And since I was fussing with ME1 textures and was finally able to fix the damn thing with reshade, 4k textures and all the goodies, let's pray, shall we.
Kalahira, mistress of inscrutable depths, I ask forgiveness. Kalahira, whose waves wear down stone and sand, I had to install Origin for ME3. Kalahira, wash the sins from this one and set him on the distant shore of the infinite spirit by using Steam for ME1. Kalahira, this one’s heart is pure but beset by wickedness and contention. Guide this one to where the traveler never tires, the lover never leaves, the hungry never starve. Guide this one, Kalahira, and he will be a companion to you as he was to me and finally realize the best option he has is ME2 in disc format.
Damn, if it isn't Origin, it's Steam. I really hope GoG Galaxy 2.0 become a thing some day.

episode 22 is uploading in episode 21: we discussed a bit about wether or not give some info about cerberus's research (i don't know who would want some random tests with some acidic bugs...but well...) and, we came to féros and kicked some lamp-head

Got started with Cameo's Sentinel run of Mass Effect 2 today
so far we died and got brought back to life, investigated a human colony and gotten the Normandy back (along with some friendly faces)
We then headed to Omega and recruited Mordin and Garrus, right now we're on the Citadel having just recruited Kasumi and meeting with Bailey tomorrow I'll be heading over to the Council to see Anderson (and Udina), do some minor shopping and then head over to Illium to recruit either Thane or Samara afterwards I'm probably heading over to recruit either Jack or Grunt, though I haven't decided yet which of the two I'll recruit before we get send to Horizon

latest épisode aivable is 27 basically, we have done few more secondary task on different little planets, and we finally got on noveria and discoevered the exact definition of corruption and paperwork in this nightmare where we where blocked from going outside (for some unknown reason we did not simply had the wonderfull idea of just crushing through the security forces of noveria...i mean, they are all under-equiped, they would be no match for my squad and my heavy armor ) so, we had to be to patient, search things, etc... naturally, when we had the occasion to get rid of some of them (during searchings into a turian dude's desk) my squad and me where more than happy to desintegrate few member of the pseudo-security service . (especially the blonde who was over-confident in her biotic abilities, she learned the hard-way that her powers are nothing compared to an good shotgun loaded with pollonium rounds ) after that, we where able to go outside with our magnificent mako, crush some geth, and enter the isolated research facilities...and weird things began to happen, colours began to get affected, and my entire squad became kinda ...darker? i don't know what happened here, but it's certainly more than only few rachni cloning!

so today we did some recruitment missions, Samara, Tali and Jack to be specific, I did Thane's yesterday we also went to the Normandy crash site to collect the dog tags of our fallen crew and erect a monument (am I the only one who always places it where you get the flashback of the one left on Virmire?)
Cameo also helped out Liara with some stuff, though she got pissed at Liara for having given her body to Cerberus apparently Liara's reason for doing so is...and I quote 'I couldn't let you go'...Liara...we are NOT lovers, you had no bloody right this sentence she says right there is why I believe Liara has this unhealthy obsession with Shepard, I mean hell...she even keeps a part of Shep's old destroyed armor in her bloody apartment! That's not healthy now is it? Now...after some years of reflection I've grown past the 'I hate Liara' phase, but things like this still make me feel a bit...unsettled whenever she interacts with Shepard
Anyways, we also went to Horizon...which wasn't such a success I mean, Kaidan was there...which was nice...but he wasn't very happy with seeing Cam
something about her having betrayed the Alliance by working for Cerberus and not contacting him in her two year 'comatose' sorry babe, if I could've send you some brainwaves I would've...but as it so happens we'll just take a break from...stuff, alrighty?
so yeah, ended the day with recruiting Jack and unlocking some loyalty missions, still need to recruit Grunt which I'll do tomorrow maybe with a bit of luck I might also be able to unlock the Collector Ship by then, after which we can take things slow again...at least until we go get the Reaper IFF

Took care of some missions today, mostly side missions as well as the first two of the loyalty missions (Miranda and Samara) found and rescued Miranda's sister, and helped Samara kill her daughter Morinth also helped Liara kill the Shadow Broker...she's now a lady with a lot of secrets about pretty much everyone in the galaxy...I dunno if that makes me happy though yesterday I also took care of the last recruitment mission for Grunt and got the Collector base...that place always gives me the creeps I gave Cameo the Assault rifle training (mostly since assault rifles are a part of the Sentinel's package during ME3 and I like consistency ) right now I'm cleaning up the last few side missions in the Crescent Nebula before moving on to the next system tomorrow I plan on tackling one system at the time, discover all planets and take care of side missions as I come across them that way I can also do the loyalty missions in a different order that way...though I suspect tomorrow I'll be doing either Zaeed, Kasumi, Thane or Garrus...maybe even in that order, guess we'll see

Did several more Loyalty missions today (Zaeed, Kasumi, Thane, Garrus, Mordin and Grunt) just have to do a handful more (Tali, Jacob and Jack) as well as several side missions should take me another day or two to finish this playthrough, provided my game keeps working without doing stupid crashes *sighs* went back to the Shadow broker ship to grab some minor quest rewards (the operations terminal) then as I tried to return to the Normandy my game kept crashing, eventually had to use a workaround to get back to my ship not that those quests give anything besides some credits (which I'll likely not need 'cause I already bought all the items I need from the stores) but it's nice to have everything finished ah well, at least now I know what to do if it should occur again tomorrow I think I'll start out with taking out a Blood pack base, then head over to the Migrant fleet to help Tali with her trial...then all over the place some more for more exploration and resources to build upgrades
anyway still have a lot to do before we can go hit the Collector's in the daddy bags

I haven't DONE anything but I have THOUGHT about resuming ME2. It's crashed the last few times during Garrus's recruitment mission and it's kept me away. I wonder if the Gibbed Save Game Editor can make the mission complete and then I can move on to Mordin.

Today I finished up the last of the side missions and loyalty missions, also installed the last of the ship upgrades all that's left for me to do tomorrow is finish up the Overlord dlc (which I've started up, currently at Prometheus station) then head over to get the Reaper IFF, and the final few missions including Legion's loyalty mission and the suicide mission itself with a bit of luck I'll be able to finish up Cameo's ME2 Sentinel run tomorrow (currently at the level cap of level 30, was able to locate all my points so I have no left over) my current build (which I might adjust for ME3 import, not sure yet) in the spoiler tag
Throw - 4 ranks (throw field) Warp - 3 ranks Tech Armor - 4 ranks (power armor) Overload - 3 ranks Cryo Blast - 3 ranks Defender - 4 ranks (guardian) Armor Piercing Ammo (bonus power) - 2 ranks probably not the best build, but so far it works well enough

That way you have 60 free talent points to spend when you get control of Shepard in ME3. That is enough to max two talent bars (21 points each) and almost max a third. When you hit Mars, you will hit level 31 and should have enough points to max a third bar. So by the beginning of Mars, you can max the three powers you intend to use the most in ME3 right away.

I've noticed that the powers I used during this playthrough the most are Warp, Overload and Tech Armor (as well as AP ammo which I plan on taking in ME3 as well)
thank you for the tip

voice: Mrs. Limpknee. Good to see you. Please, have a seat on the couch and tell me what the problem is. ML: Its my youngest daughter, Julie, Dr. themikefest. She thinks she was dead for the last two years and had to save the galaxy from something called collectors. She had to re--. Doc: Mrs. Limpknee. Can you back up for a moment. How old is your daughter and what do you mean she thinks she was dead? ML: I'm sorry. Julie is 19. She plays videogames. She thinks she's Commander Shepard.
Doc: I see. Does playing videogames interfere with her social life/work/schooling? ML: She doesn't work except for doing a few chores around the house. She has a few friends. From time to time she will go to their homes to do whatever. I would guess to play games with them. She does well at school. Help my daughter doctor. I don't want to lose her. Doc: You won't lose your daughter Mrs. Limpknee. What does your husband think? ML: He's tried to talk with her with no results. He agreed with me that seeing you might explain why she's become so.....obsessed with videogames. Doc: Before I give a possible reason, why don't you tell me about the videogame you described. ML: I'll do my best. The main character was dead for 2 years. She was brought back to deal with a threat in the galaxy. The collectors. Julie, I mean the Shepard character, recruits characters to deal with the problem. Throughout the game, missions are completed that will lead to stopping the collectors. When done, they go on a suicide mission.
Doc: Have you ever watched your daughter play any of the games she has? ML: No. Well... a few times I would see what she's doing for a few moments, but that's it. Doc: It sounds like she's a normal person that might grow out of her interest over time. I would be concerned if it was effecting her life, but it's not. Have you thought about playing the game with her? It may not be something you wanted to hear, but playing the game with her, or at least show some interest in the game she's playing might get her to be impressed by your interest in what's she doing. Who know's? You might get a game with both of you playing that you really enjoy. I wouldn't worry Mrs. Limpknee. If something does change, then come see me again.
ML: Thank you doctor.

Finished up Cameo's Sentinel run of Mass Effect 2 everyone survived the mission, and told the Illusive Man where to put it was able to fill out the entire Paragon gauge and one block of the Renegade one...so Cam is no longer fully Paragon I kinda like playing Cameo this way, since Renegade options are generally quite impulsive it mirrors how I head canon her Cameo has a big heart, but is often impulsive and pissed of rather easily when people annoy her, get in her way or endanger innocent people at any rate, I'll now be starting up a run for Dragon Age 2, playing my canon Hawke I actually like playing this way since it somewhat symbolizes the time skips between the years/months between each of the games oh and today I was also able to grab another Mass Effect 2 achievement, so yay

episode 34 is the latest aivable/uploaded
so, basically, we went on few more space-trip to gather ressources, accomplish some duties, investigate some mysteries....and...flash news: Toombs is alive!
and we also scanned some keeper/watcher (i don't know the exact eng. term, it's "veilleur" in french) because let's be honest: millions of people live in the citadel, tons of people rely on the citadel, and no one really knows how it works, no one seem to wonder, no one knows what thoose keeper are, everyone knows it's forbidden to interrupt them, but who has invented this rule first? who stated first that no one must interrupt thoose keepers? it's like everyone is blindly following a religious cult without even noticing it!
once everything was done, we decided to go launch an offensive of virmire, cuz the concil indicated me that sarren seem to be preparing some crap down there.
by the way, virmir is a very beautiful planet, and it got some funny 4 legged crabs, that would probably remind some of us about this old 21st century internet meme called "crab rave"

all episodes are uploaded/aivable (so, total of 36) we continued our assault on virmire, i assigned ashley to go with galarians, cuz i find her even more boring than kaidan (and far more annoying). we punched a hole through geth defenses, we have put a mass in sarren's installation, shepard found an prothean wi-fi relay and was able to make his anti-virus udapte thanks to that, we even had the occasion to exchange few menaces with an evil space-lobster ! we turned-OFF the anti-air defenses and destroyed some geth after that, we decided to get rid of sarren's base by nuking it , so, i assigned kaidan to set up the bomb we went back to see if everything was normal, and learned that the geth reinforcment where coming, and that there was no time, so, we had a important decision to take: get rid of ashley or kaidan ? i though hard about it...but well: -kaidan got the excuse of having a crappy L2 implant (chakwas told me that it have serious side-effects ), and on top of that, he almost never interrupted my personnal -ashley don't have an L2, and passed her time to interrupt others to say stupid things (especially when liara was telling some things about her protheans theories during the meetings in the normandy) so, it make ashley the more annoying of the two + who got the less excuses, so, i decided to get rid of ashley (and i also could not let the bomb alone, cuz i don't want the geth to geth even a slight chance of turning it -OFF and using it) so, came back to the bomb position, and we found some personnal dead, and kaidan in fetal position, while massive geths where coming so, we destroyed thoose big geths. right after, sarren came and made his bad speech with his pétain-like solution, refusing to understand that he was just a consummable (=use it and throw it away) in the hands of the evil-space-lobsters, but fortunetely, my squad and me managed to force him to get away, so, we where able to finish the mission, and get away ourselves as well. after that, new meeting with the normandy's crew, kaidan's cry-baby moment, liara's bizarre psychic-intercourse (but well, from someone having tentacles instead of hairs....well, let's say i saw too much japanese animes to be surprised ) and everyone's comment about it. we headed back to the citadel, did few things, heard that the concil cannot trust me (before, i would have said nothing, cuz trust a guy just because he had weird dreams after touching old devices...well, i would not put big trust myself into that, but this time, i got several witnesses about the conversation with the space-lobsters! so, it's at least strange enough to get investigated! ) on top od that, we had udina being....just udina . but thanks to anderson (this guy deserve a medal for having helped me out to get back the normandy + an second medal for having punched udina's face ) my squad and me where able to escape the citadel, and go to an abandonned world, Ilos so, basically, what to say about ilos? well, it's kinda creepy, it make me remember this old moovie from the end of the 20 century, an moovie called "alien" (and more precisely, the sequence when they investigate the old ruins and the 1st crew to get infected by the xenomorph). but look kinda cool . garus and tali did not have exactly the same opinion as me, they found this place kinda creepy (maybe because of the staues?) in our investigations on ilos, we found something very, very interessing: an old prothean VI that was still somehow working, and who told us a lot, lot of interessing stuff! after the conversation with this old VI, we headed back into mankind's best AFV (the mako) and rushed to get to the special relay (the one that lead to the citadel's core) we managed to get into it just in time before it close! and guess what? we survived to the crash, yes. the mako managed to protect us from the violence of the crash. don't ask me how, i don't know, and i think the space-lobsters themselves would be jealous of such resilience . so, after getting out of the wreck of our beloved mako (you will always stay in our hearts!makoooo! noooo! ) we began to rush toward the concil's room (and crushed all geth who dared oppose us ) and we finally got to the room, and discovered that everyone was already dead, so, we kicked some more geth, and then, we ve met sarren, once again basically, sarren was even more endoctrinated, and his speech was so inconsistent that i was wondering if he wasn't drunk in top of the endoctrination, but well, i managed to make him remember how an honnourable turian should act, and i convinced him to commit hara-kiri/seppuku . after that, just to be sure, i asked garrus to get down and shot his dead body in the head (because that's what every graceful and stylish heroes would have done i guess? no? beh... ) but well, the problem was that the evil-space-lobster was still alive, and was still connected to the citadel (and some geth ships also attacked the asari's main spaceship, but well, i did not call mankind's ship to help it cuz i don't want thoose useless politicians to stay alive, the galaxy got enough useless politicians with udina alone, so, having the consil on top of that...it would be an overdose ) , and even worse than that, this lobster was an level 99 necromantic-mage ---> he hacked sarren's dead body and used it to try to kill us! but fortunately, my squad, my shotgun, my grenades and my heavy armor where stronger than some dark-magik, so, we desintegrated sarren's body , and the best part is that, during this fight, the lobster was so focused on trying to kill us that he forgot the space-battle that was happening around him, so, mankind's best pilot (joker) led an big and quite stylish charge against the lobster and the spaceships got rid of that lobster. but there was a detail that we forgot: the laws of physics, gravity, etc...(you know, that kind of annoying stuff ) while we where looking at how cool it was to see the spaceships destroy the lobsters...we forgot that the lobsters fragments where shutting down on us..and my squad and me got buried under some space-lobster parts . since i was a bit more buried than the rest of my squad, i took more time to get our than the others (and so, i learned that for an instant, they though i was dead....if only i knew it, i would have wait just a little longuer, just to get out and scream "it's a prank brooo!" ) but hey, the most important was that 3 on the 4 biggest galaxy's problem where solved: the concil, sarren and the space-lobster (the fourth and remaining problem is called udina, but hey 75% of clean is not bad!) and after that, i had to talk with udina and anderson about the future of galactic order...so basically...i had the opportunity to both: -go full militarism and expensionism -reward anderson for having punched udina in the face before so, i said that it was better if the alliance get more influence, if we got a bigger emphasis on military, and if anderson represent us (cuz anderson is a good guy, and udina is...udina.) and so, this is how ME1 ends

I inserted new dialogue wheels for the Victus Rescue mission, and now Garrus will seem a bit smug'er if you didn't walk him out of the last two games as a paragon.

Just Install Mass Effect 3 again yesterday. Let's see if the game still get me like it did in the old day.
ME3 is the best ME game in my opinion.

I might be going back to my original Shepard in the original trilogy (male, paragon, vanguard, Miranda as love interest, destroy ending, etc.) for a while. It seems that I cannot escape nostalgia. I think I'll call it the "Just Like Old Times" edition.

voice: Good morning Mrs. Shepard. May I have a word with you before you go in your classroom? Shepard: Good morning to you too Chancellor themikefest. I'm sure you want to talk to me about yesterday? Chancellor: Yes. I believe what was done the previous two times would be the best course of action. I will also have a meeting with all professors to inform them what they can do. The meeting will be at 1045.
Shepard: That's fine. This is the due date for the students to turn in their assignment. Fortunately nearly all already have, and on top of that I didn't have much scheduled for rest of the week except study time since exams are a few weeks away. Chancellor: Yes. Exams. By the way. My wife wants to know if you and your family would like to come over for dinner. A week from tomorrow.
Shepard: No can do Chancellor. At the last minute, my oldest daughters dropped off their kids and took their mother, Samantha, with them on a business trip to Thessia. They will be gone for about 10 days.
Chancellor: Ha. That explains why you look like you haven't gotten any sleep. I'll ask the wife if she can have it when your wife returns. Anyways. See you at the meeting.
voice: Mrs. Shepard, can I a--- Shepard: Oh crap!!! Angela? Is that you? You're about an hour early before class starts. Angela: Yes ma'am. Sorry I startled you. My brother is on leave from the Alliance and has been playing some video game all night that I wanted to get here early so I can finish the last bit of my assignment. Shepard: Video game: Let me guess. He's playing Mass Effect 3. Angela: It's the one with you in the game.
Shepard: I take it you're not a fan of videogames? Angela: I have nothing against them, they just don't interest me. Shepard: Nothing wrong with that. Ok. I will leave you to your assignment while i get the class room ready for when your fellow students arrive.
Shepard: Good morning everyone. Today is the due date for turing in your assignment. I have all except for two, Mr. Boxcutter, and Mr. Goode. Boxcutter: Here you go Mrs. Shepard. Goode: I saved the best for last Mrs Shepard, and may I say you're looking very nice today. Shepard: Ha. Flatter me all you like Mr. Goode, I'm still grading your assignment just as I will grade the others. Goode: Ahem...Yes ma'am, I mean yes Mrs Shepard. Shepard: As everyone, or at least some know that Bioware released a Mass Effect game yesterday. I know your folks weren't here years ago when the first two game were released, but what was done is take the rest of the week off to talk about the game. I have to ask, who is playing the game? Nearly 3/4 of you. Who has finished playing the game? Your kidding. 5 of you. Ok. To make it as spoiler free as possible, you can ask questions up to the point where Shepard, or rather me, has talked with the council.
Shepard: Mr. Goode... Goode: Yes ma'am. This isn't a question about the game, but why it took so long for the games to be released? I mean the reaper war ended about 32 years ago, long before I was born. Shepard: Good question. What happen is about 18 months after the war, I got a visit from Casey Hudson asking if he can do a videogame about me. He ran some ideas at me. I thought some of them were alright. He also mentioned that what the finished product looks like would most likely be far different from what I went through. He mentioned that it would take a number of years before the first game would be released since his company needed to be rebuilt after what happened. I never thought it would take about 20 years. Next question. Angela: Have your kids played any of the games? Shepard: Yes. The oldest, the twins, did. But they preferred playing as maleShepard. Mr. Hiccup: That's funny. Go broShep. Have you met Mark Meer and Jennifer Hale? Shepard: I have. Very nice folks. Jennifer did a very good job voicing me. Mark is a fun guy. The three of us spent many hours together while they learned some of my mannerisms so they can get to know about me and to voice the character. Todd? Todd: I finished ME3, and I won't spoil anything, but I want to know if Bioware will make a sequel? Shepard: I have no idea. Would I like for them to do another game? Sure. Don't know if others would want that. I'm guessing you would with your head nodding yes Richard: Can you explain how Mr. Vega works here at the university? Shepard: Ha. James is a good guy. Ok. After the war, he stayed with the Alliance helping rebuild. He was at a colony helping folks when a group of mercenaries showed up. For some reason they started firing at the people. Unfortunately a few were killed before being dealt with, and in the exchange of gunfire, Mr. Vega was shot in the torso and shoulder. Because of his injuries, there was no way he could continue his career in the military. As luck would have it, there was an opening for defensive line coach for the school football team. I talked with Chancellor themikefest and the head coach about hiring James. They agreed , but on the condition that if they see no results within 6 months, he will be replaced. He's still there, and the head coach of the team. Even led the team to two national championships. Monica: What was it like fighting the reapers? Shepard: Hectic, scary. No one knew if they could be defeated. Any questions about the game itself? Mr. Colgate? Mr. Colgate: Yes ma'am. Was the beginning of ME3 exacty like what you saw? Shepard: Not quite. The beginning was very different. I was in a conference room giving suggestions at what could be done. No matter what, I knew we needed to get the other species help to deal with the reapers. Just as I left Earth, the reapers showed up heading towards the planet. I went to Mars to pick up a former squadmate who was looking for more information about the plans that were found at an earlier time to explain what it does. Heather: Why did Cerberus try to stop you? Shepard: To this day I don't know exactly how they ended up being indoctrinated the way they were. If not, the war with the reapers may have ended much sooner saving a lot of lives. One more question before break. Kevin: Did you and Mr. Vega really fight on the Normandy? Shepard: No. When I first saw that in the game, I laughed. Just so you know, I received a copy of the 2 weeks before it came out. I only played it once. Ok Break time. We'll talk more in about 15 minutes.

Here's a promotional poster/banner I created for the return of my "canon" Shepard: Update: Here's the final version: that looks nice! how did you made the light-effect? I used GIMP. The reaper, Normandy, and mass relay were pieces of clip art I found online. I made two copies of each (making one black, and the other a lighter color). I also used a lens flare effect.

So... I finished my ME1 run I-dunno-How-many-I've-Done. In the end I was renegade adept MShep who told Liara to stop yapping and then apologized . I mainly used Cerberus armor which was restored by some mod, and they're good but I noticed why they got rid of them in the end: Shoulder armor got in the way of companions in many of the camera angles and the front armor expansion went in the way of Sheps vision when looking downwards. Liara was my LI and I mainly used Wrex, Garrus and Tali. Now that its over, I really feel like its time to jump to another galaxy and maybe we'll hear something about this Reaper threat there or not... the thing that has been pounding at the back of my head while playing 1 again after two years or so is: MEA is actually a better ME1. I'll see about that now and its my first NG+ and #3 in PT count. I'll keep this save anyway if I ever go to NG+ on ME1 and actually continue to the two games I like much less than 1 and A. Lets see if I post some pics when at home, I took craploads of shots of course as this has all the visual mods I wanted (basically 4k textures and super high antialias).

(cuz personally i ve totally gave up, too much crashes on PC)
