Exactly what it says on the Tin. Apologies if this has already been covered, or this is the wrong sub forum. So what kind of new Bioware style RPG would you like? I'm partial to Superheroes, but I also would love a GTA type game where I can actually choose to be a Lawful Good hero, a Robin Hood-esque vigilante, or sociopathic gangster, instead of being railroaded into the latter.

I want another take on Jade Empire or a similar new exotic setting with minimalistic micromanagement of inventory/skillsets, unusual species (no elves-dwarves-humans) for PC, unusual weapons, totally awesome lore and great dialogues. Fast, fairly simple gameplay. Outstanding visuals, like JE or Gree.
All and all, I want a breath of fresh air! Something different.
And down with the shades of gray already! It just breaks the flags and make for headaches. Gimme Blue vs Red.

What's an "Urban fantasy" something like vampire the masquerade? Vampire: The Masquerade falls more into the gothic horror segment. Urban Fantasy is basically fantasy set in a present day city, often with female protagonists romantically involved with angels/demons/vampires/werewolves/aliens/whatever. Some of the more... special variants of the genre even have interesting creatures like "were-swans". Just imagine that. "You just wait until the full moon! I'll... I'll... eat bread!"

I'd love one of two things:
1.) An urban fantasy, possibly with horror flavor thrown in. So like, think vampires, witches, werewolves, ghosts, etc....
2.) A superhero (or rather, superpowered people) rpg. Something like where we play as one of a new group of oppressed people who exhibit superpowers.
3.) Would also not be opposed to something cyberpunk.
EDIT for replies to above comments,
Honestly, I'm a big fan of the World of Darkness Games (Vampire: The Masquerade is one), and I think they count as Urban Fantasy, just a very dark, horror-focused urban fantasy. So I wouldn't say you're wrong, to be honest. Sure you can make distinctions between them, I'm just saying that most of the elements of Urban Fantasy are there, and I never liked how Urban Fantasy is so...romantically focused, as the above poster pointed out. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I just think there's plenty of room for lots of different types of stories in an Urban Fantasy.

The World of Darkness games can probably be Urban Fantasy or Gothic Horror, depending on the story/campaign being run, and Urban Fantasy seems to have spawned some sub genre called Paranormal Romance that is totally romance focused. I'm a huge World of Darkness fan too, and I hope Paradox gets around to making another Vampire computer RPG before I frigging kick the bucket!

I thought that Urban Fantasy was like Jim Butcher's novels, with a modern setting and magic sort of existing as an underground sort of subculture.

I'd define Urban Fantasy as any world where the setting is the modern world, but with elements of fantasy incorporated in some way, whether openly or underground. Technically, I'd say Harry Potter counts, except that 99% of the story takes place exclusively in the fantasy part, whereas Urban Fantasy tends to be more integrated. Think vampires connected to the mob, wizards who use shotguns, trolls in the sewer system, you get the idea.

Urban Fantasy, Superheroes, and Steampunk
I could like any of these, though I would like them to have a bit of a darker edge to them. I don't have that many specific desires, I guess I feel these genres lend themselves to a more action focused system. As long as Bioware puts great effort into the lore and companions, I'll probably be very happy with the setting.

Not so space. Not so fantasy. Not so tech. Not so magic.
If they want to 'cash in' on 'superheroes', go for it. It'd summon up many rolled eyes from me and many others, but a Bioware take on superpowers, if they care to do extensive 'lore' about it? Hey, could be good.
Dark, often urban, fantastical superheroes in a relatively real world setting? Sure?
I'd also be curious about Bioware's take on something like The Secret World/World of Darkness and such.
This doesn't mean dark dark edgy dark dark. It could even be superheroy by day, secret mythos world by night, thematically speaking. A techy element? Sure. A magical element? Sure. Just don't be a more traditional fantasy or try to be a sci fi movie-game. We got that covered.
Parts of Shadow Realms intrigued me even if I didn't have confidence (or lack of confidence) in it until seeing something more solid. They can go for something like that.
Frankly, Bioware's always going to have 'empowered' protagonists. They just always have, and always will. There is no 'normal' playable protagonist in these games. Even Hawke is exceptionally skilled and goes into some superheroy role within Thedas, and was even earlier envisioned to have some blood or dragon power or something. So they may as well try their hand at 'superheroes' (in some sense).

I selected urban fantasy or gothic horror, but neither really fits what I want. I want to see their take on something like Infamous or even Dishonored: a game where there are things that go bump in the night, and you're one of them. I feel like everything they've been doing has had cosmic horror-y overtones, and making it the focus might be interesting.
But lets face it. It's Bioware. I will buy it, play the hell out of it, and enjoy it even if I don't normally like the genre it's in.

I'd like a JRPG inspired world to be honest. I fancy them much more than western RPG worlds, which have been mostly the same since forever.

I want it to be so many things, that I wouldn't worry if it's not one of them, but I hope Bioware try new IPs in these settings: Horror RPG: Something like Secret World, or a serious Shadow Hearts. Perhaps a western Shin Megami Tensei, or a World of Darkness. So many cool stuff they can do in today's world. Steampunk: I say this because there's a lot of major steampunk fans at Bioware, so I think they could do it justice. Jade Empire: They need to go back to Jade Empire someday, that setting was awesome as fuck!

Steampunk/horror/urban/all things noir. I don't need them to reinvent any genre, just make it solid, waterproof plot-wise and with interesting multidimensional characters.
A solid case to investigate would be most welcome, I love searching for clues, tracking down potential culprits, etc.
Also, shooting off heads while doing all that would be a nice touch.
