters, the way "Viola" acts towards certain characters (the frog or the flowers), the envoriment and even the enemies.
A lot of people are angry at what Ellen did, and really no one could blame them but I can personally understand why she went so far when her life has been so hard for her. That doesn't justify her actions towards the only purely good person in the story but I can certainly see where she's coming from.
And finally a game I've only recently completed Fire Emblem 4 Genealogy of the holy war
A lot of people probably know that the older Fire Emblem games are hard and that they also didn't have the luxury of having characters who got killed in a chapter come back in the next one so you had to take a lot of care with these characters.
Now imagine that these characters you train, take care of and sometimes even reload the game for die in a story based event! And not just in a glorious battle but instead get backstabbed and brutally killed by meteo attacks. And that's not even mentioning the fact that your lord, Sigurd dies after seeing his long lost wife married to the man who kills him.
So those are some of my favorite emotional moments in video games. I would love to hear of some other moments that you felt were very memorable.

I'm not gonna post vids because I want people to play the games and experience them the way they were meant to but I will say this:
The Darkness- Jenny.
Other than that, the first time I played ME2's SM I was so pumped I finished at 5 in the morning, slept for two hours, went to work and didn't even feel it.

There's only two that stick out for me at the moment...
Vagrant Story - the mc meets the spirits of his murdered family, comes to terms with their loss, and says his final goodbye.
MGS4 - Big Boss' sendoff was one of only a few worthwhile scenes in the game. "This is good... isn't it?"

LOL Funny: the Fingergun fight in Tales From the Borderlands
Sad: Lee and Clem's final conversation in The Walking Dead Season One was already mentioned, so...How about The Nameless One's farewell at the end of Planescape: Torment (assuming the companions survive).
Angry: Encountering the village of Nipton and "chatting" with Vulpes Inculta in Fallout: New Vegas
Fear: Deus Ex: Human Revolution, choosing to stay and protect Malik during the Belltower ambush (followed by elation if you succeed)

Listening to your crew's recorded goodbyes at the end of Unreal II: The Awakening.

Blade Runner. There're various endings depending on player choices. One of them raised a giggle when Crystal Steele hinted that she's more than willing to be Roy's other half. Boy, did he look startle, hopeful and optimistic. Down boy, she'll eat you.

Steins Gate - Death of Kurisu
Persona 3 & 4 -- The ending for both games, they are both sad for different thematic reasons.
Metal Gear Solid 3 - Killing The Boss
Silent Hill 2 - The entire game is quite depressing and the endings emphasize on that even further.
Virtue's Last Reward - Luna's Ending (Although there are many more in this game)
Yakuza 1/Kiwami - Final Battle with Nishiki

The ending of The Wolf Among Us was a curveball I didn't see coming with Faith possibly being glamored as Narissa In Bastion saving Zulf was awesome the music and scene as you carry Zulf on your back is cool as hell, especially the way the Ura act towards you saving Zulf. The Forest Temple in Zelda is my first holy shit moment in gaming I think, it blew like 10-year-old me's mind. The Stone Tower (Majora's Mask), flipping upside down too was awesome as well but that whole temple is amazing. Beating Ornstein and Smough in Dark Souls felt so damn satisfying. I spent probably three or four hours on that boss fight. The Witcher 3's Velen as a whole man this music is so good and fits Velen's atmosphere perfectly.

The Yakuza series is amazing,i started with the first one then i jumped immediately to the last game of the series which is the remake of the first one. Nishiki is better looking in the new engine,
Back on topic one of the greatest emotional moments i had in video game was in Divinity Ego Draconis The ending is sad ,with the protagonist being locked into another dimension possibly dead while the villain win.

Kiwami is definitely much better than the original, it gives a more indepth look on Nishiki's downfall plus having the fun combat of 0 doesn't hurt either. Be sure to pick up Yakuza 0 when it releases in January or Yakuza 2(one of the strongest entries in the series).

2nd place is the incident that happened in the 1st 15 minutes of that game.

Hmm, let me think of some that haven't been touched on yet... Recent-ish games ending on a heartbreaking note - the ending to The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. Oxenfree ended rather disturbingly as well. Bioshock ended on a great bittersweet note, while Bioshock Infinite's ending disturbed me for days...
