Brandi Shepard threw a party. Several crew members got drunk. Garrus and Zaeed booby-trapped the apartment (now Brandi is afraid to ever step foot inside the place again). And Grunt ate a lamp apparently?
I meant to finish Brandi's playthrough earlier this past week, but I got distracted by other things. So hopefully I will get to finish it this week.

So before Shep went to Rapist Island, she came across this little thing: so, we see integrated circuits, an zoom over an cheese-pizza portion being taken and with the cheese sticking to the other portions around, the werid statues of an ancient prothean world that you explore during ME1, an reaper, and some collectors.... i will think about it and try to get an interpretation of what it could mean....

With the Alliance fleet running interference outside Cerberus HQ, Brandi Shepard ran roughshod over the pitiful Cerberus defense inside the station. Brandi recovered the Prothean VI and discovered that the Catalyst was actually the Citadel, which had been moved to Earth for some stupid reason (Brandi kind of stopped listening at that point.)
Then Kai Lame showed up and talked some smack. Brandi yawned and smacked that Discount Phantom in the mouth, then stabbed him to death with her Omni Blade.
* * *
And in the "I wish I had been recording" category, something really strange and funny happened before I turned on my video capture. When starting the mission, just after I selected my squad for the mission, the game popped up a Critical Mission Failure. Somehow I died before the mission even began! And then after I selected the squad again, the game screwed up the 3D model placements on the weapon select screen, so I got EDI standing behind Shepard, EDI's legs, and EDI. It was weird.
I really wish I had started recording earlier, but I did not need to start recording until the conversation between Shepard and Joker.

The Galaxy fleet went to Earth to battle the Reapers. Brandi Shepard went to London. On the way to the Forward Operating Base, Brandi made a quick stop to destroy a Hades Cannon. It was an easy mission made super hard because of SCREEN SHAKE!!! Anyway, Brandi destroyed the Hades Cannon, then got picked up and dropped off at the base.
Seriously, as I have mentioned before, this mission is in the running for being the absolute worst mission in the entire series. I could probably put up with some minor screen shake, but minor earthquake levels of shake is just plain frustrating. Good thing I was not using sniper rifles.

I will try to her playthrough later today.

Brandi Shepard took a stroll through No Man's Land. It was heavily Reaper-infested territory, so it took a while. She finally made it to the missile battery, but the company had been wiped out. EDI made some adjustments to the targeting software, and while it was updating, she helped Brandi take out a bunch or Reaper troops. They fired the missiles at a Reaper Destroyer, but they missed because of some bullcrap interference from the nearby beam.
More waiting, more shooting, and finally the Reaper Destroyer got close enough so they could fire more missiles. Then everyone else fired missiles and took out the Destroyer. Then they ran to the beam (their transport kind of got wrecked) until Sovereign showed up a fried a bunch of them. Brandi got lightly toasted, but she made it to the beam, then up to the Citadel.
On the Citadel, she met Anderson and a very husk-like Illusive Man. Illusive Man was all partly indoctrinated and some such nonsense and could control Anderson and Brandi to some extent. He even made Brandi shoot Anderson. But Brandi eventually got Illusive Man mad enough to make him drop his guard, then Brandi shot him dead. Then Brandi opened the arms to let the Crucible dock. She shared the view with Anderson before he died.
And then a bunch of nonsense happened that has been talked about to death on the Internet and blah blah blah I chose destroy. The End.

I'm back to playing the trilogy after having finished Andromeda the other day
So here's my lovely (and badass) Luna Shepard
I changed her skin tone back to how I had her originally, mostly to have her look more contrasting to my Soleil Ryder (who in turn has warmer tones in her appearance)
and I've changed her pre-service history from Spacer to Colonist, as much as I like the Spacer background, having an entirely goody-goody background can be a bit boring
Luna is a Vanguard, and I picked Decryption as her bonus power so that I can at least open some doors and stuff even when not having tech savvy team members around as for her morality...I tend to play more Paragon then Renegade, but Luna will get more fun reactions to certain characters so she'll probably get some Renegade points in as well every now and then
currently I'm kicking geth ass on Eden Prime, having just stumbled across Nihlus' body, guess we'll have to wait and see where things go from there

so...
Went forward on Eden Prime, lost Jenkins and recruited Ashley to the team
Nihlus got shot by Saren, Luna finds the Prothean beacon, rescues Kaidan from getting hit by it's beam, gets hit instead and gets a vision or whatever burned into her brain
she then went to the Citadel, got fed up with bureaucratic bs. ('cause of course the Council did not believe that Saren is evil despite the fact he practically looks like a husk...seriously, what's up with that? )
gets info from Udina and Anderson to find leads to take down Saren, gets help from the officer in charge -Garrus Vakarian- and a Krogan bounty hunter called Urdnot Wrex
Garrus and Wrex point her to Fist (a local scumbag criminal), Fist tells them about a quarian who has information on Saren but set her up with Saren's men whilst having her think he's actually setting her up to be protected by his 'employer' the Shadow Broker (some highly intelligent information broker who probably knows how many times every citizen of the galaxy goes to the bathroom on a daily basis...that's creepy)
everyone following so far? Alrighty, let's continue...
so Wrex shoots Fist 'cause he'd been hired to do so by another agent of the Shadow Broker, Luna and company safe the quarian from Saren's men and take her to safety in the human embassy, there she introduces herself as Tali'Zorah and unveils information to take down Saren
*takes deep breath*
so yeah...that's been Luna's day so far (I also picked up a few side quests and such, like scanning the Keepers and finding information of organized crime for Emily Wong)
tomorrow I'll be presenting the information to the Council, get Luna inducted into the Spectres and head of to find Liara... and maybe also head over to Terra Nova after that...though I haven't decided yet

Ah, good times. Any interaction with the three bigheads is basically a test of patience for my Shepards. They got to keep their composure without going butthurt and blurting out stuff about "humans not getting recognition" 'n stuff - keeping the facts in mind that humanity got their embassy in record time of a few years, are involved in nearly all businesses and settling all over the galaxy like locusts. She (I cannot play male Shepars seriously) does not want to loose the perspective on those things, else she might end up like Terra Firma or those black-and-orange maniacs and their Husk-eyed Mary Sue boss. Oh, I forgot that he did not exist in ME. Definitely good times.

I tried playing Male Shep once...just once, but he never made it past the first game (I don't even recall his name...I think it was Ryan or something) Luna might snap at times, but it's mostly politicians or idiots who test her patience...and certain blue skinned aliens
ya know, I had to think a bit when you said black and orange maniacs, then I recalled Cerberus' logo are those colors
I love the trilogy, the only mission I'm dreading is the casino infiltration one from the Citadel dlc in ME3...I'm terrible at timing the correct time to activate those camera's
after I've finished up the trilogy I think I'll start on my canon Dragon Age run...or maybe stabilize my Skyrim copy (too many mods) and do a run of that one...haven't decided yet

I could not see anything that way. Now how did that happen... Politicians and idiots include Cerberus personnel for me, at least most of them. They obviously never heard of the "too dumb to live" trope. Everyone one this board seems to have beef with Liara. What is you major issue with her? I'll tell you mine: I actually like her confused/nerdy persona in ME. But as of 2, she got turned into yet another "badass with a gun". Bo-ring! Also there's the whole convoluted story about body-bag Shepard, the Collectors and Cerberus. Why did they frickin' do that? Yeah, I got some people on the dev team thought Cerberus was so immensely cool that everyone has to be involved with them, even if it makes no sense a.k.a Sole Survivor Shepard - or actually any Shepard who's not a spiteful braindead racist. Don't know about you, but for me, Cerberus is by far the dumbest thing in ME, if you could not tell from my ranting. Once one has played the later games they seem to be everywhere in ME as well. *shudder*
I got to finish at least a DAO playthrough as well. It has been waiting for months, but I only made progress step-by-step. I got into Skyrim just recently. watching a friend. Started as an argonian lady with focus on... magic (surprise!). But for myself, I need a new PC first. I decided that I'll only start using mods on this game once I made it through at least once. I'm playing on PC and I'm absolutely not afraid to use the console. "What? 5000 septims for a small hut in Edoras Whiterun? I want to store my stuff somewhere, running around close to over-encumberance for quite some time! player.additem f 5000!"
The hardest mission in the Trilogy, and it doesn't even have a 'Game Over' screen I know right? thankfully it'll take a while before I get there, gives me a chance to mentally prepare myself Ugh, yeah that thing. Where did my Tac-Cloak go? Hand me a guide. I also immediately agreed with Javik's idea of taking everyone hostage.

Ugh, yeah that thing. Where did my Tac-Cloak go? Hand me a guide. I also immediately agreed with Javik's idea of taking everyone hostage. I never really got all that invested in male Shep due to his voice...he's a bit to mono-tone for me (I do love Mark Meer though, he's a great VA)
my issue with Liara? Her unhealthy obsession with Shepard regardless of gender or romantic interest I mean...it's as if Bioware is forcing you to like her especially in ME3...why does she get so many scenes (alone) with Shepard? Let someone else check on Shep when they have nightmares, EDI for example, or Joker...or hell, the actual ship doctor! (for example I love that you can discuss your dad's memories with Lexi in MEA)
my problem with Dragon age is trying to figure out what my canon characters are, whenever I tend to have an idea another pops up and I get lost again... really, the only character I have a clear image of is my Hawke because my Hawke is always a female mage who romances Fenris and kicks her dear brother to the Wardens my Warden and Inky though...eh, yeah...they're still up in the air (though my Inky is probably going to be either human or elven due to being able to romance Cullen)
last time I played Skyrim I played a character who subverted the stereotype of her race.
played a badass muscular Altmer lady who wore heavy armor and pounded things with a two-handed sword, no magical skills aside from alchemy
my one problem with rpg's is generally ending up with more coin then I spend...which probably is due to me being easily satisfied and not spending much money irl. either oh and being over-encumbered...I tend to hoard things, in Skyrim they tend to be books (though I have a nifty mod installed which tells me which ones I already have) I also tend to be set in the way I play my characters fairly easily...so most of my characters either end up sneaky archers or mages...
yeah...Vanguard's don't have Tactical Cloaks...but I can at least Charge past the guards...right?

so... today Luna went to the Artemis Tau cluster and saved Liara, getting shot at by geth every step of the way...loads and loads of geth she also learned the meaning of the words "warning signs" 'cause something told her Liara was more then willing to express her gratitude in a few specific ways one of which included wanting to dissect her due to Luna being touched by Prothean technology...though Liara claimed it was merely an expression Luna: ...right *inches away from Liara*
she then went and talked a bit to her crew and squad, getting to know them and learning a few things about them - Kaidan had gone to something he called Jump Zero when he was younger, apparently some sort of research facility to learn about biotics, something told Luna his experiences had been less then ideal he also expressed some form of attraction toward Luna...more on that later
- Ashley had never worked with aliens before so was worried about certain members of the team being there (said members were in the same room as her...so...yeah) also apparently she and Luna had had the same drill sergeant before as well, so..that's something - Wrex doesn't like people asking about his past...or that of his people (genophage and all that)
- Garrus seems very eager to prove himself and found himself held back at C-Sec...which is why he joined the team - Tali loves the Normandy...and is touchy about the geth, she also told Luna a bit more about her people and the pilgrimage
- Liara (as said above) made a comment about wanting to dissect Luna...and told her she was confused about her mom joining Saren she also told a bit about the reproduction ritual of her people... - Navigator Pressly also voiced concern about having aliens aboard the Normandy (he and Ashley should start a club), but added he'd defer to Luna's judgment on the matter
- Joker has some sort of brittle bone disease, but is apparently one hell of a pilot - Engineer Adams is a cool dude, apparently he's sorta adopted Tali into his team - doctor Chakwas also seems like a nice lady
After that we went and found Admiral Kohaku's team, killed a thresher maw -on foot- we then went to Terra Nova and saved it from an astroid...and batarian slavers...*sigh* they always show up where they're not wanted huh? the batarian leader blamed the humans for the current predicament of his race, Luna let him go in favor of saving the hostages then we went and found a survey team who'd gone and gotten themselves turned into husks...and killed another thresher maw in the Mako (tried on foot as well but kept dying so I gave up)
tomorrow we'll be heading over to the Citadel to grab a few more quests, and then I'll be heading over to Noveria (something tells me Feros should be done first but I tend to do Noveria first due to reasons )

played a badass muscular Altmer lady who wore heavy armor and pounded things with a two-handed sword, no magical skills aside from alchemy trying the different ways is always fun. my last one was a tad stereotypical sword'n'board redguard but going for the legendary and opting out of the midcombat pause/resume (yeah no potions/power swapping either) made it for a bit of fun and grinding teeth... and smashing keyboard... and staring blankly at the load screen try a no looting run sometime, make an exemption for them quest/bosschests/levelled items if you wish, puts things in persepctive hold right there. what mod is that. i wants. big time. Wait. Which mission is that agian? the one tampering with casino cameras? it's been awhile and all but isn't it done in the non-combat mode??

Wait. Which mission is that agian? the one tampering with casino cameras? it's been awhile and all but isn't it done in the non-combat mode?? I've done plenty stereotypes in Elder Scrolls games, but like I said...I tend to revert to my favorites very often (magic or sneaky archer) I might actually replay my Altmer at some point (don't think I ever finished the main story with her), she was interesting to play I used the new beginnings mod and had her start out as a mercenary who went around towns do gather bounty money from the local taverns
though imo. it kinda seems as if the Dragonborn is meant to be a sneaky mage, seeing as both the College of Winterhold and Thieves guild are mandatory (unless you play with mods) to join in order to advance the main quest (though if you have high Speech skill you can opt out of the Thieves guild)
also do you want the special or regular edition version of the Skyrim mod? link (regular skyrim) and link (special edition) it's called "unread books glow" and it does exactly what it says on the tin, putting a glowing effect on books you haven't read yet, the glow is removed once you "read" the book
and yeah, it's the one tampering with the casino cameras...and you're right it's done in non-combat mode...me and Buckeldemon were joking about that

anxious i'm taking the thread off the track so gonna spoiler it trying the different ways is always fun. my last one was a tad stereotypical sword'n'board redguard but going for the legendary and opting out of the midcombat pause/resume (yeah no potions/power swapping either) made it for a bit of fun and grinding teeth... and smashing keyboard... and staring blankly at the load screen try a no looting run sometime, make an exemption for them quest/bosschests/levelled items if you wish, puts things in persepctive hold right there. what mod is that. i wants. big time. Done it for a tick and no long bother with the main quest forcing past dependencies either with console or mods again if/when need be. oh yeah i already got that one but it's about what you read rather then have. i was hoping you'd know one that tells you that you already have a physical copy of that particular book in a house/invenotory so that you don't end up with 10 lusty argonian maid vol.1 and book piles in every house that explode everytime you viist. anyways speaking of books/immersion here's another mod i find quite handy if you don't have it, Sometimes Pick Up Books LE for them i read that later moments gotcha. thought as much. just you lot had me confused there for a mo

didn't really do all that much yesterday went back to the Citadel, got a ship inspection...went down the elevator and got contacted by a C-SEC officer about a young woman threatening to kill herself Luna went back up the elevator to help said woman -seeing as she was from Luna's home on Mindoir-
the young woman introduced herself as Tabitha, and was clearly suffering from heavy PTSD and Stockholm syndrome, Luna was able to calm her down enough to give her a sleeping pill (and this quest imo. is easily one of the more powerful ones in the trilogy, it's subtle but also very emotional, and actually got me to cry the other day )
we then went back down the elevator, got ambushed by a reporter wanting an interview, Luna kindly answered all questions and may or may not have spilled the beans about her current assignment concerning Saren...oops? (guess we ain't making friends with the Council any time soon)
so today I think I'm going to try clean up a few more assignments on the Citadel, and maybe head of to Noveria after that...

I take the blame. My confusion is apparently virulent. After that we went and found Admiral Kohaku's team, killed a thresher maw -on foot- Did that part today as well, months of RL time after Therum. Also went into the neighbouring systems and found an asari slaver lady. Kaidan used her as target practise for discus sabotage mine throwing, while Shepard was busy admiring the sight of fireworks aka burning lifted space pirate. This is also the usual fate of Kaira Stirling in my games. (That b*tch!) Also, if the planetary weather does not like her rifle, she'll take HE ammo out and just shoot the ground at someone's feet. How did you manage the dune worm? After reading up that the Mako "steals" half of my XP, I usually tried to kill everything on foot, using the car as moveable cover. But the worms were always a no-go, because ista-kill barfs. *shudders*
though imo. it kinda seems as if the Dragonborn is meant to be a sneaky mage, seeing as both the College of Winterhold and Thieves guild are mandatory (unless you play with mods) to join in order to advance the main quest (though if you have high Speech skill you can opt out of the Thieves guild) also do you want the special or regular edition version of the Skyrim mod? link (regular skyrim) and link (special edition) it's called "unread books glow" and it does exactly what it says on the tin, putting a glowing effect on books you haven't read yet, the glow is removed once you "read" the book and yeah, it's the one tampering with the casino cameras...and you're right it's done in non-combat mode...me and Buckeldemon were joking about that Yeah, the "mandatory factions" character is as bit off-putting. As my friend and me were just getting into the game, she was running a W&S/Dual Wield Orsimer and got royally annoyed by Faralda demanding an Atronach summon, aka mana cost far above the default 100. We only found out later that there is also an option to demonstrate a dragon shout, as well as apparently the option to just go to that mad hermit directly. What do you mean exactly in regards to the TG? Is there a way to join them and later mess up a job, get thrown out and kill them all? No offense, I just don't find them particularly interesting. The Brotherhood is at least a bunch of murder clowns. My Argonian isn't much into awesome thievery anyway. Keep the head down if it works, otherwise BLAST THEM! How do you make a sneak mage? Since I did not play any other TES game yet, I had no idea that the game allows it until reading up on Eola (All hail the cult of nom-nom-nom!) and the Nightblade archetype. I imagine sneaky mages are either a magic assassins sneaking in and then killing a target quickly using a combination of melee attacks and damage spells (similar to ME Infiltrators) or focusing on Sneak/Illusion to stay undetected while turning enemies on each other with spells, mopping up the survivors with conjured creatures.

I got on one of those elevated areas and just side walked away from the Thresher maw's spit, lost Kaidan briefly...remembered I had Unity and resurrected him sadly I missed one of the dodges with the second Thresher maw and just killed it in the Mako afterwards I too tend to kill most things on foot, 'cept for those Geth armatures...and Thresher maws...unless I feel like doing the latter on foot (which isn't often)
next part in spoiler to keep the thread neat there's a mod that's called "thieves guild requirements" and it basically tells you that you need a sneak skill of a certain level + a certain amount of items stolen (those can be adjusted) I just tend to make those requirements ridiculously high so that Brynjolf doesn't ambush my character first thing when entering Riften market also seem to recall there's a mod that allows you to...sorta join with Mjoll? it then allows you to "disband" the thieves guild by locking them all up...kinda like the "destroy the brotherhood" quest but with less violence (it also has a link in the mod above to another one, that allows you to actually destroy them, might be more your speed )
as for a sneak mage...well one idea is... you take the muffle spell from the Illusion tree, + the quiet casting perk from the same tree (also works on shouts) add a conjured bow from Conjuration and presto! Sneak mage though I have to admit most of my sneaky archers are just...well...sneaky archers (sneak + archery) also once made a poison that could fell a dragon with one shot (pretty sure that character was part of the DB and had the jarrin root + a mod that allowed me to plant it)...it was awesome and to be fair...none of the guilds in Skyrim (aside from the Dawnguard imo.) were all that interesting I mean... the Companions have werewolves...but once you get that it kinda becomes...meh? one of my characters was my completionist run...had her do everything, including join every guild, become Thane of every hold, get all Daedric artifacts etc. ...then she got married (boring gimmick) and adopted some kids (another boring gimmick), and proceeded to become a hermit on Ravenrock in order to avoid having to go home to them I kinda wanna revisit Skyrim, but I'm afraid I have to many mods that make it unstable... (which leads to crashes and...frustration)
