I started it just now by accident. Talking to her in ME2, I tried to be nice and the next time I went into my cabin Ashleys picture frame was tipped over. This is when I realized it may have been too intimate. All the others have some direct answer yes/no to start a relationship. Jack is now thinking about what I said, if I could remember what it was. She is an interesting troubled woman and if you know what becomes of her in ME3, even likeable. Her quest in ME2 is really some horror movie material in that lab. p.s. wrong forum -.-

The best way to avoid a romance with Jack is to have renegade sex with her after her loyalty mission.

In the last playthrough I didn't romance her or have sex, but I was also really official when talking to her, not going deeper into anything she said. On the ship she would be my logical second choice after Ashley, who is not around. I also do not play as a super nice guy. I could imagine sticking with her or start yet another relationship in ME3. It would be really nice of Bioware if you could do the romance thing in the first game and then concentrate on the missions for the other two.

You can still break it off with Jack and Ashley's picture will pop back up. Just do a mission and talk to her again and select the option "You're taking to long." She'll be mad and swear at you for the rest of the game, but your faithfulness to Ashley will remain intact.

How do former partners react if you choose someone in between? Would I be able to bond with Ashley in ME3 anyway? I read Jack has not much to do in ME3 and is no squad mate. There are supposed to be some special moment in the Citadel DLC, which I didn't have installed the last time I played. The story of Ashley is known to me and really good in ME3. I'll continue with Jack and see what happens when that Alliance soldier finds out in ME3

I found Jack's nookie scene in ME2 to be too sappy. I was really looking forward to the romance from the first playthrough, and was planning to stay faithful to her in me3, but now I am not sure. I will see how it goes. I was romancing Liara before I firmed up my character concept as a human supremacist, so while it is not that much of a stretch that he'd use a sub-human woman, a human one would be better, but I did not like Ashley's romantic dialogue in ME1. I think you can flirt with Ashley though no matter what happens in the first two games.

The dialogue early on between them is a little "testier" than if you're faithful. Just be careful with your responses.

If Ashley is going to be recuperating as long as Kaiden did, Mark will probably be bouncing squid babies on his knee by the time she strolls back on the Normandy's catwalk.

Just to let you know, this went very well with dating Jack in ME2.
I did meet Ashley in ME3 and told her I am truthful, afterwards I met Jack who hit and then kissed me (best scene ever). I said This between us is finished and she took it very well. There was one more line in Purgatory where she says she is not good with her Exs. Everything Ashley related continued as planned.
Currently installed is the BackOff mod, but it does not change so much for Ashley and this is the Vanilla way.
Next time I may just stick with Jack, unfortunately she has not much dialogue in ME3 and no banter for on board the Normandy.

Fraggle absolutely loved it and said it was great in ME3, so maybe you'd like to chime in on this one fraggle ?

Yeah well, it's all a matter of taste, as always In some cases, I like sappy a lot, and the romance with Jack was one of those times. To me, the relationship between my Shepard and Jack was all about them finding an anchor in their love for each other and growing as a person from it. Jack was a tough nut to crack, and my Shep was used to getting girls left and right (yeah, he whored around a little), so seeing him fall for Jack and patiently waiting for her to be ready was amazing to witness. Jack's scenes in ME3 are among the best for me so far, but only with the Citadel DLC there's enough content to be really satisfied. Still, I just love Jack a lot and her romance arc was really rewarding, but no doubt this is not for everyone.

I wouldn't necessarily say it's not worth it without Citadel, but I was just making people aware that the content would be rather short, much shorter than romance content with your ME3 crew. That's a fate all of ME2 LI's share, so Jack is not the only one.

Jack may be the hardest one to accidentally romance, did you just not read the dialogue wheel before clicking?
