This night thing? Is it recurring event or is this supposed to be once a year? Sounded interesting in parts. Tho is mostly the artwork that interests me.
To do in Warframe: Finally find the frikken last node, I havent unlocked. I saw like three reworks of the galaxy map. There were about 3 nodes I had somehow not bothered to unlock. Did finally Mot last bout playing Warframe and I'll have to try next time.
Is strange how I play Warframe. Last year it had me playing from like March to August very regularly. That is VERY long on one game for me. And yet, it came out of the blue when I kinda lost interest. I went to work on Friday, looked forward to play WF on week end, had trouble at work and just wasn't like being online. Over night game streak ended. Good thing is tho: Is not the game's fault. I'll check it out again later. Like I did already 4 or 5 times. Despite Bursa.

I'll check it out again later. Like I did already 4 or 5 times. Despite Bursa. Not entirely sure, but i think it's supposed the replace the previous alert system. Maybe it won't stay like this the whole time and they'll alternate between the "2 systems" depending on content they plan on launching, since the current one it's supposed to be tied to the new Gas City (so using nightwave as way to tease/introduce content and the other whenever there's nothing to introduce). As for the mechanics, I think i prefer this system, since instead of waiting for the right alert to appear you do challenges while playing the rest of the game (and possibly trying things you didn't do previously) and then purchasing what you want (there's a weekly stock tho). They also give some plat-only things like slots with it, which is nice. Cosmetics prices tho I'm not sure they're well adjusted. Edit: forgot to mention UMBRAL FORMA Nice job! All these "do high level stuff with a friend or clan mate" things are near impossible for me to do since there's no one I'd put through that on my friend list. I'd be all over solo jobs but the friend requirement screws me over. Luckily rank 30 in ten weeks should still be doable. On the bright side, it made me try out things I had never done before, like tranquilizing cute furry things in Orb Vallis. You can find a group on recruiting chat and then remove em from the friendlist like a lot of people are doing. Or expand your friendlist . I'm more pissed off about lengthy challenges like this week's. Ain't nobody got time for a fricking hour-long survival (not until the weekend at least ).

This night thing? Is it recurring event or is this supposed to be once a year? Sounded interesting in parts. Tho is mostly the artwork that interests me. Nora Night was inspired by the movie "The Warriors" It is neither a recurring event nor a once a year thing - it replaces the old alert system, which will now be exclusively used for things like Gifts from the Lotus and the recent sort-of-unvaulting of Saryn Prime and her toys. Instead of the old alert system, which gave us time limited missions with a fixed reward, Night Waves offers standing rewards for daily and weekly tasks. Daily tasks are simple, like killing 150 enemies with a certain damage type, while weekly tasks can be anything from doing 3 capture missions to one hour of Kuva survival without using any life support. There are 30 fixed rewards that are automatically unlocked in sequence from the standing gained from those tasks, including cosmetics, resources, inventory slots and a new currency called "wolf cred". Wolf cred is used to purchase items from the old alert system's reward pool at any time. Night Waves is planned to run in episodes. The current first episode is "The Wolf of Saturn Six", about a dangerous grineer criminal escaping from prison. He can randomly attack during missions like the Stalker, Zanuka or Grustrag Three, and escaped fugitives from the same prison appear in almost every mission and can be captured for additional standing. This episode is supposed to run for about ten weeks, after which we'll get new content, i.e. a new reward list and something other than the Wolf and his fugitives to watch out for.

I like it. Pick what you like to do and not what RNG presents you. I just skimmed over the news, but this sounds really sensible.

I have tried the new system, but the problem I have is the idea of missing out on something after the 10 weeks are up and I didn't get enough standing for the Forma or the the final cosmetic unlock. I have tried to so some of the challenges, but since I don't really play a lot it just seems like they are setting up for the players that already have a lot of time invested in the game and are locking out people that might not be as far. I know the old alert system wasn't the greatest because of the RNGness of it which only having an alert for a hour or so and the rewards are random, but what I liked is I knew that I could get the reward appear at another time so I never felt the obligation of having to log on to make sure I get it. Personally I think a middle ground needs to be found or there could be a group of people that feel alienated by this change and stop playing.

Personally I think a middle ground needs to be found or there could be a group of people that feel alienated by this change and stop playing. Folks have suggested to allow the unfinished tasks to stay for the duration of per episode (ten weeks). I think it would help new players have time to catch up and tackle the "elite" tasks when they're at the level. Then for the other players who don't have access to a computer for the week. ALSO, DID ANYONE SEE THE RIVEN MAFIA THAT TOOK DOWN SEMLAR? SPICY DRAMA.

You can always hit me up. *sad cat* I hated doing the conservation tasks, even with Ivara. Sometimes my shots don't hit them directly and most of my captures are GOOD. I especially hate Sawgaws and immediately leave the area. *the pain* Aw, thank you! My captures so far are either bad or perfect, and I'm not entirely sure why. Only one was good. The bad one was wonky because the animal seemed well tranquilized but kept clipping through the ground. The weirdest one was a Kubrodon spawning right next to me despite my distance to the lure point, high up on a shroom stalk that had grown a bit sideways. It immediately ran off and I emptied the tranq rifle's clip into its ass as it passed me. It slid down the rest of the stalk. And somehow, that was still a perfect capture. ALSO, DID ANYONE SEE THE RIVEN MAFIA THAT TOOK DOWN SEMLAR? SPICY DRAMA. I saw a video about it last evening It doesn't concern me that much since I usually can't be arsed with trading - the only things I tend to trade are syndicate augments after seeing the platinum prices for riven mods in trade chat - but that guy's ego and entitlement gave me a chuckle. Apparently Semlar is talking with DE now and they may even add the riven price check functionality to the game at some point.

A small PSA: Warframe's new "extract individually at any time from endless missions" feature does not interact well with the "do things with a friend" Night Wave missions. If you and your friend don't extract together, it will not detect that you played with a friend. Found out after 60 minutes of kuva survival without life support, extracting 30 seconds before my friend did.

I'm getting ready to move this thread back into the main Other Games category, I just want to give you all some advance notice. The bungie stuff got moved already, but the Warframe thread is more active, so I gave it some more time before proceeding. I imagine everyone has it linked in their bookmarks or recent threads, but you can also make a direct link with a personal-favorite accessible from the Nav Bar : bsn.boards.net/thread/17066/navbar-personal-favorite

I just realized that at MR20 I'm probably the scrub in this thread. Since I'd need to kill the Exploiter Orb for Hildryn parts I'm actually pondering to buy her with platinum unless I can somehow kill it on my own (lol) at some point - I feel kinda shy to pug such a big fight. Being able to do things on my own, at my own pace, is something I've always liked about Warframe. Anyways, next prime access is going to be Equinox Prime... which I'm happy about because regular Equinox could really use a more detailed model.

If you go in a premade group it's a pretty relaxed fight, but if you go solo, be prepared to spend 45 to 60 minutes per run. I did 10 runs to get my frame parts, 8 of which were solo.

If you see some tutorial so you can understand what's happening I'd say 30-35 min runs are likely. Failing that, recruit chat tends to work alright. I've spammed that fight for the cosmetics, but the damned freeze ephemera won't drop
