Do you guys like it? Are you a Marvel or DC fan?
I'm really liking Rebirth, most of the stories are very solid. The current arcs on Superman and Detective Comics are awesome right now.

I'm a Marvel guy but very selective. Mostly ignorant on DC outside of Batman/Nightwing family.
Favorite runs/series:
Leifield era Deadpool, Xmen, Uncanny XMen, XForce, Xmen vs Avengers, Secret Avengers, Secret Wars 1&2, Deadpool Family, Planet/World War Hulk, Deadpool and Spiderman, Amazung Spiderman, Civil War 1, Astonishing Xmen.
Also love Daredevil, Man With No Fear, Iron Fist Daredevil, Dark Avengers. Also liked Son of Batman/When Dick Grayson took the mantle. Currently trying to give a fuck about the overly pc Marvel bullshit and looking into some Aquaman essentials.

Haven't read any Marvel or DC comics, just seen the movie adaptations. Really the first and only comic I've gotten into is The Walking Dead. I'm a fan of the TV show and after the Season 6 cliffhanger, I wanted to know more about Negan, so I picked up the three compendiums that have the bulk of the past comics in them plus the single copy issues to get caught up to current comic-verse... and HOLY HELL, is that a good comic! Now I'm all paranoid about them fucking Negan up in the show because his comic counterpart is my favorite character in any media right now, which says a lot.

Comic books in general are rapidly becoming absolute cancer. It's hard to think of a comic book series that hasn't been infected with bullshit SJW agenda pushing.

The only comics I've seriously read were the Amazing Spider-Man comics from the 60s. Not surprisingly, Spider-Man is my favorite superhero, though I would like to think that's because he's actually a well-written and unique character whom I can relate to and not just because I'm nostalgic.
I also enjoy the Marvel movies, the Daredevil TV show, and the Arrowverse before it went to shit. Fortunately, the latter fluctuates between being astonishingly good and hilariously bad, so I can still enjoy it even when the writer appears to have been drunk.

I am a huge Spawn fan. Not to mention, Harley Quinn is my favorite DC character...ever since Batman: The Animated Series in 1994.

Yeah, I like em. Marvel and DC are more familiar through movies than comics, but if had to choose I'd favor DC, because they've published some of Alan Moore's work (V for Vendetta and Watchmen especially). I am a huge fan of his work, but most of the comics I enjoy are not published by either DC or Marvel. Overall my favorite is probably Tintin by Hergé, but also some older Disney stuff is great (like some Donald Duck comics by Carl Barks, also those newspaper comic strips from 30s and 40s by Al Taliaferro). There's really too many to list them all, but some honorary mentions would go to Hugo Pratt's Corto Maltese comics, Maus by Art Spiegelman, and from Finnish comics artists I'd rate Petri Hiltunen as the best (especially his historical works, fantasy stuff and shorts are also pretty good).

I'm very into Marvel comics, have been couple years now. Started with Deadpool, though I'm not fan of Liefield's DP, can't stand his art- Bunn's zombie AU are where it's at for me. Currently I'm reading Civil War 2 event, team Tony btw, and tons of other titles. Gwenpool, Hydra!Cap and Invincible Iron man (cause of Doom) are the ongoings I'm most interested in at the moment.
On DC side I have read some Catwoman, but otherwise I'm not too into DC either comic nor movie side.

DC all the way. Unless it's classic Wolverine comics, in which case go Marvel. Though my favourite comic series is Hellboy, so I guess...go Dark Horse?

I haven't been able to give a crap about comics since the N52 for DC and that last Angela run from Marvel. I am in the process of collecting some older Spider-Man storylines though. I've read about half of the Fables books now as well, trying to finish those since that series ended.

I really like comics- when I had my iPhone a few years ago (I broke up with Apple) and Comixology had an app. That was EPIC. I am not a traditional comic fan and there are many reasons for that- I'm a book reader and I read vast amounts of books. So comics present some challenge for me in a way I find slightly daunting- reading around images and learning how to read the flow of the panels was frustrating- because it seriously slows down how fast I "read" it. Anywhoo- there were few comics I really liked but since that app crapped out and it was purchased (can't remember who bought it out but they ruined it) I haven't picked up comics again. One was Chew- The other was..Y The Last Man on Earth There was a 3rd one but I cannot for the life of me remember the name and that's the other issue. Comics are no joke- if you're an outsider or a noob GLWT. One of my bff's that I talk to daily knows about comics- I'd say she's intermediate level- and I have asked her for how to jump into some comics I thought I might like pretty much to no avail. All the reboots, Jesus.

Don't read comics. I'm fairly familiar with the DC universe though, growing up with a sister who is a big fan of it. Seen most of the DC movies, last I saw was Batman v Superman, mediocre.

I still dip and dab every now and then, and i'm more of a marvel fan. But lately the stuff that has been coming out has been just trash. The last Huge story arc i collected was secret wars and that was disappointing. Only saving grace was the artwork. It consisted of alot of talking and dialogue between issues and the fight scenes came within practically the last issue.
Now i'm collecting civil war 2, which again, eh has marvel heroes going up against each other yet again and some of the stuff that went down, especially with the hulk seems a bit forced and some characters i'm questioning how they can side with captain marvel in the wake of how she's been handling what happened with the hulk and how she's handling just everyday citizens. I'm mainly here for the artwork which is pretty stunning here as well.
The only other book i'm collecting is the ultimates and that is only because of Rockafort i think is his name? He did some amazing work on Hunter Killer for Image/Top Cow some years ago...everything else?...just can't get into x-men/inhumans...marvel is just too messed up with it's licensed characters and being restricted to use certain characters because of rights....they just need to buy back their properties (i don't see that ever happening tho)

Was looking for a comics thread. Glad I didn't make one, hehe.
It's weird actually growing up I always thought DC was kinda lame but as I've aged DC is slowly beating Marvel in my mind. The universe is just too good.
Anyone else into any image books? I've just finished the trades for Deadly Class and feeling kinda empty/traumatised. Bought up the hardcover of Southern Bastards which I'm looking forward to reading.

I truly believe this is the greatest single comic page that ever existed: Everything's great here-- drawing style, the fact that Megs and Optimus Prime work together, and, of course, the Megatron quote ps. Sometimes I dream of backstabbing people, just so I could be nicknamed Starscream

As someone who has been looking to get into comics. Anyone got any recommended starting points? Just noticed this thread. Depends on what you want to read, but DC's Rebirth relaunch has been decent minus a few books so far, and is easy to get into without you being required to know everything about a book's previous runs/vols.
The reading order for DC rebirth is...
Flashpoint vol.2 > New 52 (optional but for Supes i'd recommend it) > DC Universe: Rebirth > [name of book] Rebirth (acts as an issue zero) > [name of book] (2016)
vertigology.net/2016/07/03/the-complete-dc-rebirth-reading-order/
- For the more convoluted reading orders like the GL books, "Hal Jordan and The Green Lantern Corps Rebirth" check this list here -
comicvine.gamespot.com/green-lantern/4015-41148/forums/green-lantern-by-geoff-johns-reading-order-1681914/
Mind you, "Lost Army" and "Edge of Oblivion" are tie-ins for "Hal Jordan and The Green Lantern Corps" that helps you to get a general idea of wtf is going on in relation to the status of the GL Corps if you want to skip ahead.
- Superman Rebirth, i recommend you skim through Supes New 52 stuff, but if you want to skip ahead just read "Flashpoint, Superman Convergence, Lois and Clark" and the last 2 issues of "Action Comics vol.2, Superman Wonderwoman, Batman Superman, Superman vol.3", but read them in this order...
Superman Convergence Lois & Clark
Superman v3 - 51 Batman/Superman - 31 Action Comics v2 - 51 Superman/Wonderwoman - 28 Batman/Superman - 32 Action Comics v2 - 52 Superman/Wonderwoman - 29 Superman v3 - 52 DC Universe Rebirth Superman Rebirth - 0 Superman v4 Me personally the best Rebirth reads are Superman (best read) , New Superman, Action Comics, Detective Comics, Titans, Aquaman, Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps, Red Hood and The Outlaws, and Deathstroke.

My comic of the week this week, Black Widow #8 The Waid/Samnee run has been exceptionally good from the start. Easily one of the best books Marvel is publishing right now.

I've been less than impressed by comics' attempts to "stay relevant" in recent years.
That said, I'm giving Superman: Rebirth a try (I liked the "Lois and Clark" series they did following the Convergence)
I'm also trying out Spiderman: Renew Your Vows (a storyline that seems to have erased that cancerous tumor that was One More Day)
