Someone on Nexus said they are in art.erf, which I don't seem to have. The Wiki says they are in artfp.erf, which I have, but exporting that gives me unreadable files.  I downloaded a mod that had changed the dagger I wanted to edit and tried to undo the changes the modder had made. Then change the colour of the handles. It sort of worked, but I'd still like to know how to get the original .dds files. |

I'm not 100% if this works, since it's a while since I done it, but I'm about 70% I've got the steps correct and I'm pretty sure your problem is that you are missing the fnvdump file. social.bioware.com/project/1936/#filesDownload the fnvdump file, extract it into a folder (don't think it matters which). Open the editor. Go to settings-import string-filenames-fnvdump-[number].filelist-open. It should import a bunch of file names. Try exporting the artfp file now. It should export with the names + arranged in proper folders as well. |

Thanks Kipper, that was what I needed.
I'll have another go at the daggers when I finish Act1.
Of course this means I'll spend all my time making minor changes instead of actually playing the game.
