What? I just finished act2 again and wow, do I have a hatred against her. She wanders about, talks about and has sex with everyone and everything everywhere, catches diseases doing so. As a rogue she is the fifth wheel on the wagon with Varric being the second main character and I always bring him. Being extreme selfish, treating suiters (this is what she is all about anyway) with disrespect. I really wonder what is there to like about her? That she is a pirate or can hold her liquor? She is probably a companion for non-natural evil protagonists in just for fun playthroughs. I found her to be quite sweet in Act 3. Her crisis point in Act 2 changed her for the better. I cannot judge Act3, because she left with the artifact which caused hundreds of deaths and the fight with the Qunari in Kirkwall. In Hawke's estate I wanted to go straight with Aveline to the Qunari when Isabel says she would need an artifact to buy herself out of a debt from someone she betrayed before, but Aveline said the artifact may be important and I really appreciate her opinions. So I went to help Isabel first and found out she was literally playing the Qunari, me and the whole town for her personal gain. Accepting the deaths of hundreds of people. "Fuck you, the town, its people and the Qunari. I will never be free if I do not keep the artifact" -.- And a short letter afterwards saying "Sorry I lied to you again..." Oh well, then its OK! She is dead to me if I ever meet her again. I know only of one more person as bad as her and that is Anders. Typical Anders:

Isabela and even Anders is much better than he in many viewpoint.

Typical Anders: Regardless of Isabella, even if you hand the damn book directly to the Arishok, he will have already killed hundreds in a decision to make war that wasn't even sanctioned by his people. Blame him for that, Not Isabella. She's got her own bag a sins without adding others to hers.

Regardless of Isabella, even if you hand the damn book directly to the Arishok, he will have already killed hundreds in a decision to make war that wasn't even sanctioned by his people. Blame him for that, Not Isabella. She's got her own bag a sins without adding others to hers. Seconded. After the Arishok learned Isabela had fled with the book in her possession, he should have immediately given the order to leave Kirkwall. It was obvious that annexing the city would in no way help him accomplish his goal of retrieving the book, whereas leaving would have allowed his forces to try to pick up her trail before it went cold. Based on the Qunari's reaction to the incident being "We will never speak of this again", they didn't expect him to nearly instigate a war with the Free Marches either. Especially when the demand of the Qun he was following was meant to be a simple retrieval operation. Isabela leaving everyone in the lurch wasn't her finest moment, but she's not to blame for the Arishok going on a rampage.

I think what is so great about Isabela is that she is so uncontrollable - she really has a mind of her own and she isn't just following Hawke around like a sheep. Sure, it might be frustrating sometimes, especially when she doesn't always bother to communicate her intentions, but that's life, really. Behind that pirate bravado there's actually a well-fleshed out character who is fundamentally a free spirit - sometimes a bit selfish, but not a stranger to morality. Sure, she's not a champion of justice or anything, but not many people are. Her romance with Hawke really shows new sides of her and makes her more likeable. Ofc if one happens to be disturbed by her sexual adventures then I guess it's a lost cause... For me that's something of a non-issue (and occasional comic relief). Her and Hawke's lines during the Zevran quest are priceless Oh Hawke & Friends, why are you so crazy..

My issue with her sexual adventures is... actually, can I tell a companion to leave and never come back in DA2? If yes, then I have no problems with her sexual advances. I tried to suffer her to see her questline, but hitting on my LI in front of me is where I draw the line on forbearance on standing their with my mouse shut by the game's dialogues. Abandoned the play-through. If I can chase her away, I might pick it back up. Just hated her all the way through, then that piece de resistance...

When she back with Koslun, she is very nice, very much appreciates that she has a friend, who didn't leave her despite she betrayed him/her. I like her storyline. (Never romanced her, but saw video.) I admit, at first times I had no patience for her...

I don't feel like making her happy. what I want is a red/direct dialogue option when she is flirting with Fenris to tell her I am no longer find it acceptable to associate with her. Cold, polite, final.

Hehe, which scene? In Fenris' mansion? Or party banter? I know many people dislike Isabela, I wonder, why here he in equal with Fenris. True, many people find Fenris annoying.

The first time she does it. I don't care if it's in a cutscene or her banter with him. Fenris is my LI. I like him. I do not want Isabela to continue to flirt with him in front of my PC. I do not have this option. Instead, I would remove her from the party if I can. Permanently. In fact, now that I know, I'd rather not recruit her at all. Just like the first time.

... And this is why Hawke recently started using Varric`s advice and stayed away from any kind of romantic entanglement. At least in my PT`s. Why? Because all DA2 companions are crazy, only in different crazy ways. And a purple Hawke is a perfect fit ... I remember that scene between Fenris, Isabela, and Hawke in Fenris`s mansion. Your Hawke`s problem is not that Isabela is flirting with Fenris, but that Fenris is accepting it. The thing is, Isabela won't just disappear from Kirkwall is you refuse to recruit her. She will stay at The Hanged Man and has a good chance to meet Fenris without Hawke noticing it. Especially since Hawke & CO are destined to enter that tavern quite often. I have tried a few romances in my first DA2 PT`s, but no longer. My Hawkes are trying to stay cool with each companion and leave them happy, unhappy, frustrated, angry, suicidal, murderous, dumb, dumber or whatever. They can be all this and more, just not always near Hawke. S/he wants at least on some occasions a little piece of mind ... Juuust ... Joooking!

You know, that's just..... Especially when Leandra mentions hooking up femHawke with the Seneschal's son.....
I never bring Isabela in my party with Fenris. Even if I'm not romancing him.

When Leandra mentions that? And Seneschal Bran's son? Seneschal Bran too young to have a son, who can hooking up with fem!Hawke... C'mon, Isabela's not that bad!

I think it's part of the "find you a suitable husband" talk. She says that Bran has a son just about Hawke's age. I'd say Bran is in his 40s, so not too young for that.

Default male Hawke (~25 at the beginning) looks older than Seneschal Bran, this confused me. What about Émile de Launcet? Too bad, that he is a mage...! Bah, Leandra, she escaped from arranged marriage with Malcolm! (I mostly to talk to her after the bed scene with LI, because she seems to accept Anders / Fenris. I don't remember, who is the targeted female victim for male Hawke...)

Yeah, default male Hawke looks way too old so I always have to do some adjusting. I haven't heard a specific name mentioned for him though, just the "find a suitable wife" line.

I dislike Sebastian because he gets counted as a romance option in those never-ending "which group gets the most romance options" debates. Full credit with none of the benefits. Way to skew the numbers, Seb! =p

Ah, what Hawke doesn't see, don't hurt me. Plus, if PC beds someone, Fenris gets hurt and does not want to see her no more, but when Isabela does that same nasty on industrial scale in Kirkwall and on the High seas, it's hot. haha there is a comic just about this. FemHawke sees Fenris and Isabella snuggling and she goes, "What? Only my vagina is haunted then?" Fan explaination is that it's another 3 years before Fenris either returns to Hawke or Fenris/Isabella hook up. That time was used to get over his intimacy issues as well as his fear that he can NOT settle down with ANYONE with Danarius after him- cuz you kill the guy in act 3. And Fenris/Isabella is never implied to be anything but physical and never a romantic entanglement. That all said? Still can't put Fenris and Isabella together in the same team and hear that stuff. I'd be poly in DA2 in a heartbeat, even when I'm with other folks, I want Fenris to be my bedmate.

It's obvious that there should be an option to kill both Anders and Sebastian. The poll demands it... and you should all be grateful!
Anyway! I voted for Sebastian because I really can't stand his attitude towards... anything, really. The last straw for me was the Last Straw - I get it, you want to kill Anders... do it yourself, I guess? I don't really care? Besides, he doesn't even fit into main squad which consists bunch of mistfits (and Aveline who has to check them all). Does he even have any cutscenes with other companions? (like when you go to talk to Anders and at the beginning of the cutscene, he's checking Isabela for... whatever problem she has?)

(like when you go to talk to Anders and at the beginning of the cutscene, he's checking Isabela for... whatever problem she has?) I agree - I can fully understand, that Sebastian would want to see Anders dead, but then he should do it himself and not force Hawke to murder her friend (or even lover). I found his behavior illogical and very frustrating
